Vee walks into the study carrying her guitar case, it was deserted, no one seemed to set a foot in all the books, but what no one knows is that she's a book worm, she'll probably be over all the book cases here in a matter of a year. But she won't be caught dead with a book or the guitar in her hand. She closed the door and locked it in case someone decided to stroll in.

Vee sat on the floor and got her guitar out of its case, she started pulling on the strings, a tune that she found in some sheet music her mom left with the guitar. The guitar was her mom, which she was left on in front of an orphanage as a baby. She usually played music, no love songs, no painful tunes, just random beautiful music. But the song Jax was playing is stuck in her head and her fingers pulled the chords accordingly. She stopped mid tune and put away her guitar. This was getting out of control, so she decided to hide the guitar and get engrossed in a book instead.

Jaxon opened the door to find that it is locked from the inside. He tried again and it wouldn't budge so he knocked. "Whoever is in there. Open the door or I'll kick it open," he called in. He was still pissed at Vee and Hunter who was probably doing the horizontal dance in the bedroom. He knocked again and this time he punched the door, making a hole the size of a fist on it. "Open it or I'll make a second hole!" he shouted.

"Take your time busting the door down hole by hole I'm not in a hurry" She shouted back. She got to her feet and returned the book on the shelf, made sure her guitar was still hidden then sat on a chair casting some light spells for the sake of doing something. She'll have to lock herself up in Hunter's room from now on.

"In the count of 5," he said as he took a step back, ready to kick the door open. "5..4..3..2..1," he kicked the door open with a bang. Wood splintering everywhere as the lock gave in and he looked up to see whoever taunted him to doing this. "You know you piece of shit..." he trailed off as he saw the cause of his anger. He leaned against one of the bookshelves and he smugly asked, "How's Hunter doing?"

"Better than you would ever be doing" She said not hesitating for a second wearing her slutty face. "You waste too much potential busting stuff down" Still not getting out of her chair, she walked out the last time, she's not giving him the satisfaction this time.

He smiled, "Really? He's not worried that you're being a whore?" he asked in a pleasant tone. He crossed his arms and laughed, "Oh right, Hunter is just one of your toys. Good thing I didn't fell to your slutty hands." He felt so angry in his life that he wanted to shake her until she understood that he was not doing this to hurt her but to protect himself.

"Ouch" pressing her palm on her heart. "This is not a way to talk to a lady, where have your manners gone my friend?" She looked at him unaffected, calling her a whore and a slut did actually hurt her, but this os what he want's she's not giving him this either knowing that he hurt her. "Hunter won't be so happy to hear about this you know?"

He wanted to kiss that cold look off her face, he really wanted to but it would just signify that he is weak so he stayed put. "This is between you and me, Vee. If you're so scared you're welcome to go," he motioned to the door. "And FYI you're not a lady." He laughed as he saw a crack in her face. "You're going to cry?" he taunted.

"You're right. I'm not a lady" she got of her chair approaching him. When she was close enough she pointed a finger to his chest "and FYI you don't scare me" she might be hurt, and she know's she's not a lady, but she was very well conscious of the effect she has on men. She will use this advantage to the last drop. He's playing her game, taunting and teasing but she knew better, they'll both collapse in the end, it's a matter of who stands longer.

He scoffed at her, "Let's see." He just smiled as he closed in on her. He tangled his finger in her hair and pulled her close. "You know, Vee. I like you, you have the guts of what I like in a woman but I don't care about the men you screw but know this is that I'm holding myself back from kissing you." He slipped his other hand around her waist. He didn't really know what he was doing but being this close to her was making his control thinner and thinner.

"Be careful, don't get too lost in the moment. We both know you'll regret it later" She breathed him in, he has the same effect on her that she does him. She waited for him to pull away for the third time in a row. "Plus, I believe you do care about who I screw" her fingers lingering on his chest.

"I don't care unless it's me," he whispered as he took her mouth and he knew he wasn't supposed to do it. But her body was only centimeters away from his. Her eyes sparkled like the stars outside. His fingers squeezed her waist and he kissed her with what he was feeling. Softly at first, only for a second, but it felt like someone had lit fireworks in his stomach. Slowly he became more brave and opened he mouth before finishing the moment with a series of small kisses.

Her hands moved up his chest to his hair. He was kissing her like she has been never kissed before. She didn't try to restrain herself and didn't care what happens next. She tangled her fingers in his messy hair as she opened her mouth kissing him with her all. She was almost breathless as they ended this intense moment. "Okay" she breathes heavily.

"Okay," he answered back as he caressed her cheeks with his thumbs. "What I said about you being a whore and a slut is not true, I know that but I don't want to see you with Hunter, kissing or anything close to that." He said jealously. But you know what? I'm really easy because you hooked me." He smiled as the anger inside him calmed.

"Jax" she looked him in the eyes amused "Hunter, is my best friend. We hooked up once a year ago and we were both drunk, that's it" she smiled "we don't kiss or anything close to it" suddenly it dawned on her she was getting herself into a relationship, she had her casual only rule. She wanted to call Shale and tell her all about it, but she didn't want to broadcast it. "We're not telling everyone are we?" She asked nervously not wanting to ruin the moment.

His emotions shut down as if it never happened. He let her go and stepped back. "So you're ashamed of being with me?" he asked in a quiet tone. He looked down, afraid that she will see hurt in his eyes. "Are you so ashamed of me that we need to keep it a secret?" he asked and this time he promised himself to never open his heart to her again. "It's okay though since you're the first girl I have the pleasure of dating so don't worry about it." He told her as he left her there in the study.

"Jax wait!" She called after him scared that this was the end of it, or worse she might'v hurt him. She didn't know what to say either, she liked him very much, but that was obvious. Of course she wasn't ashamed of him, she's simply scared. "Don't just leave like this" she said weakly, hoping he'd let her explain or at least tell him that this wasn't the case!

He stopped and didn't turned around, "What do you want, Vee? You told me all that you needed to so just let me go. I'm sorry you have to kiss me but I don't regret it." He told her as he turned his head to the side. He felt so defeated that he sighed, "I'm going to the field so please let me go."

"No, this is ridiculous!" She walked towards him leaving a little gap between them. "I didn't say anything of what I needed to. You're just looking for someway to prove that this was a mistake. It wasn't." Her temper was getting the best of her. "I'm not going to stop you if you want to leave. We both need to think about this, but don't put all of the blame on me"

He turned to look at her with contempt, "I don't blame anything on anyone. This was not a mistake and I would like to have a relationship with you but I can't take it when the girl I'm dating is ashamed of me!" He shouted as the anger inside of him sparked to life. "And I'm not trying to prove anything because what you just said proves it all," with that last word he left for good.

(( Hunter is in the forest ))

Vee didn't dare move, she felt empty and speechless. He was being stubborn and stupid, she wasn't ashamed of him, she just knows he'll leave her when he's bored or can't handle her anymore just like her parents did. She collapsed on an arm chair and stared into the air. She didn't cry, not even as a baby and this wasn't any different. It's better this way she told herself, you should be glad you have the chance to run before things got serious. But she couldn't shake the feeling that she lost something even if she never had it.

Jax went back to the study, intent on finding Vee and he saw her there. He stopped at the door where it hung on its hinges. "Vee?" he asked gently as he took a step towards her. He noticed that she was looking at nothing, staring unseeingly at the air. "Vee?" he asked again with worry in his tone.

"Go away Jax" she replied still not looking at him and staring into nothing. This was how she cries. She didn't have any fight left in her today, she needed to eat and sleep and it was getting dark anyway. Not shifting one inch "Just go away" she repeated.

He approached her slowly and he laid a hand to her shoulder, "I'm sorry for being such an asshole. I guess I'm getting confused with how a relationship works and since this is a first for me I don't know what to do. I talked to Hunter by the way and I realized I was doing all things shit to you," he knew he was babbling but he was really nervous.

She snorts "You think I've had my fair share in boyfriends?" Turning her head now looking at him. "I don't do relationships for a reason Jax, I have abandonment issues and i'm not embarrassed, but you need to understand why asked you for us, if there ever an us be kept a secret" she sighed "I'm not ashamed of you okay? I'm as confused by this as you" she got up of her seat this was too dramatic for her taste. "And now I'm hungry and sleepy thanks to you. Let's order pizza or something"

He nodded and smiled, "Let's go then." He sighed in relief as the fight ended, he thought. "Where do you want to go?" he asked even though this was not the end of it that they will talk of their 'relationship' but he was happy that he could hang out with Vee without the fighting and the insults. "I like you, Vee and I accepte that fact because it is inevitable," he whispered in her ear in a serious tone.

Vee smirked mischievously "that's sad I'm just trying to get into your pants" she was back to her old teasing self but without the bitterness. "I like you too, but you still owe me a real date" She walked down the steps, it was dusk already so she led him towards the field. She wanted to hold his hand and see how it feels but she decided to wait till they're outside.

"Well I'm happy that it's my pants that you want to get in, not anyone else," he teased back. He followed her down the steps, "And I do intend to take you out on a real date." He added as he took her by her shoulders and he pulled her back against to his front. "Good thing you like me too then," he whispered as he breathe in her wonderful scent.

She smiled to herself, she was glad they were getting along. She was so happy it took all of her will power to not turn around and kiss him. She was dying to talk to Shale since she was her only girl friend, she wondered how she'll react. As they got out the fresh air brushed the hair off the back of her neck.

(( To the Field ))

Vee walked to her favorite armchair and collapsed on it. "What's wrong Shale? You're acting extremely awkward" she asked her eyes looking for that guitar that luckily wasn't visible.

"What about me and Hunter?" She asked confused. This didn't make any sense "I don't understand"

"Oh" it dawned on her what Hunter meant.
Why Shale wanted to talk to her. "Oh that's just great" she snapped "It has to be drama and shit! It's not like I stopped talking to him, but it's my first fucking day with Jax. Why didn't he say anything this morning when we were talking?" she calmed a little as she blew off some of her steam. "Why does he always have to ignore things rather than just spitting it out" she mumbled. "What did he say exactly Shale?"

Vee couldn't help but snort "This is so dramatic even for Hunter! I was just with him in the morning!" She shook her head. "Okay, he apparently is scared for me. Not everyone os going to do what he did. Plus we moved passed it! It was nothing, I'm not all that hurt" she was hurt for a long time, but now it's ancient history.

Vee sighed, she didn't like to talk about it, it's just annoys her. Adjusting her position "okay then, when i said I slept with Hunter once last year, that was kind of half the truth" she shrugged. "On my 17th birthday, me and Hunter went out to a bar to celebrate, i drank to much as usual. Long story short, we lost our virginity to each other. Problem was i blacked out, woke up and blank, didn't remember a thing. It was two weeks later that I realize i'm no longer a Virgin. Two weeks! He didn't mention it didn't hint, nothing. I just eventually remembered" remembering how angry she was with him, not because he was her first, that was expected but not discovering you're no longer a virgin 2 weeks later just isn't normal.

Vee chuckled "Oh there's more. After we fought blah blah we hooked up again, this time I did remember but we never talked about it. Not up till now was the subject open for discussion we just know it happened and that's it. We weren't even drunk that night, he didn't talk to me three weeks after that." She shook he head remembering waking up realizing what happen and Hunter acted like it never did and not talking to her "I told you it's stupid and ancient history but he thinks he scarred me or something" he actually helped making her trust issues worse.

"Oh my god dude, why are we even talking about this? It's stupid. We were stupid. I'm happy now, period" she said ending the discussion. "And here I thought you came for some gossip. You're the worst girl friend in the history of girl friends" crossing her arms jokingly. She didn't let the conversation affect her mood. It was ridiculous talking about this over a year later.

"Oh no, forget about it. You're not getting any from me!" shaking her head stubbornly "How are things with Brayden?" She's not going to talk about Jax. Shale already knows so it's pointless.

"Okay then, let's join the party outside" she hopped of her chair. She wanted to talk to her boys before going to bed. She put her hair back in a ponytail while starting out the room and down the stairs.

Hunter was going to open the door but he found it unhinged and broken. "What the hell!! I swear I'm kicking his ass till it turns blue and glows in the dark!" He said with a snarl, this will cost them extra money in next months payment. "Well, this was the study. I'm guessing Jax and Vee were here" oh, this sounded really awkward, but he played dumb.

Lea was so shocked that Jax have done so much damage, this was not him at all but of course with Vee by his side it would seem that he did have emotions. She laid a hand on Hunter's arm, "Don't worry about it. I can fix something up to fix all of this." She said with a smile.

"No no it's fine, we'll figure it out. Even if I will make him rebuilt it splinter by splinter" he said scratching the back of his neck. Her hand on his shoulder made him calm down, though he didn't get that angry anyway. "Have a seat. How did you and Jax became friends in the first place" he asked curious, they seem so different unlike him and Vee they're exactly the same. Almost.

Lea sat one of the plush chairs and she answered him with honesty, "He saved me. He was there when I was about to..." She trailed of as she thought of that time when she was just coming home from her part time job when a stranger grabbed her suddenly from behind and he said things that made her wince even now. "Jax saved me from being raped." She said in a toneless voice, looking down.

Hunter didn't see that coming. After opening his mouth to speak a couple of times with no words coming out "I'm very sorry, I didn't.. I'm sorry" He said as he stood in front of her "maybe I can forgive him for tearing our door down after all" trying to lighten the mood. He was really angry on the inside, how can anyone give themselves the right to.. He shook his head "he is a hero after all"

Lea laughed instantly letting her painful memories fade away back into the void. She sighed as she looked around and when she saw the piano, she squealed. She stood up and went to it like a child at a candy store. She caressed the white keys and she asked Hunter, "Do you know how to play?"

"Do I look like I know how to play the piano?" He said making a face, it's stunning how her mood can change in seconds and a bit scary. How can anyone get excited about a piano is beyond him, but he followed her anyway waiting for her to play something.
