The Borrowers series by Mary Norton was a staple in my childhood, and has become one for my children. I don't think it's neccesary to discuss each book seprately, but who didn't fall in love with these little sweeties?

I don't know that we ever had a t.v. series here in America. Maybe I just missed it. There was a movie with John Goodman, but I found it very disapointing.Cousin Dinky, with his aeroplane, was my favorite character. I htink they spelled it that funny way, too!

The boy who plays Draco Malfoy was also in the movie Anna and the King... it is when I fell in love with him. As he has grown older, he is not so cute anymore...
Anyway, I didn't know that the Borrowers was a book as well. I saw the movie though and it was good.
Another book I forgot I read a LONG time ago!! haha I loved this book growing up.
It's an entire series of books. I mean there may well be 20 or so. I'm not sure, but will try to find out. I know we have quite a few of them at home, but not all.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Borr...Okay, seems there are only 5, but there is also a series called the Littles much along the same lines. I think I was meshing the two series.
I've read four of them - never even heard of The Borrowers Avenged, for that matter. My favorite is the first.
These are on my childhood favorites shelf here on GR, but I honestly can't remember a whole lot about them. I may need to re-read them sometime, because I know I did absolutely them.
If you like The Borrowers, you might like Little (Grrl) Lost (Newford Book 20). I adore this author, but I'm actually not crazy about his attempts at YA. But the story is something like The Borrowers with the little people living in the walls, but it's much more modern. This would probably be classified as more urban fantasy. This isn't one of my personal favorites, but it's good enough that I thought I would throw it out there.
