Simply (ninjaofthekeyboard) If there was one place where a ghost felt most at home, it was Henry's home. IT was kind of off to the side of the school, but the dreary building was not easily over looked. Yes, Pnuema was absolutely intruding, but she just loved being here. Henry had never met her, but she had watched him for a long time. He was so interesting, and bizarre, much like herself; one of a kind.

She didn't wander into his room, or the basement. She only went where an accepted guest would go. At the moment, she was gazing from the library at Daisy down below in her paddock. She was beautiful, she really was. It made her wish that animals weren't so sensitive to ghosts, so that she could go down and be with the horse.

message 3: by Jasmine (last edited May 06, 2013 11:26PM) (new)

Jasmine (jasminethetallirishflower) Daisy, in the paddock, was chewing grass, unaware of the ghost girl watching her.
Even though she loved Henry, she really hated these boring moments in the paddock. She wished that she could go into the academy, but sadly there was a no pets policy, which she thought was ridiculous since half the student-body was part animal. Standing in a field was so boring, but she will admit that the grass was delicious.

((Love your idea, Rated! Pnuema can happily haunt Henry's house.))

message 4: by Simply (new)

Simply (ninjaofthekeyboard) Pneuma rested her hand on the glass, causing frost to build up around her almost transparent ligament. Based on her happiest haunting place, she looked much like a Victorian beauty, and true divine specimen of what the perfect Victorian would have been.

However, Pnuema was not happy. Henry had not come inside and wandered about for days. It was just his room and Daisy. He had not time to notice that the rest of the rooms were in perfect order, at all. She had even been able to put eternally frozen baby's breath in a vase near the front door, yet he did not notice. He was headless after all, but still....

Pnuema suddenly became aware she had filled the entire library with cold fog and tsked at herself. She pushed through the glass and floated down into Daisy's paddock, watching the great beast with absolute silence. Ghosts, after all, did not make sounds unless they willed themselves to.

message 5: by Jasmine (new)

Jasmine (jasminethetallirishflower) Just as Daisy was about to grab another mouthful of grass when something in her stomach told her that she was being watched. She looked around her. No one could be seen.
But the uneasy sensation didn’t go away, so she stomped her right hoof and whinnied with annoyance. Then, she noticed that frost covered one of the house’s windows. That’s certainly not normal, she thought.

message 6: by Jasmine (new)

Jasmine (jasminethetallirishflower) Henry walked along side the fence, Orianna beside him. He looked around to see where Daisy was, saw her and called for her.
Daisy, with ears pricked upwards, raced to her rider, and stopped at the fence.
Henry began to stroke her great head, whispering a "hello" to her.

message 7: by Jenna ⭐ (new)

Jenna ⭐ (sungkew) Orianna smiled at Daisy as she came rushing to the fence and Henry stroked her. Her hands folded in front of her, a simple gesture, reflexive gesture. "Nice to see you again Daisy." She said.

message 8: by Jasmine (new)

Jasmine (jasminethetallirishflower) ((Sorry! Never saw the comment!))

Daisy nodded to Orianna. “And you too.”
Henry stopped stroking, and looked up to see a sky full of grey clouds. Thunder echoed. Soon lightning will follow, as well as rain. He needed to ask and get answers quickly. “Daisy,” he said, “do you know anything about what’s happening between angels and demons?”
Daisy raised her head higher. “Of course I do.”
“Can you tell use?”
“Of course not.”

message 9: by Jenna ⭐ (new)

Jenna ⭐ (sungkew) ((That's alright!))

Orianna was a little stunned at the answer Daisy gave, "Why... Why not?" She rested against the fence, propping her head up with the palm of her hand.

message 10: by Jasmine (last edited May 20, 2013 10:54AM) (new)

Jasmine (jasminethetallirishflower) Daisy turned her head to Orianna. "Because I don’t want to drag you into things that are dangerous. And trust me; the feud between angels and demons is dangerous.”
Henry crossed his arms. “I can take care of myself.”
Daisy snapped, “You can’t even stay in the rain, Henry, let alone fight against angels and demons!”
Henry, his feelings slightly bruised, bowed his head low as he unlocked the paddocks gate and opened it for his horse.
Admittedly, Daisy did feel bad about snapping at him like that, but it was the truth. She walked out of the paddock and followed her master and Orianna to the barn.

message 11: by Jenna ⭐ (new)

Jenna ⭐ (sungkew) Inside the barn, Orianna smiled up at Henry, trying to bring his spirits back up. She really didn't like it when people were sad; it was always nicer when people were happy. That was one of the reasons Orianna didn't want to hear about this war deep down: it would mean death and destruction. But still, they needed to try and get some information about this war so they were prepared, "Isn't there anything you could tell us, Daisy? So we're at least careful, that is?" Orianna shifted on her feet, anxious for her reply.

message 12: by Jasmine (last edited May 20, 2013 10:55AM) (new)

Jasmine (jasminethetallirishflower) Daisy pondered about Orianna’s question. She stood in the barn and inspected her surroundings. Warm, no holes in the roof, and nice straw on the ground. All in all, it was a decent place.
Finally, the answer she came up with was, “Stay away from that angel Samuel and a guy named Sebastian Novak.”
Henry, who had appreciated Orianna’s smile and felt a little better, asked, “Samuel?” He turned to Orianna. “Wasn’t that the guy who talked to you at the lake?”

message 13: by Jenna ⭐ (new)

Jenna ⭐ (sungkew) Stunned at the mention of that name, Orianna just nodded. She hadn't had any contact with Sam since that day at the lake and she'd been wondering if she'd ever see him again. He'd offered to take her to heaven one day, a place she'd always fantasized about, but was he really to be trusted; she didn't know. But he was an angel, right? Didn't that count for something? She shook her head, not knowing what was up anymore. And this Sebastian... She'd never heard of him before, but she wondered why Daisy wanted them to stay away from him. "I haven't seen him since that day..." Orianna told Henry, "I don't even know what he could be doing right now."

message 14: by Jasmine (new)

Jasmine (jasminethetallirishflower) “Good,” interrupted Daisy, “that means avoiding him will be even easier.” With that, she lid down on the straw and threw her head into the air, refusing to look at them anymore.
Henry, unable to contain the question anymore blurted out, “How did my father help the demons?”
She said nothing.
“Daisy,” he said sternly, “tell us. Now.
Turning her head to them, Daisy gave only a huff of a response and closed her eyes and held her head up once more.
Defeated, Henry nodded to the barn door. “Come on. It’s no use; she won’t tell us anything else.

message 15: by Jenna ⭐ (new)

Jenna ⭐ (sungkew) Orianna walked out of the barn beside Henry. Her mind kept reverting back to the war and what she would do if it really was angels against demons. "I'm sure we'll figure everything out sooner or later." Orianna said, trying to keep the mood somewhat light though it obviously wasn't. Thunder cracked overhead and she began to wonder what they'd do if it started raining.

message 16: by Jasmine (new)

Jasmine (jasminethetallirishflower) It did.
A drop of water fell and hit Henry’s outstretched hand that was closing the barn door. Pulling it back, he hissed and cradled his gloved hand. Even if he was wearing clothing, he was at waters mercy. He stepped back a little, trying to cover his body under the barn’s overhang.
He looked at Orianna. “Do you mind going into the house and getting my umbrella? It’s right at the door, in a vase. I’ll open the door for you from here.”

message 17: by Jenna ⭐ (last edited May 18, 2013 09:06AM) (new)

Jenna ⭐ (sungkew) Orianna noticed the drop of water that hit Henry's hand. So he really couldn't go in water... She nodded vigorously at Henry's request, "Yes, of course." She nodded and ran up the steps to the house, actually enjoying the rain.

message 18: by Jasmine (last edited May 18, 2013 11:43AM) (new)

Jasmine (jasminethetallirishflower) Just as she got to the door, Henry waved his other hand - careful of the rain - in the doors direction and it opened with an eerie creek.

(view spoiler)

message 19: by Jenna ⭐ (new)

Jenna ⭐ (sungkew) ((Haha! Typo, sorry. I fixed it like a second after you posted :) ))

Orianna stepped inside, taking in the interior of the home. The inside had a beautiful red color scheme: red walls, scarlet floors, and maroon furniture. A huge spiral staircase led up to the second floor. Orianna wondered what could be up there, probably a bedroom or two, but she decided this definitely wasn't the time for sightseeing. She peeked over next to the door and found the glass vase Henry had described. Her hand grasped the handle of the umbrella and she rushed back outside, "Here you are." She said, breathing lightly. She handed the umbrella to Henry.

message 20: by Simply (new)

Simply (ninjaofthekeyboard) Pnuema was right next to Henry, looking in the barn at Daisy. Of course, she was invisible to their eyes, but she supposed Daisy would not have as hard a time with her as anyone else did. She looked at Henry once more and put a a feather light hand on his shoulder, then floated into the barn, and stood before Daisy, slowly becoming visible.

message 21: by Jasmine (new)

Jasmine (jasminethetallirishflower) ((Sorry! Just had dinner.))

“Thank you.” Henry quickly opened up the umbrella and put it over both of their heads. He was slightly embarrassed that his umbrella was white with pink harts on it, so before she judged his man-hood he said, “My father bought it for me – it was a joke.”

message 22: by Jasmine (new)

Jasmine (jasminethetallirishflower) Daisy, opening her eyes to see a young Victorian girl, let out a shriek.

message 23: by Jenna ⭐ (new)

Jenna ⭐ (sungkew) Orianna laughed, "Your dad has a nice sense of humor then!" She smiled but jumped at Daisy's shriek. She whipped around, careful not to knock anything over in the process. A young girl in old fashion clothing stood in front of Daisy, her form an almost ghostly white. Orianna was more than a little confused: had she been there a moment ago? Was she just seeing things? But, then, Daisy must see her too...

message 24: by Jasmine (last edited May 18, 2013 11:44AM) (new)

Jasmine (jasminethetallirishflower) Henry whirled around to see nothing. Daisy was on her hoofs, pounding the ground and whinnying, in obvious distress. But Henry didn’t know what at.
“What is it?” he asked Orianna.

message 25: by Jenna ⭐ (new)

Jenna ⭐ (sungkew) Just as soon as Orianna had seen the girl, she vanished from her sight. There was nothing there anymore: no outline, no shadow, nothing. Orianna turned to Henry, "I-I thought I saw something..." She blinked, "My eyes must have been playing tricks on me." But then... Is that what Daisy had seen too?

message 26: by Jasmine (last edited May 20, 2013 11:00AM) (new)

Jasmine (jasminethetallirishflower) Henry, worried about what had Orianna seen, left her side, put the umbrella on the ground and went over to Daisy to calm her down. Spooked, Daisy reared up, but Henry started to make soothing sounds and didn’t flinch at her flailing hooves. When she was on the ground he started to stroke her nose, trying everything he can to calm her down. “It’s OK,” he whispered.
Daisy stopped, listening to her masters words. What in the world was that? Where had the girl come from? Her heavy breathing eased, and she went into a trance-like state of mind. It’s all in my head, she thought. Worrying over this war is making me delirious.

message 27: by Jenna ⭐ (new)

Jenna ⭐ (sungkew) Orianna just stood still, raindrops falling on her hair. She shook her head, wrapping her arms around herself. She was delirious, she had to be. People didn't just pop up like that. She sighed. Sam did though, and she was sure she'd seen weirder. She was so confused over everything: the war, her dad, and she still wasn't used to the whole supernatural world. How much more could she handle?

message 28: by Jasmine (new)

Jasmine (jasminethetallirishflower) When Daisy was calm, Henry asked was she alright. All she did was nod in reply.
Walking back to Orianna, he picked up his umbrella and put it over the two of them. He closed the barn doors shut. He gently took her arm – her only dry limb – and led her to the house. “Come now,” he said, “we need to get you out of this rain. And maybe something to eat.” He looked at her, and noted how pale she was. “You’ve looked like you’ve seen a ghost.”

((PUN. INTENDED.))

message 29: by Jenna ⭐ (new)

Jenna ⭐ (sungkew) Orianna giggled at the ghost remark and allowed herself to be led into Henry's house, grateful to be out of the rain. She stepped inside the house and took in the interior again, this time trying to pick out all the little details she'd missed before. There were small trinkets and little intricate items she hadn't noticed when she'd been in such a rush the last time.

message 30: by Jasmine (last edited May 20, 2013 11:02AM) (new)

Jasmine (jasminethetallirishflower) Henry folded his heart-patterned umbrella and put it in the vase. It was then did he notice that a frozen baby’s breath was hanging on the rim of the vase. He carefully picked it up to look at it and set it down again.
He quickly surveyed the hallway. He had never actually seen it, since every time he did come in he didn’t have his head on, so he didn’t know what it looked like. It was quite nice. Leading Orianna to the living room, he went off to find something that looked like food.
Climbing the stairs to his bedroom, he searched around to see if there was any food. Thankfully, he found a packet of biscuits in one of his unpacked bags. He had no idea why the packet was there, but wasn’t questioning it.
He went into the living room once more and handed Orianna the packet.

message 31: by Jenna ⭐ (new)

Jenna ⭐ (sungkew) Waiting in the living room, Orianna watched as rain pitter-pattered down the window, raindrops catching up with one another. She tried to guess which of the two raindrops that were next to each other would be the first to make it to the windowsill but each time she lost. She smiled at herself for racing raindrops. Standing near the door, she watched as Henry came down the steps and handed her a packet of biscuits. They looked good enough to eat, so she tentatively opened the packet, trying not to spill them. "Thank you." She said, smiling.

message 32: by Jasmine (new)

Jasmine (jasminethetallirishflower) “It’s not the best,” he admitted, “but it’s food.”
Henry sat down in a comfortable chair and took off one of his gloves, revealing a skeleton hand. He examined it, trying to see if the drop had done damage. From what he saw, his hand was fine.

message 33: by Jenna ⭐ (new)

Jenna ⭐ (sungkew) She shook her head, "Uh-uh, it's fine." She tore a piece of one off and popped it into her mouth. After chewing and swallowing she said, laughing, "They're pretty good, actually!" She glanced down and noticed him examining his hand, "Are you alright?" She asked, concerned.

message 34: by Jasmine (new)

Jasmine (jasminethetallirishflower) He quickly put the glove back on. “Yes,” he said, “I’m fine.” Henry looked out at the window and saw the rain crash into the glass. A streak of lightning flashed, and thunder roared. Well, I guess I won’t be going to anymore of today’s classes, he thought.

Meanwhile, in the barn, Daisy was restlessly pacing. She was still slightly spooked over what she had just seen and the sound of thunder wasn’t helping matters.

message 35: by Jenna ⭐ (new)

Jenna ⭐ (sungkew) "Wow..." Orianna said, popping another piece of biscuit into her mouth. She really did think they tasted good, even if they were a little stale. "It's really raining hard out, huh?"

message 36: by Jasmine (new)

Jasmine (jasminethetallirishflower) “Mmm,” Henry took a stab at trying to be funny and said, “I’ll be cleaning Daisy’s paddock for hours tomorrow.”
There was a moment of silence. Henry turned to see if Orianna even cracked a smile. “Not funny?”

message 37: by Jenna ⭐ (new)

Jenna ⭐ (sungkew) Orianna shook her head, grinning, "No, I thought it was kind of funny." She said, "Better than my jokes, at least. I'm not funny at all! I really can only do knock-knock jokes." She shrugged.

message 38: by Simply (new)

Simply (ninjaofthekeyboard) Pnuema stood before Daisy once more, and put her hand out in a calm gesture, "Peace, be still. I mean no harm." She said softly, but did not approach get horse without it's permission.

message 39: by Jasmine (new)

Jasmine (jasminethetallirishflower) ((Sorry lads. My bed calls. I bid you all a good night!))

Henry tittered. “At least I tried. And you shouldn’t feel so bad; who needs humour anyway? It’s overrated.” Thunder clapped, and the lights started to flicker but didn’t go out. Keeping things cheery, he asked, “So tell me about yourself.”

Daisy saw the girl once more. “Oh great,” she muttered to herself, “A ghost. May I ask, why did you want me to have a heart attack?”

message 40: by Jenna ⭐ (new)

Jenna ⭐ (sungkew) Orianna smiled, "Well, what about myself?" She had a lot of things she could say: her likes, dislikes, her history, personality, her insecurities... Come to think of it, there were a lot of things no one knew about her. That fact kind of made her sad; not many people were very close to her.

message 41: by Jasmine (last edited May 19, 2013 05:13AM) (new)

Jasmine (jasminethetallirishflower) “You know,” Henry said, “your other hobbies, likes, dislikes, history, stuff like that.”
Henry didn’t really like to talk about himself, because there wasn’t much too talk about. He was homeschooled, his mother didn’t want to be a part of his life and left, he trained to be an assassin with his father, and then came to the Academy. That was as interesting as it got. He didn’t really want to bore people with his life story, so he generally never talked about it.
Plus, he liked to listen to people’s histories. It was interesting how they talked about their own life, reflecting on their mistakes and fond memories.

message 42: by Jenna ⭐ (new)

Jenna ⭐ (sungkew) "Um, well, I was born in Nevada on April seventeenth in a really small town. Everyone knew everyone and you never really had to worry about who you were talking to because they'd already known your family for years. I had a lot of friends back in Nevada; but then we moved to a big city when I turned twelve and I didn't know anyone." She sighed, "I pretty much stayed quiet and didn't approach anyone. They all whispered about me the first week, 'Who's the girl with the white hair?' or 'Who's she?' but soon enough, I was just another girl in a sea of faces. And I was okay with that; I didn't want to be noticed. But anyways, when I was thirteen, my mom told me about my dad - that he was an angel - and I nearly didn't believe her. But once a ray of light comes streaming out of your hand, it's pretty hard to deny. Three years later, I was enrolled in Supernatural Academy, and, voila, here I am." She smiled, "As for likes and dislikes: I like drawing, singing, sports, cherry pie, chocolate, and flowers. Oh! And these biscuits." Eating the last of the biscuits, Orianna said, "For dislikes: I don't like writing, sad people, kielbasa, orange soda, and rap music. I'm sure there's more I don't like, I just can't think of any at the moment."

message 43: by Jasmine (new)

Jasmine (jasminethetallirishflower) Henry tilted his head sideways, curious. “Did you become friendly with anyone in the city?”

message 44: by Jenna ⭐ (new)

Jenna ⭐ (sungkew) "Sort of, I guess." She looked at him, "I mean, a few were nice to me, but we never became really good friends. They were already situated into their groups and I never really tried to fit in with them. Looking back on it, I wish I had. It's so much nicer to have people to talk to." She smiled.

message 45: by Jasmine (new)

Jasmine (jasminethetallirishflower) Henry nodded. He understood what it felt like to be alone. He muttered to himself, “As one man once said; the loneliest people can be the kindest. The saddest people sometimes smile the brightest. The most damaged people are filled with wisdom. All because they do not wish the pain they've endured on another soul."

message 46: by Jenna ⭐ (new)

Jenna ⭐ (sungkew) Orianna smiled, heart fluttering, "That such a beautiful quote." She braided a piece of her hair. "And it's so true too... Do you have any idea who said that, Henry?"

message 47: by Jasmine (new)

Jasmine (jasminethetallirishflower) Henry had no idea who said that quote, but he remembered reading it at some point in his life and dubbed it as one of his motto’s. So he replied, “Possibly the most damaged man on earth.”

message 48: by Jenna ⭐ (new)

Jenna ⭐ (sungkew) She nodded and looked out the window once more. The rain was beginning to lighten up but it hadn't stopped yet, "I wish it'd stop raining." She said, "I already miss the sunshine."

message 49: by Jasmine (new)

Jasmine (jasminethetallirishflower) Henry looked out the window, and back at Orianna. She seemed a little... sad. To brighten things up, Henry walked to one of the shelves and pulled out an old dust box. He laid it on the table and opened it to reveal a board game with animals for player’s pieces.
He held up the old stack of cards. “It’s a game all about telling jokes,” he explained as he divided the cards up from colour; red, blue and yellow. “Every time you move your piece you pick up this card and read out the joke. Whoever laughs first has to go back a step.”
He pointed out that the red cards were knock-knock jokes, the blue were animal jokes and the yellow could be any type of joke. It was a little childish, but it was better then nothing.

message 50: by Jenna ⭐ (new)

Jenna ⭐ (sungkew) Orianna laughed, "Sounds like fun!" She smiled, "I'm sure I'll be the first one out; I laugh at everything! So, do you wanna go first? Or do you want me to?"
