Some people bring theirs from home, some people ride the horses the school provides.

♠▐ Cᴏʟᴅ Aɪʀ (somethingtoruminate) | 281 comments Loud, booming laughter was heard just outside of the stables. The voices were soon discernible as male; Anderson and his friends were talking about something funny. The sun was shining onto the moist, green grass and the sky was a cloud-free cerulean. A few trees here and there surrounded the structure concealing the horses from view; balancing out the strong rays of the sun with pleasant shade.

"Hey, A!" one of the males called out. "I dare you to ride backwards on one of these horses!" The one known as "A" responded, "Oh yeah? Fine. But only if you get up on one too and race me" A collective burst of laughter was emitted from each male's vocal chords, each figure finally coming into view. One stood out among the others; he was taller than the majority of them, with jet black hair, bright cerulean eyes, porcelain skin, and light freckles over the bridge of his nose.

Anderson picked out one of the school's black stallions, whilst his friend picked out a feisty beige mare. The two led the horses out and saddled them, exchanging witty remarks and chuckles all the while. One of the boys whipped out his phone, exclaiming, "Dudes, I've got to get this shit on tape. I bet A's gonna fall on his ass!" The rest laughed and copied the male; fishing out their mobile devices and preparing to record the whole testosterone-filled activity on camera.

((I'm a bit rusty, sorry for the crap post. :/))

Sybilla entered the stables as slightly as possible. She really didn't have to put that much effort in seeing as there was already a group of males occupying the area, making enough noise to agitate all the horses. She watched for a minute as one dared a friend of his to ride backwards, something rather dangerous for a beginner to attempt. Silently she prayed that the two knew what they were doing as she slipped into Symphony's stall. The horse immediately emitted a pleased neigh and nuzzled her slightly, to which Sybilla responded with a giggle and an elated smile. However, she did have to hush the mare slightly seeing as she wished to watch the boys in their activity, and the stall actually had a rather good view.

Although one of the boys momentarily glanced over at Symphony due to the mare's neigh, they otherwise didn't glance in Sybilla's direction. She doubted they would've cared if they did notice her, seeing as her reputation simply led people to avoid her, but still, she tried her best to remain quiet as she equipped the mare with her tack. Seeing as coming here was a spur of the moment decision, she herself though, wasn't as well prepared as Symphony. Rather, she was wearing the same dress she'd been wearing earlier, mostly red and black, inspired by the Victorian era, but with a more Goth twist. She did, though, have on a pair of slim black shorts underneath as to make it more comfortable.

(Oh, and in case you were wondering about the outfit, it's this one:

Anderson mock-glared at his friends, shouting back, "Oi! If anyone's gonna break their ass, it's Neil!" Neil, the one who dared Anderson in the first place scowled in the same mock-irratance as A. "We'll just have to see, jack-ass" Another round of laughter broke through the otherwise serene area; though luckily the horses weren't too agitated by the noise. Finally, the horses were saddled and ready to go.

Anderson swung his leg over the black stallion he had selected; with such grace and ease it was notable he was probably not a beginner. Neil, on the other hand, had a slightly harder time getting on. A faced himself towards the rear of the horse, grinning boyishly with excitement. In his blue plaid long-sleeve and fading blue jeans hoisted up by a leather belt, A's eyes seemed to pop even more against his thick black lashes. With a brief side-long glance to his friend, the two pressed their feet against the horses lightly.

The two graceful animals took of at a slightly speedy gallop; though not dangerously fast. Anderson and Neil went about 100 yards until Neil tumbled off onto the soft earth. The beige mare immediately stopped, and A brought his stallion to a stop. All of the males were laughing, some clutching their sides with tears streaming down their faces. Chuckling, A pulled Neil up and slapped him on the back. Neil was fine, laughing along with everyone else.

((This is basically his outfit, minus the bottom part: (view spoiler)))

Sybilla was noticeably relieved when she realized the boy wasn't injured. She also couldn't help but admire the other boy's skill. It took a certain kind of rider to pull off riding backwards that smoothly. Personally she wasn't sure, seeing as she'd never attempted such a thing. However, seeing as she'd been riding since she was a young girl, she assumed she wouldn't be too terrible, particularly on Symphony. She'd pretty much raised the mare herself, so they had a well-knit bond.

Seeing as the boys were pretty much enveloped in interacting with their group, Sybilla figured this was an opportune time as any to make a break for the door with Symphony. Of course, seeing as she didn't actually possess that much luck, as soon as she exited the stall she found herself confronted by the stares of a few of the boys. After all, even among those who knew not her name, Sybilla was notorious for only really being found in the dark corners of libraries, practice rooms, classrooms and the like. Still, eventually one of the guys caught himself and noticed that she was, in fact, on a team other than their own.

"There's no way Goth girl knows how to ride, let me take that horse off your hands," he jibbed, making a bit of a grab for the reins. Needless to say, the friesian didn't take kindly to this. She reared, knocking over the boy, with her hooves narrowly missing him as she landed back down. The other boys back away from the horse, specifically the one who had been knocked over. He quickly scurried back over to his group, muttering something about a 'demon mare'.

"Hush, Symphony, it is alright..." Sybilla attempted to calm the horse, who reluctantly stopped panicking. Still she eyed the group wearily as her owner stroked her. Sybilla wasn't exactly sure what to do now. There was no way Symphony would go back into her stall, but exiting the stable required traveling through the group. Hence, they were at a standstill.
(I hope you don't mind me also sort of roleplaying his friends, seeing as I'm pretty sure they're like NPCs, right?)

♠▐ Cᴏʟᴅ Aɪʀ (somethingtoruminate) | 281 comments ((Hah, that's fine ^_^))

Anderson rolled his eyes at his friend's comments. "C'mon, dude. Don't be an ass," The boy exhaled sharply, but quickly forgot the whole ordeal whence the others decided to hoist themselves upon the other horses and race. A rolled his eyes and laughed to himself, shaking his head. He glanced over at Sybilla before walking nonchalantly over to her.

"Sorry 'bout that... They're like that around members of other teams... I really just don't get it," A said sighing, scratching the back of his head. "I, ah... Hope he didn't offend you, or..." He jutted his chin towards Symphony "Agitate your horse too much," A flashed an apologetic smile before bringing the black stallion he had been riding over to Sybilla and her horse. "My name is Anderson... You know, the Dancer with the funny name," he flashed a goofy smile. "You can call me 'A', 'Andy', 'Ben', 'Benny', and even 'An', if that's what you're in to," Anderson said, patting the stallion's neck. "I think I might have seen you before, but I've stupidly forgotten your name,"

Avalon | 497 comments "No, I am used to that sort of treatment, and Symphony is simply antsy because I have not been able to properly take her out since she arrived here," Sybilla shook her head, obviously over the incident already. She hadn't forgotten it the way the boys had, but she'd filed it away into the corner of her mind where she kept such memories. When he introduced himself she realized that contrary to what she'd believed before, she had seen him around before, and that she knew his name to be Anderson-Benedict. However, she didn't see what was so weird about it. "It is a pleasure to truly meet you, Mister Anderson, I am Sybilla Gwenhwyvar Hyacinth Cecily Innogen Miracle Faye," she introduced herself with the slightest bit of a curtsy. It wasn't exactly the way the average high school student introduced themselves, but it was the way she always did.

After this it seemed that the stallion finally caught a whiff of the carrots Sybilla was currently keeping in her saddle bag and began to attempt to open it to get to them. The girl gently nudged his head away, and removed one carrot, which she then fed to him. The horse then nuzzled her cheek slightly, to which the girl responded with a slight giggle. "You chose a rather friendly one," she noted to Anderson, her smile not fading the way it generally did when she talked to strangers. Animals, in addition to being simpler for her to interact with than humans, also made it a great deal easier for her to socialize when they're around as well, much like a sort of moral support.
(I just realized how badly I failed when it comes to making her a Hater... If anything, she likes everything... xD)

♠▐ Cᴏʟᴅ Aɪʀ (somethingtoruminate) | 281 comments ((XD A... Peaceful Hater!))

A sighed slightly at her response, but smiled back nevertheless. He blinked rapidly at Sybilla's full name; it was certainly not something he had expected. A grinned, bowing slightly after she had curtsied. "The pleasure's all mine, Miss Sybilla," he said graciously. Anderson didn't mind the unorthodox introduction--unlike his mates, who would most likely insult her further. At the distasteful thought of that, he glanced back at them ever so slightly with the smallest scowl. They, of course, were talking loudly and laughing about the randomest things.

Turning his attention back to Sybilla, A grinned. "Or, you know, he just likes you. I don't blame him, you seem like a great person," he said with unintentional flirtatiousness. Anderson ran a hand along the stallion's mane, watching Sybilla with the usual twinkle in his cerulean orbs. She seemed much unlike most of those in the school; favoring the outdoor tranquility and turning away from things like popularity. To him, it seemed very admirable and note-worthy. Surely, Sybilla deserved friends more than he did.

Avalon | 497 comments (I was going for a Romantic Goth, but the paradox you came up with works as well =])

"You are an extremely talented rider," Sybilla told him, eager to shift the subject from herself, as well as meaning it. He truly was a wondrous rider, the type she'd likely love to race, if she were into that sort of thing. In truth, Sybilla had potential in so many fields, in particular badminton, but she didn't display her talent due to the fact that she simply lacked the competitiveness to compete. There was also the fact that her mother didn't approve of her daughters focusing too much on sports, but that wasn't as much of an obstacle. Of course it still was the main reason behind her keeping her interest in badminton a secret.

Silently she also wondered why he was socializing with her at the moment. After all, even if some didn't believe in being rude to those on other teams, generally even they tried to avoid being overly friendly with them, seeing as their own team could always come up with some sort of punishment. Sybilla, of course, was pretty much beyond that. No one really payed enough attention to her to care who she talked to, and so she found herself free to speak with whomever, so long as they engaged the conversation.

(It's a shame Sybilla is too clueless to flirt, or this would become real interesting, real fast...)

♠▐ Cᴏʟᴅ Aɪʀ (somethingtoruminate) | 281 comments ((It total would XD))

A smiled, his white canines flashing into view briefly. "Ha, thanks. It's what I do when I'm not dancing and when I'm bored. It's a shame, though..." He averted his gaze from Sybilla to the stallion. "I don't have a horse of my own... My family didn't have the time to take care of one" Anderson sighed and shrugged, smiling once again. "Oh, well. I'm happy here too," he said. "I'm curious, though... I haven't had the pleasure to see you ride. Though I bet you're fantastic."

A enjoyed the conversation with Sybilla; he hadn't spoken with someone so... indifferent about social status in far too long. It was like a refreshing experience, or a break from the unnecessary stress in the school. He leaned against the black stallion, tilting his head slightly to the side and smiling lazily. A light breeze ran through his thick hair, cooling his slightly sweaty skin pleasantly. Anderson couldn't help but appreciate the beautiful grounds, weather, and scenery surrounding Kale. A great contrast to what was hiding inside.

Avalon | 497 comments "As a general, my family does not have the time to keep a horse either, seeing as my mother and oldest sister are constantly away for work while me and my other five sisters are at school. However, since Kale Ivy has a stable, I am able to generally make time for Symphony," Sybilla explained. For a moment she considered ignoring his comment on her own riding, but then thought the better of it. After all, she'd hate to be rude when he was so polite. "If you wish to see me ride, and have the time to spare, you could join me on my ride. I would enjoy having company for once," she suggested with a friendly smile.

After a moments thought she realized just how true this was. Sybilla loved riding, because it allowed her time alone with Symphony to further bond as well as simply feel the joy of having the wind comb through her hair and all the other pleasantries that accompanied moving so fast and freely. However, having a human companion to speak with wouldn't be all that terrible. In fact, it'd likely improve the experience, as things tended to be even more fun when you had someone to share it with. Of course, she didn't expect him to say yes, seeing as he likely had to rejoin his friends, or something of the sort.

♠▐ Cᴏʟᴅ Aɪʀ (somethingtoruminate) | 281 comments ((I shall reply once I have access to a laptop. :D))

♠▐ Cᴏʟᴅ Aɪʀ (somethingtoruminate) | 281 comments Anderson kept his gaze on the female, watching her with his undivided attention the entire time. His lips were curved slightly upwards; giving the usual impression he was smiling even though he was not. A nodded at Sybilla's explanation of Symphony residing in the stables as he lightly brushed his stallion's mane. A small chuckle escaped his lips at Sybilla's response to him accompanying her on a horse ride. Even though horseback riding was not something A was necessarily passionate about, he did enjoy it. Perhaps it would be even more enjoyable with a friendly face that was not one of his immature buddies. Maybe, it would prove to be meaningful on the level of a warm friendship.

"Then it's settled. We're going horseback riding together," he said cheerfully, "Do you know a specific trail that's better than the others? I get the feeling you're more familiar with the place than I am." Anderson's blue orbs held a glint of delight; currently excited at the thought of having fun with someone other than his usual throng of friends.

Jmart Making good on her threat, Lydia had all the newbies mucking out the horses stables early in the morning. Each kid had a certain amount of stables assign to them and surprise surprise she had the most. Sydney was quite annoy the fact that the girl still trying to screw with her but made her further annoy is the fact that everyone else were grumbling about it. Come on!!!! She had five more then you so suck it up and stop crying!!!! Sydney was pretty thrill that she was apart from the others so she doesn't have to hear there whining. After a few hours she was dripping with sweat, tired, sore, and on her last two stables. Thank god! The shower was calling her name and her designer clothes were waiting for her to wear. Sydney had her long hair pile up in her head, in old pair of boots, old pant, and a sleeveless button up shirt. She was dress her the occasion unlike the others and just like the others she wasn't only mucking up poop but fixing up the whole stable. Removing the old hay and placing in new ones, filling up the water containers, and etc.

Jmart Sydney wasn't expecting anyone to be back here this early in the morning so she didn't expect to be careful for bystanders coming around behind her. Plus he was standing right in front of the wheelbarrow where she was dumping the old hay so it was Ripley own fault. She heard a voice out of the blue and first thought it was Michael kid. That guy came around a every few minutes to bitch so Sydney was ready to give him another reason to B. By shoving her pitch fork up his butt hole. Straighting back up she turn to face the poor victim who was smack in the face. If she wasn't already in a foul mood she would have flash Ripley a wide eye look and a stammering apology. Sydney push her specs up to her eyes to glance at the guy. "Oh please your the not first to have told me that this morning nor the last." She inform him with a is-that-the-best-you-got look. Then she reach for a semi-clean towel hanging on the door and hold it out to him to dust off his shirt. "Also its a given if you standing in front of the wheelbarrow fill with dirty hay." Then she gesture behind him before she started to rake out the left over hay near her feet while the guy take his time to get out of the way.

message 18: by Jmart (new)

Jmart Glasses? Huh. Sydney didn't expected that but it was a lot better then other things people have call her before. She pretty sure that of she spoke back and told him her name he probably ignore it or make a snappy comment. Ugh! Is everyone here rude as the grumpy cat without the funny of him? "A little to late for that Mr. Fancy Pant, but I do appreciate the advice thought." Sydney said with an amusing laugh. Really if he told her earlier she wouldn't have dare open her mouth to Lydia in the hallway. Walking around the tense guy she decided to move the wheelbarrow over to her side so she can finish up this stable. "Like I said I'm the reason why I'm even doing this in the first place. Me and my pretty smartass mouth." Now Sydney wasn't stupid she can see the guy was humming with some kind of anger, but she wasn't quite worry about it. She can handle herself quite well if he becomes physical, if, he did and verbally. . .well she was use to it. She deciding to stay neural and letting things roll off of her like water on a duck.

Jmart "But I will." Sydney breathe out because it was the damn truth. It won`t take long before she piss off the wrong kind of person once again and get screw in the ass by there asshole ways. Apparently Ripley was another person she tick off because he made it clear that he was going to teach her a personal lesson. Sydney should have seen it coming but she didn`t because she foolishly put her faith in this stranger not to be another meaner. Unknown to her that Ripley was the one guy you don`t want to run into. Also known as ripper because he rip into people for no damn reason. So when the wheelbarrow tip over Sydney didn`t even bother to try to save it, ah no, because it was already clearly made its path known to be on the floor. Well that wasn`t nice, was what Sydney thought when Ripley knee her wheelbarrow over, spilling it content onto the floor. Then suddenly the guy was up in her grill. Sydney automatic reaction was to step back from Ripley, but rather doing that she stood her ground and silently listen to his threatening words. Oh good lord he sounded just like Lydia but male version of her. Sydney had no clue what was with the one look over but one thing for sure it better not be something sexual about it. The last thing she needed to wonder is if she going to get rape at this damn school. Ew. She had to fist up her hands to ensure she didn`t try something stupid. Sydney watch him stalk off and she roll her eyes at his back side. "Ok grumpy cat!" She call after him with a annoy look on her face. Oops, that kind of slip out! LE GASP! Another Lydia moment!!!

Now since she clearly have to start over and pick up this mess, no thank for grumpy cat over there who also made her misplace her pitch fork. Where did she put that thing? UGH! Fuck her life! Sydney then kick the wheelbarrow for the hell of it since it didn`t really matter if she did it or not. The wheelbarrow flip right over and pour out the rest of its content like it was bleeding. "Now where is that pitch fork?" She muse to herself digging through the hay. Her grasp what seem like the handle of the pitch fork but then it move in her hand. Sydney release a yelp in fright and she trip back over the handle of the actual pitch fork smack back onto the ground, but not before she bang the back of her head with the door frame of the horse stable. Ouch much?

message 20: by Jmart (new)

Jmart Thank god Ripley didn`t just simply leave her there! God only knows what would happen to her while she was out of it. At this point there really no one here who will care what happen to her nor have really anyone who will question where she was. Since she still have no friends she pretty much alone here at the school with a good amount of people who dislike her. Some who most likely have done something pretty cruel to her while she was light out.

While Ripley was trying a few not so smart way to wake her up she was coming back to. Slowly mind you and it didn`t help that he was crouch so close to her and have smack her before he shook her. Really. The last time she was knock out was after she had her ass whoop by Anastasia in the ring. That girl beat the hell out of Sydney that she was check into the hospital for days for her injuries. Knowing this-this will explain to you why she did what she did when she came to. Sydney groan in pain and crack open a blue eye first before her green eye open to. When she fell back her glass came off so all she saw was blurry colors above her and brightness. Which brought back memories of waking up at the Hospital and she freak out. Confusedly she mistaken Ripley the Russian fighter Anastasia and jerk up to sit up and push him right off of her. "Otstan' ot menya vy ublyudok suka! Vy vyigrali ! ! Vy listat' vyigrali!" Sydney shouted at him in Russian with mixture of anger and pure fear at him.

Jmart Sydney was expecting a left hook to come at her, since.that girl a lefty like a damn witch. She scramble up from the ground, still a bit fuzzy, and was ready for the hit. Sydney can take a hit but when its comes at her in the blurry mess of her vision. For the second time she lost her glasses! Which reminded her of the bruises that stained her dirty hands. Now that her mind finally caught up with the current situation Sydney made a painful expression. "I would apologize to you but then you going to insult me some more grumpy cat." She said slowly as she narrow her eyes at him. It wasn't in a threatening way or anything it just she couldn't exactly see him. "Last time I was knock out I was staring down at a 5'7 girl with a nasty left hook and equally nasty habit to over do it in a fight. I thought you were her and going to redefine pain for me again." She mumble as she bend down and try to find her glasses. "I woke up in a hospital after the lesson so. . ." Sydney trail off not sure if he give a rat ass about the reasoning for her to shove him off of her.

message 23: by Jmart (new)

Jmart There so much a girl can take in one day. There also so much someone can take before they snap and allow some pinup anger to lash out. And Sydney lashed out the moment she heard her glasses, her beautiful glasses, release a painful scream as it glass lenses split in half and the frame crunching under the pressure of someone foot. Her world completely disappear around her. It may sound very dramatic in her pov but it was true. Sydney was blind without her glasses and is left helplessly blind far from her bedroom to get her replacement. She pretty much cool until then and snorted at the fact that she can rub someone off on it. "Don't be so dramatic." She told him hands sweeping the ground for her glasses. Sydney chose not to say his name the same reason why he didn't ask for her's. With a simple sigh to his comment about her fighting she didn't choose to fight the girl. They were in a competition and there opponent chosen for them. She did chose for that damn girl. Before she can reply to him she heard her poor glasses snap in half, kick to her, and prove that he did it out of spite. Sydney was silent for a whole two seconds before she pick up her glasses carefully and stood up. "Of all the shit you could have done and you had to do this." Sydney said very low and dangerous. "It always the glasses! Break one glasses to show how low you can stoop to get your point across. I much rather have you kick me in the face then break my fucking glasses like an A class school yard bully!" Sydney shouted after him. She was tumbling with anger and if she wasn't blind she would have pick up the pitch fork and would have aim at his stupid backside. Sydney clench her jaw and she try not to smash up her glasses more then it have been by grumpy cat.
