Naomi (nblackburn) | 932 comments Thanks to Helen for bringing this author to our attention!

Leif Gustav Willy Persson is a Swedish criminologist and novelist. He was a professor in criminology at the Swedish National Police Board from 1992 to 2008.

He is known for his crime fiction novels and for his regular appearances as an expert commentator on notable crime cases in television and newspapers. Between 1999 and 2009 he participated as an expert commentator on the television show Efterlyst (Swedish TV program, equivalent of America's Most Wanted) on TV3.

His series:

Between Summer's Longing and Winter's End: The Story of a Crime http://bit.ly/10vQxhO

Another Time, Another Life http://bit.ly/126Piw3

Falling Free as if in a Dream http://amzn.to/18futzD To Be Released in US Feb. 2014

I smell an author of the month coming on!

Helen | 55 comments I am reading Another time, Another life. Leif G.W. Persson. I cannot put it down. A combination of fiction blended with fact e.g. I read all about the inside events leading up to the opening of the Berlin Wall in 1989. I read this twice (because I learnt something and also it was the 9th November, my birthday) I read well into the night rather than watch television and although I am only two thirds through it I am rushing out to get his next book Linda,. At the local library. I am very impressed with him.

Richard | 39 comments I finished Falling Free this weekend and enjoyed. The whole trilogy is solid with each volume having its own murder mystery and the Olaf Palme killing being an over-arching story line. The first book plot is also not completely explained/revealed until the last pages of the third novel (at least for me. Perhaps I simply wasn't paying close enough attention).

Highly recommend reading all three. It is a worthwhile investment of your time.

Helen | 55 comments richard. My favourite of all his books is Linda as in the Linda murder. Is this one as informative, I love the first two of the trilogy. I will get around to reading this last one.
