This is pretty neat, if you can't quite remember the name of that book someone recommended to you. However, though I knew I could do it with my bookshelves, I didn't know if I could with someone else's. But I can!

Go into a GRs Friend's bookshelf and select shelf settings and click on "recommender."

This list can also be sorted reverse-alphabetically so that the books with no recommender can be listed last.

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 15159 comments Hanna, I really like anything by Jack Kornfield, especially After the Ecstasy, the Laundry How the Heart Grows Wise on the Spiritual Path by Jack Kornfield and A Path with Heart A Guide Through the Perils and Promises of Spiritual Life by Jack Kornfield .

Shadow Jubilee (uhqs) I have the second book although I haven't read it myself - yet.

I have not read the following books either but they are on my TBR shelf and I thought that they might be in the same vein as the books you posted or something that might interest your mother:

Twelve Steps to a Compassionate Life

Little Princes: One Man's Promise to Bring Home the Lost Children of Nepal

The Youngest Light: A Journey Back to the Self

Ask Me Why I Hurt: The Kids Nobody Wants and the Doctor Who Heals Them

This Is a Soul: The Mission of Rick Hodes

The Last Lecture

Tuesdays With Morrie <-- I'd read this years ago. I thought it was interesting at the time. I don't really recall much now though.

I also partially read Beyond Religion: Ethics for a Whole World which I thought was interesting. I put it down because I was listening to an audiobook, and I felt it was a bit too dense for me to listen as an audiobook. I'm hoping to pick it up again when I can get a paperback for myself.
