I had read Angelology by Danielle Trussoni two years ago and loved it. I was really hoping she would write more but I had given up hope. Except I just found out that she has finally written the sequel Angelopolis. So I guess she really isn't a One-Hit Wonder. But that is the closest I get since I tend to lean towards series.
Okay, so I just found out the author I THOUGHT was a one-hit wonder wasn't at all! Sylvia Cassedy wrote Behind The Attic Wall which is one of my all-time favorite books. Somehow I got it in my head that she had never written anything after that. (I have no idea how I got this misinformation, but I never did anything to check on it until I posted this!) She actually wrote M.E. and Morton and Lucie Babbidge's House but passed away before writing anything else. How I had her as a one-hit wonder, I'll never know! Glad I checked though, because that's two more I can read now. :)
I can't think of a one-hiter...but Steve Kluger was once upon a time. The Last Days of Summer is one of my all-time favs, one that I would share with anyone who would listen to me. Then he wrote a couple of other things.
This has been a long time, but I remember when I was younger, reading a book called Murder on the Orient Express and wishing the author would write more, but I don't think she ever did. What?? Every message board needs trolls. :D
Call It Sleep by Henry Roth - an absolutely beautifully written book. He may have written something much later in his life but this is the one to read.

You're kidding, right? (grinning :) You do know Agatha Christie wrote Murder on the Orient Express? She wrote more than 30 books with the Hercule Poirot character...
Wrote more than 66 novels and many short story collections...
