Sawyer raced into the hedge maze, her finger's laced in Rye's. "Okay," She said, pausing at the entrance to the evergreen maze that seemed to go on forever into the distance, "So one of us runs in and finds a place to hide - a corridor or dead end or whatever - and then the other person runs in to find them. Oh! And the person has... fifty-five seconds to hide! Ready?" She asked, excited beyond belief.
"You're hiding?" Rye asked holding her hand with his right hand while placing a strand of hair behind her ear.
Rye nodded. "I can live with that!" he sighed and shrugged before putting his hands over his eyes counting. "1! ...2...."
Sawyer fled into the hedge maze, looking left and right for a place to hide. She raced deep into the maze and soon found a little gazebo that looked like a perfect place to hide. Hearing Rye reach fifty-five, she ran into the gazebo and hid behind the stone bench in the middle.
Rye started to jog everywhere following the left path but then "Woah" and nearly smashes into a dead end hedge. he turned away taking the right turn and kept going. After...a while..he found the gazebo. Seeing it was sort of empty, he slowly started to edge away.
Sawyer pursed her lips, trying to remain as quiet as possible. Suddenly, glancing down at her legs, she spotted a spider about to crawl onto her legs. She shook her head and clenched her teeth, willing herself to be quiet. But when the spider was just an inch from her leg, she bounded up from her hiding spot and ran back out into the hedge maze, hiding behind Rye. "Sp-" she stuttered, "Sp-Spider!"
Rye laughed. "Spider? Where?" he asked making his hands mock a spider. "Creepy crawlie" he teased
She hit him playfully on the arm, "Stop it! Spiders are terrifying!" She laughed a little but was still kind of shaken up. Spiders were the one thing she was truly scared of.
Rye laughed. Girls...all afraid of spiders. "Be jealous of spiders! They have more legs than you!" he joked.
"That's why they're creepy!" She insisted, "Too many legs, and they're hairy and... Agh! I don't like them at all."
"Ah so you are jealous!Daddy long legs have skinny long legs...lots of them!" he teased. "How come you only have too legs? Their hair is lovely and furry...jealous they have a moustache?"
"Ha! Me jealous? Nuh-uh!" She shivers, a really exaggerated movement, "You have to be scared of something too, right?"
"Maybe..." he grunted darkly. He didnt know what he was scared of but he was scared of...something...
"Oh, really?" She smiled and skipped backwards, trying to discreetly make her way back into the twisting halls of the hedge maze. "Let me try and guess... Are you afraid of... Fish?" Sawyer giggled.
"Fish? Nope I'll ride a shark" he shrugged amused. She was going to guess what he was scared of? He wished her luck.
"Um..." She tried to think of things most people were afraid of. Pausing, she leaned against a freshly trimmed, evergreen hedge, "The dark?" She shook her head: that probably wasn't it.
Rye laughed at that. "The dark? Of course!" he chuckled sarcastically. "Nope...I wish you luck in guessing!" he sighed before crossing his arms and looking down.
Sawyer absentmindedly leaned her entire body weight on the hedge, not realizing just how unstable it was, and ended up falling into it. She bolted upright, picking a leaf out of her curly hair. "Um... I have no idea. Can't you give me a hint?" She asked. "Or do you not want to talk about it?"
Rye laughed at her falling into the hedge and was about to go help her up but realised she was managing well herself. He gently pulled another leaf out of her hair softly laughing "Careful." He then thought for a moment frowning. Promptly after, he sighed "I don't know what I'm afraid of mostly..."
"Thanks." Sawyer said, "I'm a little clumsy today." She paused then said, "So are you afraid of the unknown or just afraid of things you don't know about yet?"
Rye laughed helplessly. "Oh yes...oh sure I'm afraid of the spooooky 'Unknown'" he joked sarcastically making an eerie sound with the 'spooky'. "No, Sawyer, I do not know what I'm afraid of" he sighed.
She shrugged, "Meh, just a suggestion. Some people are afraid of the unknown you know; they're scared of not knowing what's going to happen to them and their loved ones." She said, but then realized how somber she was acting again and switched the subject, "Hey, you want me to count now?"
Rye sighed"I'm not great at hiding but...okay" He gently pushed her to somewhere to count. He jogged away to find somewhere to hide.
Rye found a place where there was a round hedge like a pillar and rushed to behind it. He waited then lost patience when she was at 40 and bellowed "Ready! You can stop counring!" He had shouted metres away from his hiding place so he doesnt give ahint about where he was going to hide. He then rushed back to behind the pillar.
Sawyer tried to pinpoint Rye's location by listening to his voice, but he was so far into the maze, it was like trying to find a needle in a haystack. "Found you!" She shouted, peaking around a corner. Nothing. "Darn..." She said and continued looking.
{So sorry! forgot!}
Rye stiffled a laugh hiding behing the pillar. He had a plan. If she looks around the pillar, he'll simply walk around it remaining hidden

((It's okay :) ))Sawyer, reaching the around the place where Rye had called out, was somewhat stumped about where he could be. She kept walking though and came upon a large hedge-like pillar. She smiled: he had to be there! She crept up, preparing to peek her head around the shrubbery.
Rye stayed as quiet as a mouse waiting for Sawyee to make her move around the pole. He stiffled a chuckle still waiting.
((So so sorry! Stupid iPod, not giving me notifications X( ))Sawyer ran around the pole, searching for Rye. She hoped she'd find him soon; As much as she liked Hide and Go seek, finding the other person was always somewhat of a difficulty.
Rye ran around the pole with her and suddenly, without realising, he didnt noticr her stop and bumped into her. He yelled a little then from behind, gave her an awkward hug to keep her steady.
At the last second, Sawyer heard him yell and she whipped around. Rye's arms wrapped around her and she stood still, a small yelp barely escaping from her lips.
"I guess you found me!" he laughed in a sing song voice. He didn't know why but kept his arms around her. After a while, he kissed her.
Sawyer smiled against his lips and then kissed him back. She didn't think she could ever tire of kissing him; something about it just felt so right to her. She thought that maybe she was stupid for thinking that since they'd only just met the other day, but she knew that for her it was true. She did feel like she liked him. A lot.
Rye kept kissing her seeping in his tongue, exploring her mouth with thoughts swarming around in his head. I love her. Stupid, you met her a day ago. Love at first sight. No, Stupid, you know there's no such thing! There are possibilities! And they might lead you to false belief and heart breaking. I'm falling for her. Don't be! Well I am! He tried to make his mind only focus on the delicious kiss. After...some time, he reluctantly stopped looking down at her, sexy sidefringe covering almost half his right eye. "Man...I think I'm falling for you" he murmured.
Sawyer giggled, giddy with the idea of being in love after a day, "I think I'm falling for you too." She wrapper her arms around his shoulder, standing on tiptoe to put her forehead against his, "Is that stupid?" She asked, wondering how he felt.
Rye thought for a moment closing his eyes. After a minute he chuckled "Nope! Perfectly natural!" He wrapped his arms tightly around her waist pressing her body to his so the top of her back was in an arch as he was touching foreheads with him.
"That's good." Sawyer said, taking one of her hands and sweeping away the fringe that covered his eye. He looked different with his hair like that; not bad though. He just looked... Different. "Has anyone ever told you you have nice eyes, Rye?"
"Not really...no...my fringe covers most of one eye and they can't say 'eyes' and saying 'Your one eye is nice' is just...awkward..." he sighed, "Has anyone told you that you are beautiful?"
"Well, you do have nice eyes." She told him. Sawyer shook her head, "Nope, never." She paused, "Well, I guess if you count my grandmama, but other than that, no."
"Thanks" Rye laughed then whispered lowly "Then count me in saying that you're beautiful!" He tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear.
She smiled, "Thank you then. That's very sweet of you." Eden looked him in the eyes again. His eyes really were stunning. "I love you, Rye." And she leaned forward and kissed him again.
Rye was startled as she kissed him again. He kissed her greedily and in the middle of the kiss, he quickly muttered "I love you too!" and kissed her until he had pushed her too far into a bush again.
"Well at least it isn't thorny!" he laughed then said "You know...I can stay here for a while!" He was lying over her on the bush.
