My Siaru is a little rusty...

Yes, it certainly would :) I remember spotting that one for the first time on my second reading... it's things like this that make rereading Rothfuss so much fun.
It's been too long since I last read the Kingkiller Chronicles... this reminds me I should get back to them sometime soon (but first it's time for The Ocean at the End of the Lane for me).
It's worth mentioning that the word "denna" is in the first chapter, though the meaning isn't as clear."Begone demon!" Kote said, switching to a thickly accented Temic through half a mouthful of stew. "Tehus antausa eha!"
Bast burst into startled laughter and made an obscene gesture with one hand.
Kote swallowed and changed languages. "Aroi te denna-leyan!"
Does Denna mean "Gone?" "Demon?"

"Do you know the saying 'Chan Vaen eden Kote'?"
I tried to puzzle it out. "Seven years... I don't know Kote"
"'Expect disaster every seven years,'" he said.
Like I said, my Siaru is rusty, but it would seem that Kvothe chose the Siaru word "disaster" for his new identity.
