Nothing Beyond. discussion

Derrick walked into the room and immediately found his bunk then sat down on his mattress

"Here it is," Clover beamed, "this must be where you are sleeping," she smiled and sat down on one of the chairs in the middle of the room.

((I'm back Sara are you?))

((Yeah but only for a little bit))

((That's fine with me))

Derrick then lays down on the bed trying his best to hide his fatigue.

"If your tired Derrick you can sleep," she went over and laid down next to him, "I'm going to have to go home soon, my brothers will kill you for keeping me this long," she laughed leaning against the bed post.

"Its a little too late for that don't you think" Derrick says trying to make a joke

"That's not funny," she shakes her head a little angry, "why would you say that?"

"Sorry, I was just joking around" Derrick says now feeling bad for what he said

"Its fine, just no more death jokes," she hugged her knees to her chest and sighed. She just couldn't understand him sometimes. She knew that he was going through a lot, more than she could ever imagine, but it was hard for her too. Especially since she has to take care of him and watch him carefully.

Derrick's notices the look in her eye, he knows this look too much.
Derrick sits up and says, "hey you don't have to stay if you don't want to."

"I want to stay," she turns and touches his cheek sweetly, "it's just hard to be around someone whose gloomy, and I understand you have every right to be but its still hard."

Derrick takes her hand, "you shouldn't have to go through something like this. Derrick's eyes start to water. "I hate the fact that you have to."

"I don't have to, I could have left you at the hospital," she squeezed his hand lightly, "I want to help you."

"It seems to be taking a toll on you" Derrick says "I starting to feel like I cant do this to you"

"I'll be okay," she shrugs, "I'm a strong person." She pushes him playfully, "Now no more sad talk okay?" She didn't want to talk about it anymore, it just made her feel worse for him.

"I'm starting to feel like I cant do any of this anymore" Derrick whispers very faintly

"Cant do what, live?" she asked letting go of his hand.

Derrick just stares blankly into space without a single thought in his head

"Derrick," she shakes him, "you cant just stop talking like that, say something," she turned him towards her and lifted his head to look her in the eyes.

Derrick's eyes rolled to the back of his head, as he began to convulse violently falling out of his bunk.

((Is this becomming too dramatic? If so let me know and I'll think of something else.))

"Derrick?" Clover covered her mouth in shock.

((Alright I'm back, you on Sara?))

Derrick looks into her eyes and starts to cry again.

"What's wrong," she asked touching his shoulder endearingly.

"I don't know. It feels good to cry though" derrick says while placing his hand on hers

"Well then you just let it all out," she smiles watching him carefully.

Derrick than begins to sob and lays back down on the bed.

Clover stays sitting letting him have his moment to himself.

As the crying wares down to faint sniffs Derrick sits back up. "Sorry bout that. I'm a real wuss." Derrick smiles at her

"No you aren't, you're just emotional, that isn't so bad," she says touching his hand.

"So what do we do now?" Derrick asks hoping she has an idea

"I don't know, you probably need to go meet all of the people in your circle, and other stuff like that," she shrugged not really knowing what to do.

"No one else is here." Derrick replies feeling anxiety

"Well," she yawns, "I am pretty tired, did you want to go to bed?"

"As long as you sleep here, we don't have to share a bed but I still don't think I can be alone yet" Derrick replies

"Okay, but I don't know if they'll let me sleep here, maybe you could come over to my house and sleep there?" she offered.

"If you think its okay ill go." Derrick replied

"It should be okay," Clover smiled getting off of the bed and standing up, "we have a spare bed."

Derrick smiled, "Well lets go" Derrick stood up and startles out the door but stopped and held out his hand. "Lead the way" Derrick said

"Sure thing," she took his hand and smiled stepping out of the room and down the stairs.

Derrick asks, "where is your house Clove?"

"Its hard to explain," she looks at him, "a lot of windy roads."
