Hard to guess the genre of this one

I hesitated between 2 and 3 stars. Is this Christian fiction, science fiction, fantasy or what? I don't think it knows itself, and that led to many problems with plot. Character development was flat. And why do we care about them? We don't really know who they are. They burst upon the scene in fragments, utter nonsensical lines and then the reader is off to somewhere else, trying desperately to piece together what just happened.
