A Welcome to New Members!
Hi all you collegiate booknerds. I'm right there with you. Name's Matt, 26, late to school student. Pleasure to make your acquaintances and other such formalities.
That was a great introduction Matthew. Nice and succinct. I'm Lori, the other moderator. Welcome to the group.
Hi Amy! Welcome to the group! Check out this thread and you can see what everyone is reading right now. :)
Hello Jamie, Amy & everyone in the board. I am a newbie in this group too. I hope to get to know everyone. This group seems sweet and cool. =)~
Hi! I'm Kathryn. I'm new to the group. I'm a sophmore in highschool taking college classes, so its quite hectic.
Hello Everyone! My name is Lydia and I'm excited to be apart this group. I hope to get know everyone and discuss great books. :-)
Hey everyone I'm new :)I'm a junior in college trying to find time to read. This year has been so hectic it's been difficult.
Thought this group would be fun!
Heyyy...I'm Mallory and obviously new. I'm currently in University of Ancient History, working my way through a way too long "Want To Read" list...lol
Good to meet you all! I'm Arianna, and I'm trying to revive the passion for reading I had when I was a little girl. I read a lot about sexuality- fiction and non fiction, but I would be interested in reading about Chinese culture, women's issues, maybe some modern poetry, and anything that is well-written and will make me think. I represent Ohio!
Hello, I'm Teresa. Yeah I call myself Fenixbird Sands, you might say. Well, that's because I am trying to write.College courses? I am enrolled in education classes & SLP210 which covers the anatomy of speech relevant of course to speech disorders. I attend my local Maricopa County Community College and am in my first ever online course.

Hi, I'm new! My name's Tracy, but my preferred nickname is Trai (pronounced like Tray; some people have problems with that...). I'm a freshman in college and I'm an English major. I love to read (obviously!) and I try to read a variety of things, although my main love is fiction. Pleasure to meet you all!
Hi Trai! Welcome to the group. An English major? Me too. There are a lot of us in this group. (I know, real shocker).
Hello everyone. I think I'll fit in here. I'm broke, I read, I'm a coffee addict and (soon to be) English major. Good to meet you all.

Hi! I'm Asri. I'm not an English major. Pre-med, so I'm not sure how well this will go once school starts again. I read Everything Is Illuminated a few months ago and wanted so badly to be in a book club to discuss it.
Hey guys! Im Hali and I'm a religion major at Florida State. I just found this group and am pretty excited about exploring it :)
Hi everyone!I've been following this group for a little while now, but am just getting around to introducing myself.
This summer I'm nervously anticipating my final year of college while reading almost any book I can get my hands on.
This group seems like a lot of fun and there appear to be a lot of really interesting discussions going on.
I'm excited and can't wait to keep exploring.
Hello! I'm new to Goodreads and this is my first group. My name is Samantha and I'm a sophomore printmaking major. I don't have to read much for school so hopefully I'll be able to participate in some group reads.
Hello! I have been reading the comments in this group for a while and I think it is time for me to say hi finally :)I will be going back to school this September in Boston. Boy, why does school seem like SUCH a long time ago?! I graduated only last year.
Welcome Becky! I feel the same way! I graduated college in December of 2008 and I feel like it was an eternity!
What will you be going to school for?
What will you be going to school for?
Hello everyone! I'm Emmie and an English major. I just finished my first semester of college and I was only able to read two pleasure books the entire semester! I thought I was going to die. So this summer I'm catching up. Hopefully this group can assist with that. :)
Welcome Emmie! Isn't it horrible when you can't read hardly any pleasure books during the school year?!
Welcome to the group Hali, Rayna, Samantha, Becky and Emmie! Hali-Religion? That's pretty cool, what made you choose that?
Rayna- Your final year? How exciting! What is your degree?
Samantha- I know what you mean about not being able to read during the school year, it's terrible!
Becky- Law? What made you choose that degree?
Emmie- Another English Major! What were the two books you were able to read?
Hello! My name is Rebecca, and I've just begun to dive into Goodreads because I'm done with school for the semester. I'm an English major, too, but I really like a lot of different areas of study. So I like a lot of different types of books too :)
Kimberly-- I chose law school mainly because of an independent study I did in college and a legal internship I got in the end. I thoroughly enjoyed both.
