Anyone know anything about this author or this series of books. I think I have one of the books unread, but would like to know if it's worth starting out at the beginning.

Col: I liked Arthur Lyons' "Jacob Asch" series back in the late '70s-early '80s when I read the 1st 4-5 books. They don't stick out in my mind but I do recall liking them very much.
Here's a link to one of my favorite websites (Thrilling Detective) where they discuss "Jacob Asch": http://www.thrillingdetective.com/asc...
The article refreshed my memory of a movie that was made based on one of the "Jacob Asch" novels with favorite bad-guy character actor Eric Roberts as "Asch".
I don't think I'd feel much like going back and re-reading them but only because there's too much new stuff to keep up with plus the great old stuff by guys like Brewer, Rabe, D. J. Marlowe, Ed Lacy, et al that I REALLY NEED to read.
Cheers guys, I might give him a go
