Alannah strode into the library, A Tale of Two Cities in the crook of her arm. The library wasn't really her scene, but people can surprise you. Allie had recently discovered what reading really meant, and was starting to enjoy it immensely. Her brown hair was floating down her back, her fringe clipped up with a pin. Blowing a strand from her face, Alannah took a seat in a comfy sofa chair and opened the book, green eyes scanning the words.

☯ ƒ ι η η у ☯ | 78 comments Beau walked through the library, skimming the rows upon rows of books. Many books didn't interest him, well unless they were on art or photography. He wasn't looking for anything in particular, yet , every time he found a book on art he would pull it out.He was carrying a couple books now so he sat down in a chair.Beau didn't mind anybody that was around him,and he was sure that many girls wouldn't bother him.He knew he had to get over the fear of himself and girls. He knew that the death was a freak accident, but sometimes he felt quite guilty for it. As if he caused it.So,that is why Beau doesn't like to hang around girls much.He will have girl friends, but not girlfriends...Beau's not quite ready for that yet.

Comically, Allie's eyes rose above her book, following the male figure over to a chair opposite herself. "What are you doing here?" She asked. Nobody ever came to the library- it was her sanctuary, the only place she could be alone. Not that Allie didn't mind sharing but the handsome boy in front of her brought out the inquisitive side of her traits. Because Alannah had been hidden from society for most of her life, she had next to nothing in the romance department. But hey, it didn't mean she was blind.

☯ ƒ ι η η у ☯ | 78 comments Beau looked up and saw a girl across from him.He cleared his throat slightly, his discomfort entering and any peace he had left his body. "I'm doing what it looks like I'm doing.Reading." He replied. He didn't intend on being rude or such, actually quite the opposite.Beau was trying to be nice, but sometimes the things he intended to say came out wrong.

message 6: by [deleted user] (new)

"But why?" She inquired. Allie had come here every day for the past seven years and only a few strangers had passed through. Never ones as good looking as him though. Even though Alannah was focused on his answer, she could sense his discomfort. Slowly she leaned back. Around her people acted like that, she didn't know why but most of them did. Maybe it was because of her fiery personality, or the fact that she asked too many questions. Lowering her eyes back to the book, she tucked a loose piece of hair behind her ear bashfully.

☯ ƒ ι η η у ☯ | 78 comments "I want to read.If there is a problem I can move..."Beau replied, his voice trailing off.His shyness was becoming a really bad habit.Beau picked up his books and began to shuffle out of his seat.It seemed as if the girl didn't want him there, and he didn't want to bother her.She was probably doing something important, something he shouldn't interfere with.Plus,it would be better for him to move anyways. Now that he knew she was there,he would feel quite anxious and scared. He moved a few chairs down, though not too far.

message 8: by [deleted user] (new)

"There wasn't a problem..." Alannah trailed off but felt slightly ashamed when the boy moved a few chairs down. A little blush creeped up her neck, but she pushed it down, scolding herself for her curiosity. Allie returned to her book but found she could no longer focus on the words. Sighing, she arose from her seat and moved to the one right next to the boy. "I'm sorry- there wasn't a problem, I'm just not used to people coming in here." She amended, eyes showing a little flame inside of the green irises. Alannah would apologise, but begging was out of the question.

☯ ƒ ι η η у ☯ | 78 comments Beau jumped slightly. He did't expect the girl to come near him.She was so close..He hadn't been near a girl ever since last year.He cleared his throat,a horrid habit, before speaking "Thats quite fine.Im sorry if I interrupted you in any way."He said in a soft voice.Beau has changed radically ever since the crash,so instead of being happy and cheery,he was more sad and devastated, well, in front of girls anyways. He was fine around guys.

message 10: by [deleted user] (new)

Alannah smiled softly as the guy jumped slightly and sheltered his eyes from her. She was restraining her fiery personality because he seemed shy, and broken. "I'm Alannah." She smiled and leaned back in her chair so she was distancing herself from him. The guy seemed like he would run at any second, but Allie wanted to get to know him.

☯ ƒ ι η η у ☯ | 78 comments "Beau.Like the one you wear in your hair."He said shyly. He didn't understand why this girl was so persistent. She seemed to want to get to know him, like every other girl, but she didn't run away when he moved. Most girls got the hint and just left him alone, but this girl was different.

message 12: by [deleted user] (new)

"That's cute." She smiled. Other girls probably would have giggled like idiots, but Alannah isn't like other girls. Beau's shy expression just made her want to cuddle him like a teddy bear, but it would obviously freak him out.
"How long have you been at the academy?" She asked, wondering why she hadn't seen him before. Allie knows the school grounds like the back of her hand.

☯ ƒ ι η η у ☯ | 78 comments "A few months at most"He replied. He didn't even answer to the remark about his name being cute. His girlfriend used to say the same thing.Inside he was dying, memories had begun to flood his mind. All the good times they had.All the memories they made. They were so bitter-sweet in his opinion.

message 14: by [deleted user] (new)

Alannah nodded, studying his expressions and saw pain, hurt and a broken heart lying underneath the façade. "Why are you in so much pain?" She asked softly, unable to stop her curiosity from surfacing. She damned her stupid inquisitive traits and all the harm it brings with. She ducked her head and studied her fingernails, knowing she shouldn't have asked that question.

☯ ƒ ι η η у ☯ | 78 comments Beau stiffened when she asked that.He was rigid, unable to speak.Nobody had ever asked him that. They just assumed it was pretty bad and moved along with their lives. He regained his composure and he cleared his throat. "My girlfriend died in a car crash last year."Beau replied, void of emotion. He was trying so hard so that his voice wouldn't tremble. He had never said it out loud.Beau had always kept everything in his head.

message 16: by [deleted user] (new)

Alannah's head whipped up when he said those words. She didn't know how he felt, but it must be awful. Not knowing what else to do, she slipped her hand into his and held it there. He needed comfort, from what Allie had witnessed. "I don't know what it's like to lose someone, but I know what it's like to have lost." She said. Sometimes when Alannah became nervous or frustrated, her brain went into quote mode and everything that came out of her mouth sounded like a riddle.

☯ ƒ ι η η у ☯ | 78 comments When she slipped her hand into his,her stiffened even more,if that was even possible. He slowly took his hand back.He disliked sympathy, mostly because it was a load of bull.Nobody knew how he felt.Yet,they acted like they did.He stood, picking up his books before saying "Im sorry. But I must get going."Before walking away, towards the check out station.

message 18: by [deleted user] (new)

Alannah watched him leave, heart heavy. She disliked that she could never do the right thing, never make someone happy. She guessed it was one of the reasons her parents left her. Breathing heavily, she reopened her book and read, trying to relate to the characters in the book.

soleil (solxilx) (She's wearing: (view spoiler))

Jessi walked slowly into the library and sat down. She had no idea what else to do, anyway.

message 23: by [deleted user] (new)

Alannah sighed as another person walked in and sat opposite her. She hoped it wasn't a guy again- we didn't want her rejected twice today. Peering over her book, she was pleasantly surprised to see a girl sitting before her. Dressed in a hipster/nerd kind of way, but it suited her polychromatic hair which was shades of blue, purple and pink creating one blast of colour.

message 24: by soleil (new)

soleil (solxilx) Jessi noticed the girl peering over her book to look at her. She tried not to laugh. The little bit of head she could see peeping over the book looked hilarious. "Hi!" She said in an upbeat way, trying not to be too loud. It's a library, She reminded herself.

message 25: by [deleted user] (new)

"Hey." Alannah grinned, dog-earring the page she was on and placing it on her lap. The girl seemed friendly enough, and Allie needed some friends. "Something tells me you're not in the library for books." She teased, folding her legs under her.

message 26: by soleil (new)

soleil (solxilx) "No." She admitted. "Not really. Just well, looking for someone to talk to. Have I found someone to talk to?" She pretended to look confused and laughed, then stopped. Laughing at herself might make her seem self centred.

message 27: by [deleted user] (new)

"Yes, I think you have." Alannah beamed at the girl, liking her attitude already. It was a rare thing to impress Allie the first time you meet her, but this girl was succeeding.

Alannah unfolded her legs and crossed one over the other, a habitual she usually does when she's sitting down.

message 28: by [deleted user] (new)

(I'm so bored, can I join?)

message 29: by [deleted user] (new)

((Of course:))

message 30: by [deleted user] (new)

Sierra strode into the library as if it was hers. She smirked at Alannah and Jessi and she strode past them, making her hard to ignore. Even her skin seemed to glow as it basked in the light, it shone and made her look like an angel. Just that her arrogance didn't make her one.

message 31: by [deleted user] (new)

Alannah glared disapprovingly at Sierra. She had known the stuck up girl for a while, and it was an acquaintance that she did not have the pleasure of having. Sierra was deceiving, mean and outright b*itchy. Pursing her lips, Allie turned back to Jessi with a roll of her eyes. She hoped that Jessi had enough sense to avoid and ignore Sierra at all costs.

message 32: by [deleted user] (new)

"So, Alannah in the library, I knew you were a total geek. You just had to prove it, didn't you?" Sierra sneered, unable to contain her snide nature. She smirked once more and leaned against the bookshelves, watching Alannah like a vulture waiting for its prey to be killed and left alone .

message 33: by [deleted user] (new)

"You mean like proving you're a stuck up snob who is obviously in the library to pick on others? Relax, it's been scientifically proven." Alannah snapped and ran a hand through her silky hair.

Sierra got on her nerves, and at some point she knew that she was going to blow. When the b*tch was around, Alannah's already slight temper shortened next to nothing in her presence.

message 34: by [deleted user] (new)

"Oh, that's great! I can't believe you actually know how to use the word 'scientifically'!" Sierra clapped her hands in sarcasm. "But, apparently, you're wrong. And you don't need to worry about being the only one who could possibly get that wrong, since it's 'scientifically' proven, Science is wrong, too. I'm here to do some research on my ancestor and picking on you lowly-life-bugs is just my hobby. Deal with it, Alannah." Sierra gave her a snobbish smile and turned on her heel to the 'History' section, sashaying all the way there.

message 35: by [deleted user] (new)

Alannah had to bite her lip very hard to prevent any more words coming out of her mouth. Sierra was an outright snob- she thinks she is better than every other person out there. As Archimedes' descendant, Allie had carried some of the family genes- the intelligent ones. She had top grades in every subject, including theatre. Going so low to insult her intelligence was simply saddening.

message 36: by [deleted user] (new)

((Sorry gtg now...))

message 37: by [deleted user] (new)

((Bye bye:))

message 38: by soleil (new)

soleil (solxilx) Jessi was watching the whole thing calmly, but enough was enough. She could see Alannah was hurt. "I'll be back." She said to Alannah, and then she walked over to Sierra. "Who do you think you are?! I don't even know her-" She motioned to Alannah-"name, but no one, no one deserves to be treated like that." Her face was calm, and she was trying to be nice to this girl, but inside she was fuming.

message 39: by [deleted user] (last edited Jun 01, 2013 02:37AM) (new)

((Alannah wasn't hurt, she was just pissed:P And Alessia is off, so theres no point in talking to her charrie at the moment))

message 40: by soleil (new)

soleil (solxilx) ((I know she's off, and oh.))

Jessi walked back to Alannah. "Uh..well...sorry 'bout that. Um..well, as a kid, I got bullied. Now, I hate it when people bully one another. I'm Jessi, by the way. Great times..well, something granddaughter of Romulus and Remus."

message 41: by [deleted user] (new)

"Alannah, descendant of Archimedes." She smiled, empathizing with Jessi when she said she got bullied. Alannah had never been around kids to get bullied.

"Don't worry about Sierra, us fighting is kind of a regular thing." She assured, shaking Jessi's hand.

message 42: by soleil (last edited Jun 01, 2013 04:11AM) (new)

soleil (solxilx) "Regular? That's...not very good. And Archimedes is cool." She smiled "So...what are you into?" Jessi facedpalmed herself in her head. 'What are you into?' What was I thinking of?

message 43: by [deleted user] (new)

Allie chuckled as Jessi literally face palmed herself. "I enjoy reading and solving equations. I'm weird like that." She joked, thumbing the rough material of the book.

message 44: by soleil (new)

soleil (solxilx) ("In her head", but whatever)

"Nahh, no one's weird. Everone's different in their own way. Take me, for instance. I have this-" She picked up a strand of her hair, "-and I like bowties and disney movies. I like reading, too. Solving equations, not so much, but I don't mine it." She grinned and bit her nail on her pinkie.

message 45: by [deleted user] (new)

((My bad, I thought you meant literally like I hit myself in my head:P))

"I think your hair is pretty cool,"Allie commented genuinely. It was a unique look, but suited the bubbly girl. "And Disney movies are epic." She gave Jessi a thumbs up, typical Alannah.

message 46: by [deleted user] (new)

Sierra raised her eyebrow and watched Jessi leave. "That was just weird..." she muttered to herself before rolling her eyes and turning back to the books. She knew Alannah, didn't she mention her name? Okay, whatever. These people...they're just weird, she told herself.

message 47: by soleil (new)

soleil (solxilx) "You're really nice, you know. You seriously don't deserve to be treated like she treated you. And I'm not just complementing you for the sake of it. To quote you-" She gave Alannah a thumbs up and laughed.

message 48: by [deleted user] (new)

"Don't worry, I stick up for myself." Alannah said and giggled when Jessi 'quoted' her. Standing, Allie shut her novel fully and gestured for Jessi to follow. She walked to the checkout counter, handing her book to the librarian patiently. When she finished, Allie took the book and shoved it into the crook of her arm.

message 49: by soleil (last edited Jun 01, 2013 05:38AM) (new)

soleil (solxilx) Jesii (view spoiler) followed Alannah. "I don't doubt that." She flipped her hair back out of her eyes and straightened her already perfectly straight bow tie.

soleil (solxilx) (um,hello?)
