Nivens hopped along the road towards the lovely little tea table. He rarely saw it empty. He sat down in one of the chairs and poured himself and Isabella some tea. "Sugar?"
Isabella smiles and nods. "Got to have sugar Sir." She was also a little amaze that Nivens let her call him sir. Most people didnt like it
Nivens gave her the sugar and got himself a muffin. "Mmh, flaters and cwakers. I love that flavour." He turned to Isabella and handed her a muffin. "It's chocolate chip. You have that in your world, right?"
"Yes Sir, they are amazing in our world. My mother makes the best ones ever." Isabella said smiling at the muffin before taking a bite
Nivens smiled sadly at Isabella, when he realized she'd probably never see her mother again. "How did you get here? Was it sudden?"
"I follow a fairy to the portal, Sir. But sometimes it seems like i was looking for a way out of the human world. I didnt have the best life there, Sir." ISabella said, and looks down at her tea
Nivens wasn't good at comforting people so he tried to change the subject. "Do you like your tea?"(( sorry gotta go. :) See ya ;) ))
Isabella gave a little laugh at him changing the subject but didnt say anything to it. "Yes, Sir it taste like human tea. Which is surprisingly weird since I dislike tea.
Nivens chuckled. "Well that's great!" He got himself another muffin and ate it. Suddenly he remembered the mushroom he had taken with him and took it out of his pocket. "Here, try it in your tea! It tastes great."
"Sir, no offence but you say everything taste good." Isabella laughs a little. She caught the mushroom and try it with her tea. "Sir it does taste amazingly good." She looks down at her tea and smiles
Nivens looked around. "Well, everything from Wonderland tastes good", he said laughing. "So how long have you been here?"
"Sir, not everything can taste good but i will take your word." Isabella thought for a while. "I been here since i was 16 and now i am 18. So 2 years sir."
"And you never met someone?", Nivens gasped. "Were you all alone the whole time?" Nivens couldn't imagine she didn't meet anybody from Wonderland.
Isabella shrugs. "I meet people, i just moved on before i could know them." That how she travels, stay in town only 3 days then moves. If she meets someone, don't answer questions about staying and if they ask to you to ask leave in the night.
Nivens couldn't believe it. Well it was Wonderland. "So have you been doing all this time? Just wandering around?" Nivens took another sip of his tea and bit into his muffin. Mmh delicious, he thought. ((Sorry notification didn't work!!!))
((It okay))Isabella shrugs again. "Yea, pretty much. I tried to stay out of people ways." She also took a bite of her muffin. 'Does taste like moms.' She thought. That a little weird but cool at the same time
"Yes, have been there." She said and thought about her trip there. It was fun but everything was different
"How was it there?", he asked curious. He had never been there and wondered how it would be. "Is it very different? More like your world or ours?"
Isabella thought for some seconds. "It like neither worlds. Everything works together, and nothing is dull." She says
Nivens checked his pocket watch. "Oh my, I better get back to the queen. Do you want to come along? You could find a place to stay!"
Nivens chuckled. "I work for the red queen. Not like I have a choice...she can be quite...interesting", he said. "It will only take a few moments, then I can take you to the real queen, the white queen. She is very kind, I think you should at least just meet her!"
The table was messy as ever, but its usual habitats weren't present. Neither Hatter nor March Hare were there. Instead Alex stood alone at the head of the table before taking his seat to the right of the head. He felt alone since he hasn't seen his friends in so long. There were so many places Alex hasn't been but he couldn't help but return here. Solemnly, Alex took a sip from a cold pot of tea.
Alex looked up at her for a moment before returning to his tea, "No i haven't. Hatter's been quite sporadic lately." He didn't recognize the girl as she approached, but then again he didn't get a real good look. Forming a big smile on his face, Alex turned to the girl welcomingly, "Maybe he'll show up today."
Reaching for her hand he introduced, "Same! Alex!" With his slight pronunciation problem the names sounded exactly alike. He continued to shake her hand wildly with great power until he realized that he should be the gentleman, "Please have a seat. Where ever you like. I'll poor some tea." He gets up and reaches for the cold pot.
Alex smiled happily, "Nope it's cold, but it's still tea!" He poured Alice a cup of tea and handed it to her. "If you want hot tea, you're out of luck." Moving back to his seat, Alex took a sip of his own. "It's a nice day now isn't it?" He continued hoping that small talk would quell his feeling of awkwardness.
This mention of war surprised him. For the most part Hatter has kept it a secret from him because of Alex's inability to cope with such things. His stutter begins to emerge as he answers, "U-underland...yes, yess, yessss....here. I'm h-h-h-here." Immediately his hands begin to flap as if he's trying to get something off of them. "W-w-w-w-w-wonderland....I'm in Wonderland...." He looks to Alice trying to calm down, instead he smashes a cup and starts to pace around the table.
He looked at her madly, "WHAT!" His world, Wonderland, was now breaking down ever-so-slightly. Her face seemed familiar yet he knew he'd never seen her before. Getting closer to her face he remembered her from a dream so long ago; a dream of Wonderland. "You're Alice, aren't you?"
Smiling, "I-i-i-i-i'm in Wonderland because I'm still Alex! Alex, Alex, Alex.... Y-y-y-y-y-yes, I'm still here." His delusions continued as he fought to separate his 'real' world memories with those of Wonderland. Holding his head Alex continued to pace until he came back to the table. "So Alice, what's going on? Enjoy your tea?" He continued still on a rampage. His already unstable mind continued to deteriorate as it focused on the noun 'war'.
Silently he nodded before breaking down into tears. Pushing her away from him, he moved back to the table. With the table supporting most of his weight, Alex took sip from Alice's cup which seemed to calm him down a bit, as tea usually did. He was afraid of what would happen next.
Alex's mind was scaring him, much like it usually did, but this time it brought back painful memories. Getting more out of hand, he began to scream as if in pain. Using a knife he held it out at Alice, "D-d-d-d-don't come near me. I-i-i-i-i-i'm n-n-n-not c-c-crazy." Inside Alex's mind memories of his abusive family arose. Redirecting his anger at himself he broke down again. Now he grabbed the blade of the knife trying to relieve the pain.
"You're real...Wonderland....underland...." His voice fades slightly as he feels tired. Letting go of the knife he slumps onto the ground in a daze. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry" he repeats over and over again. Alice reminds him of his mother who would always be there, until she wasn't... Nevertheless, he welcomed her voice and actions.
Alex finally returned to Wonderland [his reality] seemingly pushing away the memory of what just happened to return to the table. Taking a piece of cloth from the hem of his pant leg, he wrapped his hands to stop the bleeding. "Tea, Alice? It's cold, but it'll do. It seems like it's time to switch seats. Lets move down now shall we." He moved to his right waiting for Alice to follow suit. "Well come along... You must drink your tea before it's time to switch again." He smiles care freely suppressing his previous meltdown.
Seeing her outstretched cup, Alex poured the tea to the brim. "It's a lovely day now isn't it. Just another wonderful day in Wonderland. Now isn't it?" His happy demeanor returned in full force. Now Alice was at the head of the table. She looked so much like his dreams that it must be her. Hatter told him about her only once saying that Alex should be nice to Alice because they were the same. Keeping his smile Alex reached for a stale cookie that had fallen off the plate.
Cheshire appeared out of nowhere. "Lovely from the view you see from. How sad for those who cannot have such a view" she spoke in response to Alex. She thus took a sit in one of the chairs in her cat form before she shifted in a human form. She sat up straight with a smile.
Alex smiled at the old friend, "Cheshire, how wonderful for you to join us today! It's a lovely day. How have you been old friend?" He moved to pour Cheshire a cup of tea by reaching over Alice in the process.
Alex was the first to greet the fairy, "Welcome friend! Isn't it a lovely day. I don't believe I've seen you before. Are you of Underland?" His voice was happy and upbeat as he played with the fairy dust that came from her body.
Avril walked around then saw something then peaked around the corner. her long wavy/ curly purple hair hanging beside her as she looked around the corner. she was shocked about what she seen but thought it was funny and couldn't help but giggle
"You know me. Here but never there. Yet there but never here. " Cheshire said with a smile as she took the cup of tea from Alex. "It is such a maddening day today, a good day for something mad to happen. Don't you agree?" she said nonchalantly as she sipped her tea.
Alex was overwhelmed with all the new faces. Looking to Tink first, "hi, I'm Alex". He poured another cup of tea for her even though it was more like a swimming pool.then his attention moved to Chesire, "Mad, maybe. Something fun and outrageous...than yes, I'd love for something maddening!"
Cheshire laughed with a grin on her face. "But we are already mad indeed. " she told them before her attention drew to Alice." My dear Alice. Why would I ever want to see him? " she said with a raised eyebrow. "Let us talk about stories. Have you all heard the study of the man and the bee?" she said before sipping her tea.
Alex continued with Cheshire's idea, "STORY TIME! Do tell." He was nearly jumping off his seat before he announced to all, "Oh, it's time to change seats. Immediately, Alex jumps to the next seat to his right patiently waiting for the rest of them to follow suit...even Tinkerbell at that.
Alex smiled at them all as he continued to live in his perfect world. "We change seats because..." He replied to Tink's question. He poured Tink another cup of tea for her to swim in. "Please remember to drink before we need to change seats again, or you'll miss what you left." His innocence was prevalent as he continued to ignore Alice and Cheshire's conversation.
