message 1: by rachel (new)

rachel Beau was originally going to have a dorm partner, but he dropped out of the school. It was too late to change him to a smaller, one-person dorm.

Living Room- (view spoiler)

Beau's Room- (view spoiler)

message 2: by rachel (new)

rachel Beau led Aztec toward the dorm building on the far end. He whipped out a key card and slipped it into the lock. A light flickered green and he pushed the door open to reveal a rather nice looking area, the Living Room. He stepped back, and offered for her to go in first.

message 3: by Keeli (new)

Keeli (lalalandito) Aztec hesitantly stepped in, staying on the mat, not wanting to get anything wet. "Is so.... Nice." Her eyes looked over anything, she sneezed lightly, trying to hold it in. "Is it okay if I borrow some clothes?" She asked.

message 4: by rachel (new)

rachel Beau smiled lightly. "Yeah," He paused then beckoned for her to follow. He stepped into his room, fishing out the smallest thing he had, which ended up being a still pretty large sweat shirt. "This is the smallest thing I have," He said, trailing off at the end of his sentence.

message 5: by Keeli (new)

Keeli (lalalandito) Aztec felt it, taking it lightly. "I hate to ask, but I don't really want to wear this as a dress.." A small blush formed on her cheeks, feeling so small and scrawny. The wind picked up outside, and a spirit slammed into the window, pressing its demonic face against the glass. She jumped, for Beau it was just a tree scratching the glass.

message 6: by rachel (last edited May 26, 2013 05:10PM) (new)

rachel "Yeah, that's what I thought," Beau rubbed the back of his neck as he glanced at the ceiling. "I could always make a run to your dorm, or wherever you're staying to pick up something." She wasn't exactly in the condition to be outside anymore than she already had... As she jumped, her gaze no longer focused on him, he turned and glanced at the window. He sighed slightly when nothing appeared to be there. Couldn't these spirits leave her alone?

message 7: by Keeli (new)

Keeli (lalalandito) Her blush deepened, "I don't have a dorm." She mumbled, looking away. "I'll be right back." And like that, she placed his sweatshirt on the table and was out the door. In a few mere minutes, she walked back in with a duffel bag. "dad decided to give the dorm to Marcus, so I never got one." She started rummaging through the bag, pulling out a jacket and some other things. "Bathroom?" She asked, holding the clothes to her chest.

message 8: by rachel (new)

rachel Beau was silent for a moment. She didn't have a dorm? Then where did she stay? He shook his head and cleared his throat. "Uh, just across from my room," He stuck a thumb over his shoulder to indicate where it was.

message 9: by Keeli (last edited May 26, 2013 05:26PM) (new)

Keeli (lalalandito) With a nod, Aztec left, changing in the bathroom quickly. She walked out in the dark grey jacket that fell to her hamstrings with black leggings. Her hair tied up, she was holding her wet clothes, sneezing lightly. She looked so small and fragile, like she could mentally and physically break any second. She had dark circles under her eyes, and the way she moved made her look terrified of everything. She smiled at Beau, a hint of happiness hidden deep in her eyes. "Thanks for everything." Aztec said nervously.

message 10: by rachel (last edited May 26, 2013 05:37PM) (new)

rachel Beau smiled sheepishly. "You're welcome to stay as long as you need," His luminous gaze scanned her exhausted expression. He gestured toward the black leather couch for her to sit. "Want anything to drink...?" He asked her as he drew out a blanket from the closet in the hall way, just in case she was still cold.

((Ugh, sorry for terrible writing...))

message 11: by Keeli (new)

Keeli (lalalandito) (Don't worry! You're good! ^-^/)

Aztec smiled lightly, "no, I'm good." She walked over to the fire place, standing there and staring at the flames. She reached out to warm her hands, and the fire suddenly died in a plume of smoke. She blinked, rocking back and sitting on her bottom. "I forgot to tell you why people hate me so much."

message 12: by rachel (new)

rachel Beau raised an eyebrow. "Really? People actually have a reason to hate you?" He didn't believe it. He moved over to her and handed her the soft, fleece blanket. He sat beside her.

message 13: by Keeli (last edited May 26, 2013 06:01PM) (new)

Keeli (lalalandito) Aztec looked ashamed, and the fire sparked back to life when he walked over. She wrapped the blanket around herself. "In the beginning of the year, when I was barely enrolled, I couldn't control my powers. And one of my powers was that, on touch, I could send your soul into the spirit world. Not like when I touched you, I only gave you the sight of the spirit world." She blushed, looking away. "I only said those things about being torn apart so that I'd have someone to talk to. Anyway. A mortal can't come back from the spirit world... And because I was new, I got into a little fight with the girls. I slapped her and her boyfriend pulled me off. I was too angry, and I sent his spirit to the dead. And I killed him...."

message 14: by rachel (new)

rachel Beau remained silent as she spoke of her past, his eyes gazing into the fireplace as the fire crackled gently. He listened intently, smiling slightly when she said I'd have someone to talk to. When she finished with 'I killed him', Beau glanced at her in surprise. It was anger or disgust, just surprise. His eyes closed briefly. He had killed someone out of pure anger and hatred, just as she. "It's all right..." He murmured. "You're not the only one who's taken someone's life out of anger..."

message 15: by Keeli (new)

Keeli (lalalandito) "Hmmm?" Aztec asked, looking at him lazily. He seemed like someone with a temper, but wouldn't kill anyone. I guess I'm the same.. she thought looking at him. "Who was it?"

message 16: by rachel (new)

rachel Beau continued to blankly watched the flames. He sighed softly and glanced at her. "My Dad." The fact that his dad was dead didn't bother him, but it was how little he felt when he killed him. Beau actually hated him more than anything.

message 17: by Keeli (new)

Keeli (lalalandito) "Sorry, I can't really relate to hating my parents..." She said, standing up and stretching. "You don't have to tell me the story if you don't want to. I've come to think of it different, people die. You can't control the fact that they're gone. It's just what happened." She grabbed the blanket harder, walking over and closing the blinds. Walking back over, she plopped herself on the couch, her stomach growling softly. She blushed, looking guilty.

message 18: by rachel (new)

rachel Beau smiled as he dismissed their gloomy conversation. He rose to his feet. "If you're hungry, I can get you something to eat." He didn't have that much food, since he usually ate in the cafeteria. He had a few frozen dinners and a cup or two of top ramen.

message 19: by Keeli (new)

Keeli (lalalandito) Aztec followed him, she saw the ramen and grabbed it, smiling like a weirdo. "I can make it!" She said, grabbing a pot (after rummaging through the counters), putting some water in it, and putting it on the small flat top.

message 20: by rachel (new)

rachel Beau laughed lightly. "All right then." He moved over to the fridge, leaning down as he opened the door. A gust of chilly air filled the kitchen. "What do you want to drink?"

message 21: by Keeli (new)

Keeli (lalalandito) "Just water.." She said, steam coming up and soon making her wince away, wiping hot water off her face. Looking at him, she shrugged it off, her slightly red face emotionless.

(Sorry dude, been so busy! )

message 22: by rachel (new)

rachel ((It's good.))

Beau glanced at her then shrugged to himself. He stepped over to the cabinet, pulling out a couple of clear glasses. The fridge had a water dispenser, so he just pushed each cup beneath it until they were full. He sipped his own and set Aztec's on the counter.

message 23: by Keeli (new)

Keeli (lalalandito) Aztec stared at the noodles, finally glancing up at him. "Why are you so nice to me?" She asked, taking the water and sipping it, then gulping it down, her burning throat screaming.

message 24: by rachel (new)

rachel Beau raised an eyebrow. "Why? Would you prefer if I were still a jerk to you?" He opened a couple of empty drawers before finding one that contained a couple of spoons and forks. He fished out a couple of forks and set them on the counter.

message 25: by Keeli (new)

Keeli (lalalandito) "No, but everyone else is.." She took the pan off the burner, turning it off as well. Sipping her water, she looked at him. "Look, I'm not trying to be the sad pathetic girl who cant take sarcasm, but really. When I first came here you were just like the rest of them, laughing and joking about me while your girlfriend at the time spread rumors about how I was a fake. Now its two years later and I don't understand why you're suddenly the good guy.." She held her ground, looking him right in the eye.
"I remember what you did the first time I tried to talk to you..."

message 26: by rachel (new)

rachel Beau grimaced slightly, leaning on the counter with a hand. "Look, being with you has made me learn how to not judge people before you get to know them," He rubbed the back of his neck with a sigh. "But just because I'm sweet on you doesn't mean I still don't have my assumptions about people." The words came out a little harsher than intended. He glanced down at his feet with another sigh. "Sorry."

message 27: by Keeli (new)

Keeli (lalalandito) Aztec didn't say anything, she wanted to get up and leave, her legs trembling and begging her to. She sat still, her eyes on the noodles. Running away's not going to get you anywhere...
Looking up at him, she let out a long breath. "It's okay, I don't know why I'm even trying to talk about the past anymore. All it does is just ruin friendships." She got up and walked to the edge of a kitchen, leaning in the corner as she grabbed a bowl and poured the Ramen into it, the steam making her face wet again.

message 28: by rachel (last edited Jun 07, 2013 06:54PM) (new)

rachel "It's good to get it all out on the table though," Beau assured her quietly, his luminous eyes watching her momentarily as she fixed the Ramen into the bowl, her change in both expression and body moving making him wince slightly. He took his cup and poured the remaining water into the sink before setting it back on the counter with a light clack.

message 29: by Keeli (new)

Keeli (lalalandito) (No no! It's okay! I was off for a long time ^-^/ have fun!)

message 30: by rachel (new)

rachel ((^^ Done.))

message 31: by Keeli (new)

Keeli (lalalandito) Aztec jumped at the noise, a blush forming on her cheekbones. "There's nothing to put down on the table..." She said in a low voice. "You've already seen all my cards. What's the point of a poker face if you know what's hiding behind it." She turned to him, her eyes a dull and seemingly fake blue. "What's the point in trying if no one believes you..."

message 32: by rachel (last edited Jun 09, 2013 06:20PM) (new)

rachel Beau's brows furrowed slightly. He fell silent momentarily, an eerie tension filling the room. "Aztec," He started softly, unsure of how to respond to her. He grimaced slightly. "You can never stop trying," He huffed. "I know the people here give you a hard time, and that your 'Supernatural Ability' isn't easy to cope with... But you don't just give up."

message 33: by Keeli (new)

Keeli (lalalandito) "What is there to give up on!" Aztec mumbled, sitting up tall and standing close to him, their chests almost touching. "I've been stuck with knowing that I killed my mother all of my life. I've been beaten, tortured, killed... If I had given up, I'd be buried in the ground." Aztec looked at him, slight happiness in her eyes, "look, I'm not trying to guilt you or make you feel bad for me. You're the first friend I've ever had. You aren't as cruel as the others, and I do wonder why you're even bothering with me... But..."

message 34: by rachel (new)

rachel ((Eh sorry for the crappyness, I'm not good at conversing intense dialog between characters. xD))

Beau let out a long sigh. "I'm not 'bothering' with you just because I pity you, believe me. I've already had my share of self-pity." His eyes flitted closed briefly as he thought. "It's true though, when I first met you I never thought we would be here. I thought I would stick with you until that little spirit thing wore off, and then we would go our separate ways, but now..."

message 35: by Keeli (last edited Jun 09, 2013 06:43PM) (new)

Keeli (lalalandito) (Hah, me neither....)

"I don't want to leave," Aztec said, looking at him, embarrassment rising in her cheeks again. "You're the only friend I've ever had.."

(GAH! To short, oh well...)

message 36: by rachel (new)

rachel Beau smiled lightly. Without another word, he pulled her into a gentle hug. So they both had issues with their past, that was definitely something they had in common.

message 37: by Keeli (new)

Keeli (lalalandito) A weird and strong sensation ran through her body, she didn't want to let go, but she did. Aztec yawned, stretching until her shoulders popped. "Can I crash on the couch?" She asked, looking at the time. Almost two in the morning.. Huh...

message 38: by rachel (new)

rachel Beau followed her gaze to the kitchen clock. Was it really already that late? He glanced at her. "Yeah, of course." He glanced at the fleece blanket that lay on the couch. "Do you want another blanket?"

message 39: by Keeli (new)

Keeli (lalalandito) "No," Aztec ran over and jumped on the couch, bouncing from her light weight. She wrapped herself in the blanket, sitting there silently with a cute little smile on her face. "Good night!" She closed her eyes and sunk into the bundle, twisting and turning until she was comfortable.

message 40: by rachel (new)

rachel Beau watched her with a light smirk. Wasn't she a bit quirky? He moved over to the single chair near the couch. He sat in it with a silent sigh. He watched her sleeping figure for a moment before unknowingly dozing off at the realization of his own sleepiness.

message 41: by Keeli (new)

Keeli (lalalandito) Aztec looked up, hearing his heartbeat slow. Her eyes glowed as her emotions flared, and she silently moved to the side of the couch that was closer to him. She looked at his slack body, and curled into a ball. Goodnight... Beau...

message 42: by rachel (new)

rachel ((So, skipping to morning. x3))

Sunlight filtered through the closed blinds of the large window pane. Beau's eyes wearily flickered open. He yawned softly and straightened his slouched posture in a stretch. He glanced toward the couch where Aztec slept.

((Oh, just a heads up. I'm headed out tomorrow on a two week vacation, and we're going to be staying in a little cabin resort in Yellowstone, so I don't think there will be Wi-fi. >.< So if you wonder why I'm not on, that's why.))

message 43: by Keeli (new)

Keeli (lalalandito) There was no sign of her, only a blanket that looked like it had been thrown off. There was the soft sound of chewing from above, and there Aztec sat. She was sitting almost twenty feet off the ground, her body resting on a support beam. Her eyes gazing out the window blankly as she ate cereal.

message 44: by rachel (new)

rachel Beau scanned the large room, but failed to see any sign of her. His eyebrow arched at the quiet sound of crunching and he slowly tilted his head upward toward the ceiling. There she sat, nonchalantly eating cereal. "Aztec?" He stood from the leather chair.

message 45: by Keeli (new)

Keeli (lalalandito) "Hmm?" She skied, looking at him. "What is it?" Aztec watched as the sunlight slowly leaked through the window, hitting his face perfectly. She took another bite of Lucky Charms, swinging her legs the other way so that she could look at him. In the action it looked like she was about to fall off, but elegant at the same time.

message 46: by rachel (new)

rachel "How'd you get up there?" Beau asked, his optics momentarily searching his own living room for some sort of ladder or maybe some secret staircase he never knew about.

message 47: by Keeli (new)

Keeli (lalalandito) "Why?" Aztec asked, putting the bowl aside and swinging down until she was hanging buy her legs, her shirt tucked into her pants as her arms hung loosely."have you not been up there before?"

message 48: by rachel (new)

rachel "Well I don't think it was made for comfortable seating," Beau huffed, his voice laced with mild amusement.

message 49: by Keeli (last edited Jun 18, 2013 03:02PM) (new)

Keeli (lalalandito) Aztec smirked, sitting up and suddenly appearing behind him with the cereal. "Oh, it's very comfortable. You should try it sometime.." She said, her face dead serious. She smiled lightly, laughing and walking over to the sink where she placed her dishes gently. Leaning on the counter, she glanced back at him, crossing her arms. Her eyes sparked momentarily, a soft glow emitting from her shirt. There lay the crystal that her brother gave her, "I'll be right, back. O-okay?" She asked, pulling on a jacket and ducking out of the room, leaving her shoes tossed aside.

message 50: by rachel (last edited Jun 24, 2013 11:43AM) (new)

rachel "Yeah, okay," Beau assured her with a light laugh, his gentle gaze tracing each movement she made as she placed her dished into the sink. A soft smile playing on his lips as he leaned slightly onto the couch. When she left the room, he started after her, his mouth pursed slightly. When he decided not to question as to where she was going, he glanced down at her shoes. "Hang on, don't you want your shoes?" He called after her, pausing in the doorway.
