Aleksandar Veljic | 2 comments Anti-Semitism and neo-Nazism are on rise in Europe, particularly in Hungary. This trend has its historical precedent in the last century.

In April 1941, northern Serbia was occupied by Hungarian regent Miklos Horthy, an avid anti-Semite who managed to evade post-war justice. His crimes have remained unaccounted for in history. Yet, a most gruesome act of Holocaust took place in January 1942, in the Serbian city of Novi Sad and surrounding areas where Horthy's troops tossed thousands of Serbs and Jews into icy rivers Tisa and Danube. One of the main perpetrators, Sandor Kepiro, was released in Budapest court on July 18, 2011.

The Holocaust Memorial Society cannot stand by silently regarding this travesty of justice! Our book "Genocide Revealed“ cites numerous testimonies and documents as a valuable insight into the crimes committed in Europe by Hitler's ally Miklos Horthy and his cohorts. We join hands with all those who strive against the repetition of history.
