Grayson carried Cora into the room, placing her on a large purple bed which he could only assume was hers. He had decided against the idea of going to the infirmary- Cora seemed uncomfortable and Gray didn't really feel like seeing Desiree. Quickly, he grabbed a hand towel from the bathroom and soaked it in cold water, bringing it back and laying it against Cora's wrist.

"Thank you..." Cora paused biting her lip, she had almost started telling him why she was afraid of anything hospital related. It was...difficult. Cora hated being afraid of anything, admitting it was worse. Only because people then wanted to know why, and it was something that she would just rather forget. She scooted over to give him some room to sit down, "You didn't have to do that." She wasn't accustomed to anyone...well helping her in anyway. Axel was always too unstable, Ace was never strong enough, and their father he didn't want them after their mother died.

Grayson took a seat on the foot of her bed and leaned back on the palms of his hands. "Well I couldn't exactly leave you sprawled on the floor, could I?" He smiled, one devoid of any emotion. A few flash backs were occurring through his mind of when Grayson's wrist had been broken by his father shattering a beer bottle against it. It had to heal on it's own, not a very good thing. His eyes lightened a bit as he noticed Cora bite her lip- it was a thing she did a lot, as attractive as it was.

Cora arched her brow before she started laughing, "Maybe I liked being "sprawled" out on the ground?" She smiled at him as she resumed her teasing, "Perhaps, the floor and I were having a moment and you interrupted us?" She stopped when she saw that he was lost in seemingly dark thoughts, "Hey, are you okay?" She leaned forward, tilting her head to the side slightly. She wasn't sure if he would tell her what was troubling him, but she would be there to listen if he did. Cora noticed that his eyes were drawn to her lips, which she had realized she had been biting. It was a nervous habit of hers, most of the time she wasn't even aware that she was doing it. She blushed lightly, and began to randomly play with her honey hued hair.

message 6: by [deleted user] (new)

"You have a lot of habits." He murmured, avoiding Cora's previous question. He wasn't ready to talk about his past just yet, even though he was talking to someone in a similar position. Only she will ever understand how he feels. With that, a new sense of respect developed for the girl in front of him. She must be very strong to withstand what Grayson nearly collapsed under. He smiled as she tilted her head an adorable way- a blush spread through her cheeks and Gray's smile lifted a bit more.

An amused look flashed across Cora's face, "Oh I do, do I? Odd, I hadn't realized that I was being studied so closely. I guess I should mind myself more..." Habits were dangerous to have in their line of work, it made you an easier target. She noted that he avoided her question, so she didn't try to push him to talk to her about it. Because she understood, the past was a terrible place for people like them. Always having to prove that they were loyal to Enigma and not their own family members. In her case, having to go as far as killing her own brother for the sake of the world, as her superiors put it anways. She hoped Grayson never had to do what she had done. No matter how she felt about her brother when he was alive...his death made her feel so guilty. She looked up at Grayson and wondered how he dealt with the things that his father had done. Probably the same way that she used to with Axel, by vowing to stop him whenever the chance came. She shook the dark thoughts from her mind and grinned over at Grayson, "So what habits of mine have you noticed?"

message 8: by [deleted user] (new)

Lying back on the bed, Grayson laced his fingers behind his head. "Well, for starters, when you are uncertain or hesitating you bite your lip. You always play with the left side of your hair by twirling it around your index finger. You blush when realization hits and tilt your head when you're curious. Generally, you make it very easy to read you." He grinned, turning his face to look at her. Yep, there's the hair curling again. Cora was definitely not hard on the eyes. Her silky waves tumbled down her shoulders, and her features were well defined. Grayson definitely saw himself lucky to be the first to attract her attention. His mind strayed from their previous discussion, focused on her immaculate looks.

Cora thought over his observations, while he was right on a few, he wasn't right on all of them. Cora prided herself on being able to hide her thoughts and feelings, she wasn't sure how she felt about Grayson being able to pick things about her character so fast. Maybe she was losing her edge, she had been too lax here lately...or maybe it was just him. "Well, I'll confirm that the lip biting is definitely a habit. I do occasionally play with my hair, but I wouldn't say that I do it enough to be called a habit. As for the blushing...I've never been much of a blusher. In fact, as much as I hate to admit it, this is the most my face has turned red in-- well in as long as I can remember." She placed a pillow in her lap, she could feel Grayson's eyes fixated on her. She was shocked at the fact that she felt pleased by it, normally she avoided guys. But with Grayson it was different, she actually wanted to be near him.

message 10: by [deleted user] (new)

"Sure, whatever you say." He smiled, gazing up at the ceiling. Though Cora claimed herself a badass, stoic warrior, Grayson could see the girl behind. She was quite an intriguing figure, that was for sure. He licked his chapped lips, a habit that himself had. "Where are you from, Cora?" He asked out of the blue. Getting to know this girl was high on his priorities list right now, and he was bound to if he kept heading the way he was.

Cora rolled her eyes at his words, but didn't comment upon them. She began to study him, his features were highly appealing. She could see why he had girls fighting, for lack of a better word, over him. Though the thought made her frown, she didn't really like the idea of girls vying for his affections. Jealously...well that was an emotion that she hadn't experienced in a while. She sighed, Cora hadn't even known Grayson for a full day an yet he was already bringing out things in her she thought long buried within herself. His question caught her off guard, "Texas. My father was a General in the Army, he was in charge of a...research facility at the Fort Bliss military base." Cora replied lightly, but what she didn't mention that his research was on mutants.

message 12: by [deleted user] (new)

"Interesting. My family was from California." He responded lightly, avoiding who exactly were in his family. He could feel Cora's eyes on him and he smiled. Her finding him attractive was strangely appealing, though he must admit, he too found Cora very beautiful to look at. He thought for a few seconds before asking another question. "Do you have any other siblings? Apart from Axel of course..." He trailed off, immediately regretting his words. One thing he knew from experience was to not talk about family members on the list. It sent your emotions on lockdown, and that was the opposite of what he wanted from Cora.

Antonia (adf7793) | 192 comments Mod
"California? That must be nice, I've never been but I've always wanted to go." Cora loved his smile, it was the kind of smile that drew a person in...like gravity. He didn't seem like a person that smiled every much, Grayson was the kind of guy that would everyone at arms length, not giving them a chance to get close. Cora would know, she was the same way...perhaps it came with the territory. Cora felt herself grow cold inside at the mention of Axel's name, after the Simulation Room incident he was still fresh on her mind. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, she knew that Grayson hadn't meant anything by mentioning him. "Yes, I have an older brother Ace, he's in Enigma too. We are -- well we were triplets before Axel...died." She paused unsure of what to say next, she felt like she needed to defend her brother. It wasn't Axel's fault that he turned out the way that he did. Plus, for some reason Cora felt as if she could trust Grayson, maybe it was because he knew what she was going through. So she decided to tell him, something she hadn't told anyone in a long time, "Grayson...what do you know about a guy named General Nikolai Bancroft?"

message 14: by [deleted user] (new)

Grayson stiffened almost immediately when she said that name. He was an evil person, Nikolai Bancroft- almost as bad as his father. "Cora, Nikolai Bancroft is a bastard. His hatred towards humanity extends even further than my father's. What did he do to you?" Grayson said hurriedly, jerking up from his position on the bed. During his rant, his hands gripped the sides of her arms firmly, but not enough to hurt her. For once, Grayson was truly letting his emotions show. One, he was extremely worried about Cora. About what he did to her or her family. Two, rage. Rage that a man had lost all sense of humanity had targeted the beautiful girl before him. And sadness, that he couldn't prevent it and whatever the General had done to Cora was something related to his father.

Antonia (adf7793) | 192 comments Mod
Cora could feel the air in the room change, it had become electrically charged with a rush of wild emotions. By the way that Grayson was holding on to her arms, joined by his words she could tell he wasn't a fan the General. Not that she was either by any means, being considered a test subject instead of a daughter to the man that she called father didn't exactly endear Nikolai to her. But after their mother died during child birth Nikolai grew to hate them, he blamed Cora and her bothers for her death. When they found out they were mutants, his hatred for them only grew. "So I take it you know about his attempt to find a cure for mutants...and about his test subjects? Axel wasn't always, he used to be the best brother a girl could have..." She trailed off, hot tears were starting to fill her eyes, but she blinked them away, "Nikolai Bancroft is our father and we were his test subjects...the cure is what caused Axel to lose his mind."

message 16: by [deleted user] (new)

Grayson ran a hand through his hair roughly. Sh*t. He had never come across this kind of situation before. Sure, he had seen some portfolios that his father had brought home after going to the 'bar' and what they had done to them. They were enhancing the mutants, trying to make them super soldiers to do their bidding and send the world into chaos. Cora's watering eyes didn't go unnoticed, and he tried to calm down for her sake. He had met Nikolai before, and he was someone who you could never meet too late. Sighing, he looked into Cora's eyes apologetically. He didn't mean to burst out, but that man had done some horrific things to Grayson himself. He also understood what she meant by Axel hadn't always lost his mind. "Nikolai Bancroft works for my father."

Cora's eyes widened at the information that Grayson had just revealed to her. She wanted to deny it, to tell him that he was wrong, but deep down she knew that he wasn't. Grayson had no reason to lie to her, none at all. It all made sense. Why Axel had gone crazy and why his powers had become stronger, that's what her father had really been working on. Axel had been a success, Ace was a failure, and she was the in between. She had been able to project energy before the cure, after she could both project and absorb it...making her the perfect energy source. Her powers had grown...more than Axel's had, but she retained her mind. That made her shutter in fear, what if it had been her that had lost her mind...she could have killed innocents. That disgusted her, and rage filled her body denoted by her eyes swirling into a yellow hue. The power flickered around them, "I should have known...it was too good to be true that he could have actually cared for us."

message 18: by [deleted user] (new)

Grayson saw the rage lying beneath the surface of the girl before her, but he also saw the hint of sadness. She must be devastated from the fact that the man who created her had no humane feelings and everything she knew had been a lie. Grayson knew what it was like to be pitied, and he absolutely hated it. They didn't know how he felt, but the beauty before him did. He swallowed, and placed his calloused hand over hers gently, not knowing if it was the right move or not. He knew she was frustrated and angry, but he also knew she needed comfort, the one thing Grayson himself had been deprived of for years.

Cora tried to reign in her anger but she couldn't, how could she have not known about this. Why hadn't Enigma told her, if Grayson knew, they had to have known as well. She had always known that her father hated her, he had always been clear with his feelings...but wanting to turn her into a mindless killing machine. It hurt her more than she could ever put into words. When Grayson place his hand on top of hers, she glanced up to lock her eyes with his. She focused on him, his stormy eyes, his well chiseled face, he was truly a sight to behold. She moved closer to him, sitting next to his side and resting her head on his shoulder. She wasn't sure how he would respond to her being so close to him, but it calmed her in a way that surprised her. Her yellow orbs returned to their normal aqua blue pigment, and silent tears rolled down her face.

message 20: by [deleted user] (new)

Grayson was surprised when Cora scooted closer and rested her head on his shoulder. Without hesitation, he wrapped his arms around her and brought the girl into an embrace. His cheek rested upon her head, his deep breaths blowing strands of hair into disarray. He felt a patch on his shirt become wet and glanced down to see that Cora was... crying. He stroked her hair, empathizing with the beautiful girl in his arms.

Cora didn't know what to think when Grayson pulled her into his arms, whatever she had expected...it wasn't that. However, she found that she liked it, being in his arms felt natural...meant to be in a way. She pulled away a little at that thought, as it scared her slightly. She hadn't let anyone get close to her in a long time, but Grayson was breaking down all of the walls that she had build to protect herself. She glanced down and noticed that she had gotten his shirt wet with her tears, "I'm sorry..." She started to apologize to him, but a question had been burning in her mind. "Were you a subject in my father's trails too?" Her eyes flew open in horror when the question became no longer a thought but an actual question that she had never meant to say out loud.

((Hey Antonia:3))

Grayson was a little disappointed when Cora pulled away, but he could understand why. He was a little shocked by her question, but then an uncomfortable confirmation settled around him. "I... I don't know." Grayson murmured, a questioning expression in his eyes. He hadn't realized until now that there were little gaps in his memory, like something had been there but he couldn't recall what- or who. A panicked look clouded his vision, making little black dots appear in his peripheral.

((Heya Doll, are you feeling better today?))

Cora placed her hands on the sides of his face, cupping his cheeks, "Grayson...it's okay, calm down...I'm so sorry I should never have asked you that." She gazed into his stormy eyes, hoping that she could calm him down. She was angry with herself for causing him to freak out like this, obviously her mouth needed a new filter. Cora didn't realize how close she was to Grayson, nor did she care, she only cared about comforting him. After what he had done for him she owed him, but it was more than that. Cora actually cared about Grayson...which was something that hadn't happened in a long time. She hadn't let herself get close to anyone in a long time, but Grayson was different...

((Bleh, not so much but I'm happier because I got the best score out of my whole grade on a history exam:))

Grayson's eyes flickered around a bit, adrenaline rushing through his veins before coming to rest on hers when her skin came into contact with his. They had a calming effect that had his heart slowing in a pleasant way. He placed his palms on top of hers and pulled Cora's hands down so that his large ones were cupping hers. "I'm sorry- I have always had these blank spots in my head but I dismissed them, not realising that... what they could be." He relented, swallowing hard. Her eyes were beautiful he noticed, a gorgeous blue that swam with varying emotions. He cared for this girl more than he wanted to admit, even though they had practically just met.

((Awesome! I love History XD))

Cora's heart started to pick up its pace, and she visibly swallowed, she felt bad for him...or both of them really. The fact that her father was probably the cause for his missing memories made her feel guilty. As if she could have stopped it in someway, though she knew the chances of that were slim. "I'm sorry..." Cora squeezed his hands, looking down at them. Feeling rather bold, Cora threw her arms around Grayson, pulling him into a light hug. Despite the sudden chill in the air around them, she was warm from the heat that he was radiating.

message 26: by [deleted user] (new)

((Yeah, my history teacher is the best:D))

Grayson was once again surprised by Cora's action but wrapped his hands around her waist, returning the embrace. He put his head and breathed in her intoxicating smell. Trying not to be too much of a pervert, he removed his head from her neck at let it rest against the crown of her head. Grayson appreciated her comfort, because he knew it was something she didn't offer to people a lot. Gently, he leaned back and looked into her gorgeous eyes, transfixed by their beauty.

Cora was pleased when Grayson hugged her back, he didn't seem like the type of guy that allowed people to get close to him often. They were alike in that regard...honestly, they were alike in a lot more ways than that. She was glad that he hadn't pushed her away, that would have hurt her in ways she didn't think were possible after only knowing someone for such a short time. When his stormy grayish-blue orbs peered into hers, she smiled softly at him, feeling happy for the first time in a long time.

message 28: by [deleted user] (new)

When Grayson saw Cora's smile, he leaned in slightly. Without thinking, his lips pressed against hers softly. She is perfect, he thought with a smile. Cora made him feel happiness he hadn't felt in years, and true completion. The gaping hole that his father left had been perfectly filled by the girl before him, even though they had just met. Grayson and Cora were alike in more ways than one, and he felt like he could truly open up to her.

Cora's eyes widened slightly in shock as his lips brushed hers, she hadn't had a lot of time for...things like this. Her father had her in a lab for most of her life and the rest she had be on missions. So needless to say, she had never had a boyfriend or anyone of that nature. So this was all new to her, but she found that she rather liked it. She moved closer to him, deepening their kiss, the taste of Grayson's lips were all that was on her mind. He was oddly perfect for her, it was strange that she could have found someone so like herself. Someone that understood what she had been through, and how she felt about it.

message 30: by [deleted user] (new)

Grayson beamed mentally as Cora deepened the kiss. Outside, the sun was sure to be shining as brightly as possible, opposed to it's normal gray and depressing state. His hands roamed up her face to cup Cora's face. He was enjoying the moment immensely, a feeling of right spreading through his body. He swore that they were made for each other, or that was just the feeling he was getting from their interlude. He pulled back just a bit and gazed into her eyes. "You, Cora, are perfect." Grayson whispered and brushed his thumb along her cheekbone. Opening up to her had been strangely easy and right now, he was more happy than he had ever been before.

Cora frowned slightly when he pulled away from her, but just looking at him had her smiling again. Who knew that she was the romantic type? Her brother, Ace, always teased her about growing old alone with fifty cats. She was allergic to cats, which he always conveniently forgot. Her smile grew at his words, she had never had anyone tell her she was perfect before. But if she had, she doubted that their words would have meant as much to her as Grayson's did. "I'm hardly perfect..." She started, "You're not so bad yourself, you know." She pulled him closer, bringing their lips back together.

message 32: by [deleted user] (new)

Grayson smiled against the kiss, and brought his hands to wrap around Cora's waist. Gently, he eased her back on the bed until he was lying on top of her. Even if she refused to admit it, Cora really was perfect to him. He was able to open up to her like no one before and he shifted so his weight wasn't on top of her. A shadow of doubt lay deep within his mind but he pushed it away without hesitation. The moment he was in was too great to be ruined.

Cora's heart was hammering in her chest as she was lowered back onto her bed, she moved her hands up running them through Grayson's hair. She felt herself start to panic, as if her body was warning her that her walls were coming down. But she forced herself to calm down, she didn't care, she trusted him. That was surprising for her, since anyone that she had ever trusted before, besides Ace had betrayed her. Or used her in some way like her father. Grayson wasn't like that though, Cora knew he wasn't. Grayson and her were they practically one in the same.

message 34: by [deleted user] (new)

Grayson felt Cora slightly stiffen beneath him and his eyes gazed worriedly into hers. "Are you okay? Are we going to fast?" His eyebrows furrowed and he gently eased off her, holding himself above her body by his hands. Grayson's eyes searched hers for a sign that he had hurt her, or bad memories were appearing. He needed her to know that he will protect her, with his life if he has to. He won't end up like her family or anyone else that betrayed her in the end.

"No, no! I'm fine, I'm sorry..." Her face heated up and she cleared her throat quietly, "I'm not very experienced in this area," Cora laughed softly to ease the awkwardness that was in their conversation now. She sighed pushing herself up on her elbows to place a soft kiss on his lips, "I'm sorry I worried you, I'm fine, I promise." Cora could tell from the emotions she could see plainly running through his eyes that she was right. Grayson was different and she could trust him. She felt herself relax considerably, and beamed up at him. She wrapped her arms around him, pulling him closer to her, and nuzzled the side of his neck, "I trust you..." Her words were almost silent, she wasn't sure if he had heard her or not.

message 36: by [deleted user] (new)

Grayson smiled gently, pressing a light kiss to her nose. "Okay," He said simply and barely heard the words she mumbled into his neck. He flopped onto his side, gathering Cora's form into his arms. She fitted in his embrace like she was meant for him, and Gray pressed his lips to the crown of her head. Cora was a beautiful girl, inside and out and he was just thinking of how lucky he had been to find her before another guy. With one arm tucked under head and the other wrapped around her waist, Grayson brought her a bit closer to him. Now that he had her in his grasp, he was never going to let go.

Cora playfully bit at him as Grayson softly kissed the tip of her nose, giving him a mock frown when he stopped kissing her lips. When Grayson rolled to his side bringing her along with him she laughed, his hand had grazed the spot on her side where she was extremely ticklish. This had gone better than she planned, she had though coming to the Enigma HQ would be horrible. Especially since Ace was here and he hadn't seen her since she killed Axel. They hadn't spoken since then..and she hated it, but what could she do? He refused to see her, and she wasn't going to force him to. It was then that she realized how truly alone she was, Grayson was the first person she had actually spoken to in weeks. She turned over in his arms so that she was facing him, he was perfect, she was glad that he seemed to like her as much as she liked him. She had heard about all the girls that were chasing him, and quite frankly it worried her a bit. They weren't dating or anything, so it's not like Grayson couldn't consider his options...though the thought made her sick.

message 38: by [deleted user] (new)

Grayson beamed as Cora flipped in his arms, their faces inches apart. Not that he had any issues with that. A clouded look passed over Cora's eyes that only appeared when in thought and Gray allowed his fingers to drift over her back. "What are you thinking about, love?" He asked, the words coming out completely natural. He wasn't sure about love, but this girl was definitely special to him. Cora was perfect, even if she refused to admit it. With the other hand, Grayson twirled a piece of her silky hair around his finger and gazed into her aquamarine eyes.

Cora was surprised at his use of the word love, at first. Then she realized he was using it as a term of endearment, like honey or dear...something to that effect. Which she was okay with, she liked Grayson...more than she cared to admit, but she wasn't sure if it was love just yet. Besides, they had just met...and Cora had ever been one to believe in love at first sight. She chewed on her lip as she pondered how to go about telling him what was on her mind, it wasn't something she just wanted to bring up. "Don't you wish you could read minds?" She told him cheekily, placing a quick kiss on his cheek.

message 40: by [deleted user] (new)

Grayson noticed that she avoided the question but he laughed it off, knowing that guarding your thoughts and emotions was a hard habit to rid of. "A girl here actually can. It's her mutation, she can read and manipulate minds." Grayson chuckled, shifting so him and Cora were face to face. Her lovely blue eyes blinked at him, and he pulled her a little closer to his body. Gray wasn't completely sure if he was going to fast, but if Cora said he was he would stop and take it slow.

Cora sighed when she noticed that Grayson hadn't exactly fallen for her topic change attempt, he was merely humoring her. She hadn't really expected it to work, as it wouldn't have worked on her, because they were both good at putting on a brave face. With families like theirs, how could they not! She wondered if Grayson knew that she killed Axel, most people didn't...the other criminals, yes he probably did. Because everyone else did...but Enigma wanted to keep Axel a secret. "I was thinking about my brother, Ace." Sure, it wasn't the whole truth, but it was a start. "We haven't talked much since Axel...died. Ace blames me for his death..." She trailed off unwilling to tell Grayson what she had done. She felt that it would make him think less of her...or even push him away for good.

message 42: by [deleted user] (new)

"Then Ace is an idiot and doesn't know what is important to him," Grayson stated passionately, no room in his voice for doubt. He felt deeply for Cora, and if her brother was bothering her, he wouldn't hesitate to knock some sense into him. Though he wasn't sure how Cora would enjoy that idea. She seemed like the kind of person who was completely loyal, especially through blood. He pondered a little on the mystery of Axel's death but dismissed the thought. He had been told he had been killed, but not by who but he didn't linger on the thought any longer.

Cora bit down on her lip hard, so harshly in fact, she was sure that she drew blood. Grayson's faith in her was wonderful...besides the fact that it made her feel horrible. Guilty. It was the worst feeling in the world, she hated it. She looked over at him, her aquamarine orbs filled to the brim with sorrow. "No...he's not. He blames me because it was my fault..." She ground her teeth forcing herself to tell him, she couldn't stand deceit and didn't want to do that to Grayson. "I killed him." The words felt like acid coming from her mouth, "I didn't have a choice...he was about to kill Ace...I just reacted." She closed her eyes, not wanting to see the look on Grayson's face as he processed what she had told him.

message 44: by [deleted user] (new)

Grayson at first didn't know how to react. He was generally an accepting person and he couldn't judge Cora as he had had a similar experience before. Swallowing, he laid the hand that was previously on her waist on her face, gently brushing his thumb across her prominent cheekbone. "I believe you," he murmured, kissing her gently on the lips. He would accept Cora for whoever she was and at the moment Gray had a pretty good idea. She was a broken, misunderstood girl who he had deep feelings for and would protect with his life. He tugged the beautiful girl closer to him, letting her empty her hidden emotions onto him.

Cora's eyes were shut tight, she was waiting for him to react, and she assumed it woud be badly. Why wouldn't he? What kind of person murders their own brother? Cora could barely remember it, she and Ace had been sent on a mission to stop a minor criminal...she couldn't remember which one or why. She could only recall seeing Axel, she had been so surprised because they hadn't found a trace of him in over a year. He was so dark...so cold, he hadn't even recognized them. He went after Ace startled by the way they looked like each other. Things got really fuzzy after that...Grayson's hand brushing her cheek caused her eyes to flutter open. Her dark memory erased by the sweet sound of his words, she couldn't believe it. He was...beyond words, she didn't deserve him not in the least bit. She allowed him to pull her closer and she snuggled into his chest, enjoying the comfort she felt in his arms.

As Cora buried her head in his chest, Grayson stroked her brown locks. This is what it felt like to be loved, and Grayson was enjoying it immensely. He was happy she had decided to open up to him, because he knew how difficult it was to trust someone after all these years of rejection. He knew he would protect Cora to his last breath, and with those words, he pressed a soft kiss to the crown of her head. Nothing would harm her now that he was there to protect her.

Cora sighed in contentment, being in his arms made her feel safe....it was a feeling that she wasn't used to. She was always used to protecting herself, she had learned from a young age that she could only depend on herself for anything. Grayson was making her rethink that however, she looked up at him, it was hard for her to believe he was real. She was afraid that she was dreaming and would wake up in her father's lab, or something horrid like that. She pressed her lips to his, enjoying the way they seemed to fit each other perfectly.

"Are you tired? Do you want me to sleep here with you?" He asked, looking down into Cora's beautiful eyes. He did like the sound of sleeping with her in his arms, but if she didn't want him to then he would leave her be. The hand that had been cupping her cheek was now brushing up and down her arm. Grayson couldn't help it; he wanted everyone to know she was his. He mentally scolded himself. Cora wasn't his... yet.
