Jason is not scared of heights though!

I think it's just a phobia, not something she can control or fight. I can tell you I'm scared of heights too, and it doesn't matter if i'm safe or not, I always panic when i'm on a high place.

I think Rick made her like that mostly for the irony...

Yeah, I agree. There's no "reason" per say, it is just a phobia, a fear of hers.

I agree that Riordan may have put it there for the irony; it would be like a son of Poseidon being afraid of water.

Yeah, I'm so scared of heights escalators would make me cry and I never had a reason. XD

I'd love to see a Demeter kid that hates the outdoors!

Piper is ironic too, she's an Aphrodite with no interest in beauty.

I know. I love Rick's ironic characters though. Although, I admittedly like Thalia a lot better than Piper.

i think it's because she saw Jason fall off a cliff as a baby and then he died, so she's just uneasy when it comes to heights because sdhe saw her brother fall off a cliff and 'die'

I did for ages and ages...then I decided to take a break because I knew whatever little thing was coming next.
