The first thing that I have to say is that the prologue confuses me. I not sure if its from the past or the present.

I'm moving onto chapter 1

Oh wait. Am I supposed to know who Jonsey is or is he a new character?

OH! Now I understand why Ward was asking about urban slang and if we would find certain words and phrases offensive on Facebook. lol

The prologue was from the past, before Quinn transitioned...

When was Wrath shot? I can't remember .

Last book (I think) when they were at one of the houses of the glymera. I can't remember the name of the guy now - he was introduced in the last book - but he is a big time drug dealer. Xcor and his guys attacked the house and Wrath got shot. Quinn went after them by himself without backup, and everyone got mad at him (or something like that).

Oh yeah! I hate it when it's been so long in between bks and you have to struggle to remember .

I know. If the books weren't so stinkin long I would be tempted to go back and re-read to refresh my mind.

Ok in chapter two. I'm slowly getting back into the pace . I hope to at least get past three tonight before bed.

Ive gotten to the Fourth chapter. is it just me or does this seem wordy? maybe its just because its been a year since the last book.

I'm anxious to find out what's up with Quinn.

I thought the last couple of books have been wordy...

Quinn is definitely in self-destruction mode.

Am I reading correctly that not much time in the story has pasted?

Yeah, I think just a few days have passed - maybe not even a week - since the last book. Nobody knows that Leila is pregnant yet, and actually only Blay and Saxton know that her and Quinn were even together.

What chapter are you in? or what percent?

Chapter 8. I have the actual book this time :)

cool! I haven't gotten deep enough into the story to declare how I feel about it yet. With so many chapters in this one, I have a feeling I'm gonna have to pretty far before I can determine.

I'll post when I get to Chapter 10.

I've read through chapter 10. You can tell when Blay and Quinn finally get together it is going to be freaking awesome.

On thing I don't particularly like in the later books in the series is how Ward's slang almost seems forced - almost like she is trying just a bit too hard at it. I noticed it a few books back.

I actually had to go through some of the older books real quick fir some references . Ugh.but I'll get there. Does the pace continue to increase?

She asked a lot about slang and asked if certain phrases would offend people on her Facebook page. I think it started when the youngsters started being the focus. It may not be as much with the next book being about Wrath and Beth trying to have child

The pace hasn't really picked up yet, but it is still pretty early in the book.

I don't think any of the slang is offensive, it just seems pushed at times - not natural. I'll have to see if I can find an example.

I guess it could be that the guys are younger now - John, Quinn, and Blay - and they just tend to use more slang. I hadn't thought of that.

I probably won't have much time to read this today, but I will catch up tomorrow if you get ahead of me.

The old tongue when the band of brothers show up is more annoying than the slang.

I hadn't read any more, but I probably will tonight, so I am still at 10. nothing was revealed about his work yet.

Will at least I know I didn't miss anything. I was so confused by not remembering a lot at the beginning that I'm just now catching my stride with it.

Ok I hit ten. Sola Morte seems to bring in a new element.

I'm in chapter 13.. Still just a steady pace. No climax yet.

I'm at18%. Just woke up and started to read again.

I'm in chapter 14 and some action bout to go down. Fighting that is...I think.

Lol! I have been thinking for a while now that Trez (and IAm) needs his own book. I don't know how long she will take him in this one, but I will keep my fingers crossed :)

Yea like that came from left field. What of, you know? Some of the side plots can be a little annoying. They don't always have a place until that storyline has its own book. Therefore, some of it I'm skimming through.

Yea and sometimes they are inviting like in the books that were not my favorites. In this book I want to get to the main stories so bad.

Definitely. I knew there would be a lot of going back and forth with Qhuinn and Blay, but I want to get to it!!

I KNOW! But the parts that you are about to come to are worth the wait.

I'm not currently reading but I'm up. I'm going to read some more when I'm finished with some stuff on here.

No prob just wondering. I keep saying I'm going to stop and go to bed. That was an hour ago. Lol
