YES! :D although as much as I love Druet I like Renny I think more. ;)
Nicole, I like that too through the series. ^_^
ok lets see if I can do this-
1-Falconer
2-Nathaniel
3-Renny
5-Talon (and Bracy- they're most awesome together, but I prefer Talon ;))
6-Druet
7-Blunt
8-Alice
9-Trenton
10-Leyla
11-Brigit
...and all the rest ;) lol

and I agree - Talon and Bracy seem to go together like peas in a pod...It's hard to think of them separately!

like Trunt and Ruttley.....

course I added folks from books 2 and 3 to my list...even though the subject is the Heart...oh well ;)

Just kidding! Falconer is one of top ones...I also loved Trenton - I would love to see a novella about Trenton being with his real family and how he's struggling with his past and trying to settle down to a new life...and Falconer could come back to encourage him, since they had such a terrific bond in book 2.
I also liked Epic and Lathan from Burdney.
Luke, Christopher and Lord Bradley from Hebbros.
Actually one character that really grabbed me is Agatha (see my review for Burdney on Goodreads)....she just really, really stuck with me. I pitied her and wanted to see her free of the darkness that she had placed on herself. Plus, I love arcs between sisters. I really, really hope that Nicole Sager writes more about Agatha in Cleftlocke.

I never felt any draw towards Agatha but I also loved all the Hebbros characters!

Yeah, the Hebbros characters were great - that scene where Guy sacrificed himself - I really didn't think Guy had it in him - that was a huge surprise and a beautiful moment.
Bradley's whole arc was quite interesting too, he was so isolated and alone that he built up walls around himself to the point where he couldn't accept the truth - I was so happy when he finally did.

Yeah, didn't expect that, although it was really the only way to make up for what he did. Yes, I was glad too! Bradley was amusing to me. Most banter in books annoys me as I feel it is super hard to do well but he was the perfect mix of sarcasm and silly sayings.

Yup - agree completely, it is very hard to make banter sound natural and I have read attempts to do it that made me want to rake my fingernails the nearest available surface.
I really, really loved the Fate of Arcrea - but if I had to chose I think I like Nicole's Companions Novels best - the feeling of setting is so intense, you feel like you could smell Hebbros and Burdney. The minute I opened those two books - whoosh - I was away.

Totally! I couldn't agree more! I too like the Companions of Arcrea better than the original series, I feel like Nicole's writing has gotten better and better since the beginning. My favorite of the original series is The Isle of Arcrea (is that because it is sort of Falconer's book? perhaps) love the characters in that one. So sweet!

I am so glad! I am so excited for the next Companions of Arcrea book! If you ever want a BETA reader or advanced reviewer let me know! I would love to do something like that!

Have you read The Makilien Trilogy or The Ilyon Chronicles? They are magnificent as well! TMT was what inspired me to be a writer, it was one of my first tastes of Fantasy and it won my heart!

I'm working to become a published author too - here's to us, Gabriellyn! It helps to be surrounded by inspiring books like Nicole's and Tricia's, doesn't it? I read them and think...."Hey maybe I finally could too..."

If I ever own a duck....

You should read them! Jaye L. Knight/Molly Evangeline is one of my top favorite writers!

Yes, it is encouraging, plus when reading a ton of Fantasy it helps me to know what I like to see in a Fantasy book and what I don't like to see in a Fantasy book.
Have you read any of K. M. Weiland's blog? https://www.helpingwritersbecomeautho...
She has taught me the most about writing of anyone and I have only been following her blog a couple of months. It is GOLD.

My sister loves K.M. Weiland and her blog and I am going to start looking at - thanks!
There's a bunch of self published authoress and readers blogs that I want to start following....now if only we had 48 hour days instead of a measly 12...if only we didn't have to sleep!
Then we could read more books like The Arcrean Chronicles! Wahoo!

Hah! Totally! It's honestly a little overwhelming to want to read K. M. Weiland's blog. There is sooo much content!!! She did an awesome series on the writing in Marvel movies. A lot of what she says is what I felt before but didn't know how to say.
Yes! I have so many books I want to read, but there is this annoying thing you have to do first...buy them! And unfortunately my wallet is incapable of that strain!

Haha! I try to set aside a little 'petty cash' for books every month. A book a month keeps me sane...and my bookshelves bursting.
Thank you so much for friending me! Though, I guess this conversation is getting a little off topic from Arcrea!

Hey Gabriellyn - you'll have to forgive me if I cut off the conversation (I'm new to this social media stuff and have no clue what Im doing!) I just wasn't sure if we should stick to topic or whether we could talk about other subjects - maybe somebody could tell me if that's okay? Sorry!
