Q&A with Christine Amsden discussion

Okay, so let me ask those of you who have read the first book a question. After perusing a couple dozen reviews I sometimes find myself wondering what readers are expecting from the rest of the series. I know where I'm going, but I am curious to know where everyone else thinks I'm going. Or maybe... where you hope I'm going. :)

I'm a bit worried about the love story, really. I like Cassie's independance, I wonder what she is to become (view spoiler)[now that Evan has so much power on her (hide spoiler)].

Seriously, that's the central conflict in most of book 2.

Series Teaser (spoiler tags in case you don't want to see it) (view spoiler)[I don't believe that people can truly be happy in a relationship until they are happy with themselves. That's a big part of the reason why there are four books in the series. The other reason is that Cassie isn't the only one who needs to grow up a bit. :) (hide spoiler)]

I am hoping that things with Cassie & Ethan work out in a natural way and not because he has "power" over her. I also hope that her parents take her back into the family.

I'm wondering if Cassie does have some secret magic that just hasn't been discovered yet and if being around Ethan will help these powers come about.
