Heroes and Heroines you don't like
Wow...it's very rare for me to come across main characters that I don't like. The only one that I truly don't like is Chelsea from
. She just got on my nerves. She made it difficult for me to read the book and actually made me question why the hero is in love with her.
I actually didn't have a problem with Bella and Edward as characters per se. It's more of the actor and actress themselves that was more of a problem for me. I just think Stewart and Pattinson ruined them, especially Stewart.
I forget his name but the hero from
was kind of annoying for me. he was sweet and not awful, but he wasn't very hero like and was really indecisive and complained a bit too much. :P I cant really think of any other but I know there are more.... will be thinking...

HAHA really, Nicole? like I said, he was sweet and he grows on you but he just wasnt my type. ;)

Soph wrote: "Really? Did not you think she matured through the story?"I think she realized her mistakes,(only when she was found out by the guy she thinks she loves) but, do I think she would make them again? Probably. I don't know. I just don't like people in books that aren't logical. The leading male role in the book was pretty much just as silly for picking her. I thought, "Birds of a feather flock together!" LOL! Maybe I was just in a "mood" when I read it, but I thought that it was not up to Jane Austen's standard.
Oh :( I enjoyed it quite a lot.
I see a little bit where you come from but, don't completely agree! But, fair enough, each to their own opinion! :)

Yes, to each his own! :D I love her other books, but that one just didn't click with me. I am glad you enjoyed it though! :)
That's a hard question! I'm not sure. I really enjoyed reading Mansfield Park, because I had never seen a movie about it at the time and it was nice to not know what was going to happen and how it would end! I had never seen Northanger Abbey either. I like Persuasion, and I really enjoyed Sense and Sensibility because there was so much more to the story than had been in the Emma Thomson/Kate Winslett version. Pride and Prejudice (1995) I had watched alot, so the book was a little bit like reading the movie script. I think I liked reading Mansfield Park the best, but I like watching the newest Emma BBC, the best! :)
Mansfield Park is my least favourite book. I agree about the Emma version! And Persuasion is great. I love pride and prejudice!
Ahaha!! You got that right!
I won't get into an argume... I mean, discussion about it, but I will say Darcy is not perfect ;) he has his faults. Pride being the main one :P hence the title!!

Least favourite.... *takes a few deep breaths* you are killing me!
Why did you say Darcy was perfect then?! *huff!*
YOU ARE WRONG!!
(;))

No no NO!! :O
I can't bare this any longer!!
(Ironic - watching pride and prejudice right at this very moment!!)
End of conversation!

Stupid auto correct!! I typed that, well aimed to, but clearly i didn't .... I must have typed it wrong... Rather wrong!
Ysa!! I am typing this on my iPod hence the mistakes! And the entire sentence not making much sense is your fault!! You are getting to me!!
Ysa wrote: "Yeah, I noticed. I've been laughing over this whole group! well duh. Pride for Darcy and Prejudice for Elizabeth. My two least favorite characters in the world...... hey, does anyone agree with m..."
Are u insulting Darcy?? *tear*
Wait *SOBS*
Soph wrote: "Ysa!! I am typing this on my iPod hence the mistakes! And the entire sentence not making much sense is your fault!! You are getting to me!!"I feel you Soph dear
Soph wrote: "I am such an easy target! WHY DO I LET MYSELF FALL INTO THESE TEASING TRAPS!"Aw poor girl. Hugs
Darcy's alright. He's a good character, but I don't understand why everyone (excluding Ysa) LOVES him
Ysa wrote: "♥Caro♥ wrote: "Well your opinion I personally adore him"Yeah. I love being unique. Just about everyone else adores Darcy. It's crazy, if you don't mind my saying so."
Well unique? Okay I hate Harry potter the hunger games and twilight. I'm not a cliche person
I love pride and prejudice even though Darcy isn't my FAVORITE Austen hero. everyone is permitted their own opinion, ladies, no heated discussion, please. ;) lol even though I have a feeling *most* of this is sarcastic.

I am much more of an Elizabeth Gaskell fan than J.A. I also love E.D.E.N. Southworth 's novels. I like a little more suspense, but I enjoy J.A. too!
Yea, I LOVE Elizabeth Gaskell just as much if not more than JA. I need to read more of Southworth's work.
Urg I don't remember all of them but I think one of them is Kim, one of the many Stephanies... you'll have to look at past convos but I distinctly remember at LEAST 3. ;)
