Bridget Jones' Diary is a fun read is its own right, but is also a modern take on the P&P story. For those a little slow to catch on to that, Helen Fielding even named the main male character Mark Darcy, and has several references to the P&P TV miniseries.

As many of us know, Jane Austen and her works have directly inspired many books, both fiction and non-fiction. For example, non-fiction book The Jane Austen Cookbook features recipes enjoyed by Austen herself and those depicted in her literature. Then there is Pride and Prejudice and Zombies "an expanded version of the beloved Jane Austen novel featuring all-new scenes of bone-crunching zombie mayhem."
There are many, many others. Let's brainstorm the myriad of books inspired by her works with a small description.
