Jemma shuffled his feet forward, step by step, eyes darting around quickly. He had come here a lot last year, but other than a couple of seniors, it had usually been empty. He was hoping that it would be the same this year. Well, minus the seniors, since they'd graduated of course. Jemma didn't mind other people exactly, but he much preferred staying out of groups. If it was one on one with a person, Jemma tended to have fun. He cut off the inner ramblings in his head, and picked up one of the guns. It was always a little bit awkward, since he was left handed unlike the majority of people, but Jemma had grown accustomed to it. He smiled just a bit, aiming it carefully. The guns here were somewhere between toy NERFS with the lame foam, and a more realistic thing filled with blanks. After all, parents wouldn't want their kids to have even the slightest possibility to get injured, but self protection was an issue with other parents. Jemma wasn't wearing those ridiculous earmuffs that were often seen in tv shows, and he winced noticeably at the noise right after he'd pulled the trigger.
Jemma surveyed his shot, tilting his head and sighing. Turning towards the sound of a girl!s voice, he watched her fire the gun much more smoothly than his attempt. His ears were now ringing from both shots, so he wasn't sure what she'd said...it wasn't hard to guess though, since she'd been able to not flinch. "Hello Leah." He said holding the gun carefully as he raised his hand to mock salute her. Yeah, she was arrogant, but with a perfect shot, he couldn't exactly fault her on this instance. Plus, it was Kyle. Everyone was going to be arrogant to some degree. "Did you practice over the summer?" Jemma questioned walking back towards the front door to grab a pair of earmuffs. He didn't really want to wear them, but figured she'd just make fun of him again if he didn't. "If that wasn't just a lucky shot, you should give me some pointers." He knew she'd be too prideful to turn him down, even if he'd pretty much meant it as a joke.
Jemma nodded, somehow not surprised that she hadn't practiced but was still able to manage the gun like that. She seemed happy though he figured another week at Kyle and she'd be as annoyed as everyone else. Jemma nodded at her and adjusted his glasses before putting the stupid thing over his ears. It muffled the sound of everything, effectively cutting off their conversation unless she wanted to repeat stuff five times untill he understood the words. "Alright. Next time I see you I'll show you how improved my shots are." He didn't really mind not talking to her, so it wasn't a big loss. They weren't on the same team, and they didn't really have much in common.
