Once again, we'll just have to wait and see.

But I have no idea what the symbol in question might be...A funky looking blade with a light on top of it so you know where to stick it when it's dark? No clue.
I like the UK cover a bit more, though. It's not as "ambiguous". Judge for yourself...
US

I never liked UK covers before, this one's a first.

Um, "A funky looking blade with a light on top of it so you know where to stick it when it's dark?"
Wow, the dirty mind just ran away with me on that one.
Ahem. I can't see the other symbols from my mob, but the one here looks like a stylized bird's head to me. It reminds me, if you've ever seen the movie, of the masks they wear at the ball in the movie Labyrinth.
Also, the two sides, toward the top, look like people facing opposite directions and reaching outward. With the whole duality thing, it reminds me of the Werehunters. Two races from a single source, destined to always pull apart from one another. But that's interpreting it with the book's content in mind. It IS supposed to expand on the dangers the Weres are facing as introduced in Fury's story.
To interpret it as Jaden? Nope. Can't do it!
It's weird to see it...I thought the symbols were going to just be used for the last book of each arc.
Isn't there faded lettering on the cover, too?

Alathea! Your funky looking blade sounds... very nice, haha! I can only imagine the DH men sleeping with their women on one side with this blade next to them on their bed side table ready for whatever is to come that they might need a blade with a lightbulb. :D
I took a better look at the symbol and the more I stared it, the more I began to think it looked like a wolfs head. The triangles being the eyes, the two pointy things above that the ears. Oh who knows. It could possibly be a mixed tribal like image of what Fang and Aimee's children will look like. By any chance, is it possible for them to have children? I can already picture their children hitting maturity and some of them being bears, some of them being wolves, and then some that are bolves, haha! Imagine a story with the possibilty of that!

Yes, that Kenyon is full of surprises. Maybe I shall Twit her and ask!

So, it's Fang's mating mark. I guess we can look forward to him definitely getting some then since he hasn't had the mark up to now!
Werehunter-related...at least we were on the right track!

Perhaps there are pups and cubs in the future. :)

Fang's mating mark?!?! OMG!!! thats so cool! mental note: *read the book Ilse... before you read on* images of possible "bolves" are just running amok in my mind!
Wow, the dirty mind just..."

Wren is an example of cross-species reproduction, but both his parents were cats, so maybe that's why he could turn into both.

He was a White tiger and a snow leopard, I believe. And he was HOT! The quiet mysterious ones always get me. My heart will be broken if Aimee doesn't get her Fang.

Michelle, what's his sons name? I think it was like Tristan, Tryce or something around the lines of that. I'm excited to learn more about them.

And we know Acheron is never wrong!

Trace is definitely an interesting name.. but then so is Vane, Fang lol etc..

Haha, Lauren, I know what my life was like before I started reading about the Dark-Hunters... It was filled with Black Dagger Brotherhood warriors. ;)
I really do hate excerpts. They end just when things start getting good. Lol.

yeah I read all the BDB books too .... waiting for the next one on that too. my calender is all marked up with the next books i need. my husband just laughs at me.

Chasidy::LA is a really good book::after LA it's Lover Mine which is John and Xhexs book::but you'll need to read LA b/c the story line for J and X is set up in there::

re the BDB::has/is anyone else reading her jessica bird books::i've read 4 of them::love::love:::loved them::if yoo're reading them too let me know::

I've got a friend that reads straight romance in addition to PNR and I'm trying to convince her to buy the Jessica Bird titles for me. Of course, I did just get a library card, I should see if my local branch has any.

Chasidy::the men in her contemporary romances are imho human versions of the brothers::they all have a weakness and are all *hot* men::i read them out of order because i couldn't wait for them all to get here::but::in the same way that each BDB book introduces the next H/H so do these::so if you want them to flow then i would sugest you start with:: An unforgettable Lady::An irresistable batchelor::beauty and the black sheep::his comfort and joy::from the first kiss::a man in a milloion (which is my favourite should i have to choose one b/c the heroe is just so god damn gorgeous:)::and the billionaire next door (which i'm trying to get on amazon but they're temp sold out)::there are 2 other books Leeping hearts and (can't remember title)but i can only get these in the Uk if i'm prepared to pay £44.00 each for them and i have seen a copy on sale second hand for £111.00::yikes!!! as you can probably guess i love them...i wish she'd write more as there are characters that appear in these books that are crying out for their story to be told::i've even thought that as the stories are set in the Adirondacks that maybe just maybe she'll mention some of the characters in *Covert*::butch oneil gets a mention in The Billionaire next Door::so maybe she will::i'd love for someone else to read these so we can get a discussion going ::come on gals and guys i can't be only one whose fallen in love with Nate::jack ::Alex and Spike::

A small advice regarding those hard to find titles, Leaping Hearts and Heart of Gold. Try Biblio or Alibris, though Biblio offers a little lover shipping rates for Europe.

thanks for the info::off to check those now::

every one excited... I am!"
Chasidy-
There's a little more to the Vane drama and family in the short story "Shadow of the Moon" in Dead after Dark book.

Main subject is Vane's brother Fury.
It's a good short, but I wish there was a whole book devoted to Fury and family.
