If you could travel with the Doctor, but you could only have one thing to defend yourself seeing as how the Doctor doesn't like lethal weapons, what would you carry to defend yourself?

Me: I'd carry a Colt .45 that shoots non-lethal ammunitions, or a sonic screwdriver that does work on wood along with everything else.

I always found it amusing that the sonic doesn't work on wood, I mean, over 1000 years old. You think he would've figured something out by now ;)

I can't remember which episode but the doctor uses the screwdriver on...I wanna say a rope made of vegetation and it struck me as funny because it worked then, just not later on wood. I would bring a phaser set to stun.

I would arm myself with my wits and common sense. Like the Doctor, I’m way to empathetic and hate hurting people.
