A Book Group discussion

My biggest idol is still *success* in ministry versus faithfulness in ministry.

We just finished a great study on idols, "Idol Lies." The new Kyle Idleman book is along the same lines, "Gods at War." I think it is really worthwhile to examine what our idols really are and begins to break them down. After studying that series, I know I have idols in the areas of control, perfectionism, and discontent.
An idol of pride might really be about control. It is so hard for me to relinquish complete control to God in my life.
