Mal (malxox) After putting out his cigarette up in the roof once Roxie left London had found himself bored and wandering. Classes weren't all to terribly important to him though he had bothered going the last four years, so ... Anyway boredom had taken his brain and he found himself pushing open the front doors of the institute, taking in a sighing breath of fresh air. Raking a hand through his hair he peered over the railing briefly as if to look for the school the rave had thrown off the roof previously. Then he eased himself slowly down into the secondary step to the top, and rested back on his elbows, relaxed as ever and letting his eyes scape ahead of him.

Elliot didn't have class yet. Being a senior he had the privileges of first and last off for classes. He had woken up earlier than he expected and found himself wide awake. So instead of attempting to go back to bed again, he got up and got ready. He had hug backpack slung over one shoulder and his guitar in one hand. He'd been wandering around looking for a place to just hang around and maybe play his guitar but decided to drop his bag off in his locker first. He smiled as he saw that London was on the steps and sat down besides him.

Mal (malxox) "Hey bud." London chuckled at his friend, shifting one hand off the concrete, reaching up and affectionately ruffling hair Elliot by the back of his head, grinning. He pushed himself up into a sitting position, laying his elbows on his knees and tilting his head over at the sight of his guitar. Of course he was still smirkingly hands clasping together for there was nothing for him to be doing with 'em. "Up early aren't we?" He rose his eyebrows almost playfully. Generally you didn't find London acting out, but he pretty much treated Elliot like a brother, like his brother - only on a longer leash of course, his brother was younger rather than his age.

"Skipping class on the first day?" Elliot asked with a raised eyebrow, not surprised if that was the case. He didn't move back as London ruffled his hair, he didn't even fix it back into place. If it had been any other person, Elliot probably would have killed them. London was the exception. Consider it a best friend privilege. "I'm just here because I couldn't sleep." Elliot slipped off his backpack and put it on behind him. He brought his guitar in front of him, opening the case. He took out the guitar and his pick and started playing simple notes.

message 6: by Mal (new)

Mal (malxox) "I figured as much." London answered lightly, eyes following the guitar as his friends fingers ran over the strings. London wasn't ant good at music, couldn't sing, couldn't play, he might joke about it every now and again because he didn't really care, but it wasn't anything on his mind. If anything he was a magician. Cards, illusions, mind tricks, stuff like that. Tapping the ends of his finger against the other he straightened up again slightly, looking out with a slightly squinting eye at the morning sunshine spilling over the landscape ahead. "And besides, I'm going, just whenever I want. It's not like my grades going to drop or something," he said nonchalantly, shrugging his shoulders like it didn't matter even if it did. London was never to concerned with his grades, he'd made it this far through this school the way he did, it was getting tiring and gagging, so he skipped a few classes he wouldn't need. Easy peesy.

Elliot just grinned and shook his head as he played a few chords, his hands moving up and down the guitar bar and plucking the strings with the pick. "Well it's the last year. Not much they can do can they?" He said, seeing that the behavior was expected from most seniors. And it wasn't like he and London had come in the middle of the term or during sophomore or junior year. Rather they had spent their entire high school years here. And they deserved something for surviving so long. Between the rivalries and drama it was a wonder anyone made it out alive. "What do you have next?" He asked.

message 8: by Mal (new)

Mal (malxox) London nodded, his eyes flickering shut as he eased back against the hard stone steps rather comfortably. There were a few people milling around out ahead of them, but he payed them no mind. Vaugely he cared about the door opening behind them, but whomever it was they didnt really are much about them, only walked on past. Ah the noise of the campus. Yeah, no. Elliot's guitar playing was better, far more relaxing to him. It always had been. At first London had just let him do whatever the hell he wanted, had commeneted sarcastically on his amnesia a few times, but over the course of just monthes he'd actually grown to like the kid. He reminded him of his brother. In which he was more than protective over. "Mm?" he asked, folding his hands on his stomach and stretching a leg out over the steps. "Oh, I think ... history maybe? I dont know, what time is it?" he asked in return, casual.

Elliot continued to play various chords, soon finding a rhythm within the music and playing it. The sound that came from the guitar was soft and casual. It was calming more than anything to Elliot, given the fact that simply playing the guitar was soothing to him. It was the only thing from Before that he was able to pick up on quickly after The Accident. Though this tune was indeed much more relaxing than his other music, which showed more frustration and anger than anything. Usually he composed after a Flashback or Memory. Though they were more distorted than anything. Like low pixel videos on youtube. "It's about eight-twenty." He said, answering London's question. "Want to just skip the whole day? It's not like they'll be teaching anything." Elliot offered. He just wasn't in the mood for school. And how bad could one day be? The first day at that.

message 10: by Mal (new)

Mal (malxox) London peeked through slits of open eyes, a smirk appearing on the side of his face. Slowly a flash of teeth came after and he nodded his head on return. "Now we're talking," he said with an almost enthusiasm in his tone. Pushing back up into a sitting position, palms brushing the stone he was sitting on, elbows bending to barley touch the steps behind him as well, he continued. "Have anything in mind? Frankly anywhere but here sounds simply perfect." London said easily, actually excited to find that he wasn't alone in wanting to completely ditch tho place.

"We could head back to the dorms and marathon something. I still haven't watched Star Wars." Elliot said with a simple shrug. Supposedly he was supposed to have watched them long ago. And perhaps he had. He just didn't remember them, like every other freaking thing he hadn't relearned already. So Star Wars was on the list of things he'd wanted to do since After The Incident.

((That was not my best post. :/ ))

message 12: by Mal (new)

Mal (malxox) London shook his head, "You're hopeless my friend," but he was joking. "Come on then, you have to understand the references if you're going to go to -- well if you're going to go to school period, much more outside into the world." He said, already up on his feet and holding out an offered hand that Elliot probably wouldn't take anyway. Which didn't matter much, let's face it, it was a reflex of having a younger brother always reaching out for your hand a few years back. And if we were being honest London was not a Star Wars nerd, hype was hype and he had hype for almost nothing.

"Tell me about it." Elliot said with a shake of his head. He placed his guitar and pick back into the case and shut it. He got up without London's assistance pretending not to notice it, knowing though that London had good intentions in mind. Elliot just didn't appreciate help. He already needed a little too much of that. So he stayed as independent as possible for whatever he could do. "Well want to head to your dorm or mine?" Of course going to each others dorm could create a problem seeing they were on opposite teams. But it had never been a problem in the past nor did either of them care of the consequences.

message 14: by Mal (new)

Mal (malxox) London ignored the fact this his hand was left in the crossfire. Dropping it down into his pockets he breifly wished that Roxie was nearby - only because he really wanted another cigarette. There was no particular reason, it would probably wear off within the hour anyway. So shaking off the feeling he looked back at Elliot, already walking away from the schools academic campus. "Eh," he shrugged casually. "Either's fine." He always said that. It was impative he didnt care - why? London doesn't have to, so why not?

"Then we can head to mine since I have most of the movies there. Unless you have something better in mind to marathon." Really, Elliot wasn't really into the idea of watching Star Wars. It was just one of those things he wanted to do. But it wasn't high up on the list. He didn't see the appeal of the movies. So perhaps he did indeed need to watch them. But if there was something that London would actually show interest in then why not just go for something they both had a bigger chance of enjoying?

message 16: by Mal (new)

Mal (malxox) To be honest London was pretty way going when it came to movies and music. There wasn't a lot he complained about. He didn't share much of an opinion on things like that. "Your room is fine, Ed. And simply because I know you're not into the who Star Wars thing you can choose anything you want to watch." He said easily, slipping his hands into his pockets, looking on with less than active eyes. You could say his head was in the clouds, that he was always like that, but if anyone knew him it was Elliot, so be what it may.

"Alright. Then let's head back and see what Netflix has to offer." Elliot said, picking up his bag and swinging it over his shoulder. He tried to think of some things he had on his to-watch list but nothing came to mind. It didn't matter though as long as he watched something. The two were lost in their own thoughts as they walked to Elliot's dorm. They ended up watching some show called Monk. It was a pretty entertaining show. Elliot definitely enjoyed the characters a lot.

((The End for now))

( ˘ ³˘)♥ Jay At the bottom of the steps and wearing a bright rainbow colored scarf, Lara sat, her bag hanging off her shoulder as she waited for Lucas to show up. According to some sophomore girls with a crush on the guy, he showed up to school around the same time every morning. He definitely didn't seem the type to show up to school late and she was still quite upset about the fact that the president of the Purple Raves thought that by exposing his team-mates to pneumonia was some sort of initiation. It definitely seemed stupid to her, especially since he'd ruined her camera. Stupid Moron-iarty

((Love the nickname.))

Lucas arrived to school with only his camera around his neck, wearing simple dress pants, a button down shirt with a blazer over it and a bow tie around his neck. Yes, Lucas was one of those 'dress for success' type of people. Not to mention he grew up wearing these type of clothes and apparel. Catching Lucas in shorts or sweatpants would probably mean some sort of apocalypse was coming. Or the person was just a stalker who snuck into his room while he was sleeping. None the less. Lucas had a hand over his camera as he made his way up the stairs to get into school, nodding to the girl who stood there.

( ˘ ³˘)♥ Jay [I thought you might appreciate that, especially coming from you, Miss Willy-yum ;)]

The fact that she'd only really seen Lucas once before was reason as to why she almost let him walk right past her. Only just after he passed her she stood up and grabbed his arm, right under his elbow. "Hey! I need to talk to you, Prez." She frowned, dropping her hand from him and wiping it on her jeans as if touching him would make her humanity go away or something. Frowning her eyes narrowed slightly at the sight of his camera, so he was a camera lover too and yet he still had managed to be inhumane enough ruin her camera?! He definitely seemed the type to dress for success, unlike her. With her rainbow scarf, jeans, and soft kitty t-shirt on, she definitely didn't look professional.

((I'm never going to hear the end of that am I. >.> ))

Lucas turned around as he felt a grip on his arm. He glared at the girl until she let go, wiping his sleeve as if she left some sort of disease on it. "Vice President. And go ahead, speak." He said, motioning her to get on with whatever nonsense she wanted to waste his time with. That was when he recognized her. She was one of the girls from initiation. Lena. Luna. Lera. Lara. That last one seemed to fit right. Yes. Lara. Lucas groaned internally. She was probably here to complain about something just as a few others had. Pinning the whole initiation ploy on him when in fact it was all Maybelle's idea. He had warned her of this and now he was paying the price because she had bailed on initiation night. Lovely. Just lovely.

( ˘ ³˘)♥ Jay [haha nope xD]

"Whatever, but fine Mr. Technical. I'll call you V-Prez. Happy?" Rolling her eyes she frowned and paused before speaking again, "You and your stupid initiation thrashed my camera. Before you start talking about how it wasn't your idea cause you're just the vice, it doesn't matter. You were there and you wrecked it." Lara's brows pulled together slightly in her anger, stupid person in front of her. It didn't help that Lucas had this look on his face of complete unphase-ment. As though nothing in the world would ever bother him. It was definitely frustrating to say the least and it certainly made her want to hit him more so than she already did. "I want an apology. Sincere apology from either you or the absentee president." Biting the inside of her cheek to keep her temper in check she frowned as she waited for him to apologize or say something.

Lucas held Lara's gaze as she spoke. When she finished, he broke it was a sigh running his hand over his hair. She was another so-called photographer, about five or six on campus including Lucas deemed themselves worthy of that title. Only about two captured pictures worthwhile. The rest were too busy taking photographs of meaningless things like brick walls. Though as a photographer he understood the loss of a camera. Why this girl brought her camera to initiation and how was a mystery to him. "I apologize for the destruction of your camera." He said, finally speaking simply which was as sincere as Lucas would get. "I can repay you for your losses. If the camera was digital and you still have the memory card I can perhaps recover most of your losses." He offered.

( ˘ ³˘)♥ Jay "Hey, I saw that look. No judgement. I sleep with a camera on my person at all times. You never know when you're going to come across something or someone worthy of capturing on film." Rolling her eyes she shook her head, as though she couldn't really expect him to get it. And she couldn't, she'd only been around Lucas for about 15 minutes and already Lara knew that he was a hoitey-toitey person. Probably thought himself above everyone else, and not in the way that he had talent enough to do that to others. "Thanks for the apology." She shook her head not taking him up on his offer. No way she wanted him to see her pictures if he was going to give looks like that.

"As you wish." He replied to her last comment. "I'll send you the link to the program that can recover your losses however." Lucas said. It wasn't as if he didn't have her email. He had gotten all that information as soon as he found out the newbies on the team. So whether or not she accepted the offer he would send it. Even if he didn't show it, Lucas felt slightly guilty about her losses. Nothing was more painful than losing a camera and the photographs it held. And he wasn't so cruel he would let another's work slip away that easily, whatever that work was and however pathetic and useless it seemed. Beauty was in the eye of the beholder, even if the beholder had impaired vision. "Now, if we're finished here. I have to get to class." Lucas said turning to leave.

( ˘ ³˘)♥ Jay Lara rolled her eyes, he obviously was one of those people, the kind that refused to listen to others. No doubt he would be some sort of CEO of a company or something stupid like that someday. Spending his life being the boss-man of the world. Ridiculous. "Of course you have to get to class." She muttered, he'd no doubt be one of those people too. The kind that couldn't ever miss class because it was important to his future and what not. Like being late was a crime or something. She shook her head and then realized she didn't take a picture. Reaching in her bag she bounded up the steps, past him and turned suddenly, snapping a picture of him. "Thanks for the picture, V-Prez." With a wave over her shoulder she bounded up the rest of the steps heading off towards the vending room to get some gummy worms to help her through her classes of the day.
