Sebastian walked into the library honestly he didn't want to be here, but he had a report for his college history class due. Sebastian's grades were important to him...okay more his dad than himself, but if he wanted to be a successful surgeon like his father he needed to grades to match. Finding a quiet place he pulled out his laptop and his text books and began on his research. Hopefully this wouldn't take all night, currently Sebastian didn't have any plans...but that didn't mean that he wanted to stay in the library for the remainder of the day.
Bee hurried into the library, clearly in a turmoil as she did so. Her satchel was slung carelessly over one shoulder and her hair was thrown up messily, strands sticking out every which where. Her bright blue eyes were wide as she tucked the stray locks behind her ears, breathing in a few times to calm herself. "I'm so glad you got here in time." the voice sounded to the left of her and Beatrice found herself turning to look up at her fellow workmate. "Its no worry, I mean, no worry at all, honestly Davy." She replied, plastering that happy smile onto her face, the one that was always there. "Well, I better get going, thanks again Bee, I owe you one. I'll fill you in on how it goes!" He called as she watched him slip into his jacket, his footsteps residing leaving the small teen seemingly alone in the place. With a sigh, Bee slipped her coat off, folding it over her forearm and making her way over to the desk, dropping her satchel behind the desk and slinging the coat across the back of the chair. She would often fill in for people, like she was now, sure, the extra cash was nice. But having people thank her, making people happy was all the more important. Bee was under the impression she was currently alone in the library, so wasn't about to stop herself from letting a little hum emit from her throat as she went around idly tidying up a few books.
Sebastian had been hard at work on his paper, he had now been writing it for three hours. It wasn't even half-way done yet. He rubbed his temples with his fingers, the screen was starting to mock him. His report wasn't actually due for another week, but he wanted to get in done today. Sebastian couldn't think of anything else to write, he had already found all of the material that this library had to offer on the subject. Everything. Well, he thought anyways...perhaps he could have missed something? The librarian would know for sure...that decided it for him. He rose from his chair in search of the guy that he had seen earlier. Walking up to the desk, Sebastian didn't see him anywhere...where could he be? He heard a faint sound and strolled towards it, maybe it was the guy? No. That definitely wasn't a male that he had just stumbled upon, she was clearly a female. One with a lovely voice apparently. Maybe she would know where the librarian went? He cleared his throat to alert her to his presence not wanting to startle her, "Excuse me? Do you happen to know where the librarian happened off to?" Sebastian gave her a dazzling smile.
Bee had settled herself into the spinny chair, and after spinning herself around a few times(Come on, it was like the law to do so.) she had finally settled herself down and had grabbed for her bag, resting it on the desk whilst she rummaged around in it for a good few minutes before finally retrieving her current reading book and placing it down on the wooden surface, returning the bag to its original spot under the desk and flicking to the current page in the book, still humming to herself whilst doing so. That was, before she began reading, by which time she was already fully engrossed into the novel. So when somebody cleared their throat to announce their presence she was more than surprised, her eyes flying up from the book and to the stranger. Correction. Extremely handsome stranger. Oh geez. An extremely handsome stranger with a flawless smile. Bee was already like a puddle on the floor by this time. It took her a few moments to actually get her brain in gear and reply, by which time her ivory skin had already began to heat and turn her cheeks a russet colour. "L-librarian. Oh D-Darren. His sisters having a baby, I'm stepping in for him. So uh...I-Is there something I could help you w-with?" Oh just fantastic, now she had turned into a stuttering, blathering idiot. Perfect. Just damn perfect Bee.
Jack Birge walked into the large library, his boots clicked on the wooden floor as he made his way towards a staircase. Jack could have navigated the library with his eyes closed, he loved this building more than he loved the smell of hay. That was saying something for a farmboy. Jack was wearing worn out jeans, his boots, a freshly laundered, white button up shirt, with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, and suspenders. His eyes were bright, and his hair still glistened from the shower he had recently taken. He had finished his last stack of books and decided to return them to get a fresh stack. He made his way to the Historical Fiction section. A smile reached his lips as his hands touched the bindings of old books, books so loved that their pages were worn and thin. The smell tingled his senses, one could sometimes catch Jack with a book open, and to his nose as he inhaled its scent. Jack stopped when his fingers touched a book that intrigued him. Into The Wilderness. He pulled the book off of the dusty shelf and turned it over to read the summary on the back. After he was done skimming it over he decided that would be one of many books he would be checking out.
Jonas picked a few more, then made his way back downstairs, he waved at a couple of people that were friends with his grandparents. He went up to the library clerk and set his card and the books on top of the counter so that he could get checked out. Once everything was settled Jonas took each book and carefully put them in his messenger bag, which he slung across his chest afterwards. He gave the woman a heart warming smile and walked out of the library. He deposited his bag in his work truck and then headed down the street to find something to eat. Jonas' stomach was rumbling and demanding that he get something to eat soon. He wasn't surprised with all of the work he had gotten done that morning. His muscles were already screaming at him for overdoing it.
Kyra giggles softly as she flips through the pages of a comic joke book, she was curled up in a chair near the pack of the room, her long red hair cascaded down loosly around her shoulders. the pale green blouse crinkled at the bottom, her pink skinny jeans complimented the shirt very nicely.
Kenzi entered the library unhappily, she had to do a big project for school and was stuck having to go to the library on her own. Her best friend had agreed to babysit Trey and Travis, just to be sure the 15 year old couldn't use that excuse.
Kay looked up as she heard the door open to the library, she curiously slipped out of her chair and looked over curiously to the door noticing a girl come inside, she looked a bit unhappy. hmmm wonder whats up with her. she though to her self and watched her for a bit more. kyra never thought about staring be rude
Kenzi dropped onto a chair, she wasn't in the mood to actually look for the books needed. She was mostly wasting time, and getting free babysitting. The 15 year old's black mid back length hair falling over the back of the chair. She wore a back tank top, over red skinny jeans with her favourite knee high black heeled boots.
Kyra decided to go investigate. walking calmly over to the girl she tilted her head a tiny bit to the left." whats up miss grey cloud?" she asks in a cherry tone and takes a seat next to kenzi, turning her body so she faced the girl.
Kenzi looked at the person who spoke to her "The sky" She answered with a little smirk. Most of her friends had stopped asking her things with literal answers, as she always had a come back for them.
Kyra giggles and shakes her head." well well aren't you funny. are you doing okay? you seem a bit upset." she says scooting closer. with a after thought she adds" my name is Kyra by the way." she twirls a strand of hair between her finger and blinks looking Kenzie over.
"Kenzi" The black haired girl replied "And I'm supposed to be doing a school project, but I really don't feel like doing it" She answered, giving Kyra a smile to assure the girl she wasn't sad or upset.
Kyra nods" aha who does like doing school projects normally they suck." she says sighing." so do not do the project and do something fun with me. I know we will befriends I can tell. You are my first friend here." she says seriously and puts a hand on kenzi's knee. you should know Kyra is a hands on person.
Kenzi nodded, she was fine with ditching the library to go hang out with her new found friend, besides her best friend agreed to babysit as long as she needed for free. "Sounds fun" Kenzi said, thinking of some place fun they could go to.
Kyra smiles and claps " good okay where should we go miss Grey cloud." she asks giving Kenzi a nickname. she stands up ready to go into action. her eyes sparkle with amusement and excitement. her hair slipped down behind her and off her shoulders. Kyra smiles down at Kenzi and waits for her reply.
"Call me Kenzi please" Kenzzi replied, with a playful roll her eyes eyes. "My favourite place is this awesome cake shop"
Kyra stuck out her bottom lip in a cute pout." okay." she says huffing but a smile forms on her lips." Cake okay I like cake lets go!" she says grabbing her hand and pulling her to the door." we are so opposites that's why we attract. look at our clothes." she says laughing softly in amusment
Kenzi looked at the outfits, nodding a bit. She had to smile at the other females enthusiasm. She thought about her best friend Ana for a moment, they had always dressed similar so Kyra's dressing style was welcomed change. "Come on then Sunshine" Kenzi said, giving Kyra her own nickname.
Kyra burst out giggling." oh dear now you sound like my exboyfriend." she says shaking her head, she walks out the door inhaling the fresh air." I like the library smell better then fresh air." she comments looking back at the library then to Kenzi." so what way is it?" she asks quizzically.
Kenzi began walking, motioning for Kyra to follow her. "This way Sunny" She said, her heels clicking as she walked.
Kyra sighs." I do not mean to be picky but could you not call me that, my ex called me that and he just took my Vcard and left the next day sooo .. ya." she says frowning slightly at the thought of him. she put back on her smile and sped up a bit till she ws side by side with Kenzi." so how long have you lived here?" she asks curiously
Kenzi nodded, trying to come up with a new nickname for Kyra. "Since I was 8" Kenzi answered, giving Kyra a small smile. She thought of her sister for a second, before pushing the thoughts away, there was to much sadness there.
Kyra smiles. " lucky this seems like a cute place." she says looking round and smiles." do you like it here?" she asks curiously and scoots closer to let someone to pass by them, holding her hand tighter not wanting to get separated, she hated being alone or feeling lost.
Kenzi blushed lightly feeling Kyra hold her hand a bit tighter. "Its...Its different then what I was used to, but now its okay" She answered honestly. The black haired girl remembering when she used to live in Toronto, it felt like a lifetime ago to her.
Kyra smiles " same here it is so different, if you can tell from my accent I am from the states, I miss it a bit but I do like this city and I really like it since I already have my bosom friend!" she says joyfully at the end of her sentence and smiles at her." how much longer" she asks curiously.
"Its just up here" Kenzi said amused. "I grew up in Canada" She added, getting to the cake shop. ((To Its Merely a Matter of Cake))
Kenzi entered the library for the second time that day. She found the books needed and did her project easily, after going to one of the private rooms. Despite what most thought about the lithe girl, she was actually quite smart just never showed it to others and preferred to do her work in the quietness of the room. Her thoughts kept wandering back to Kyra, and each time, her stomach would flutter a bit.
(( when and were should they meet again?))
(( okay cool you post first please ))
