I simply LOVE overly complicated plans which fall short just an inch of really succeeding but also don't really fail. The Thorn of Camorr is a brilliant figure and his plan to robb the palace is a joy to follow. After putting the book aside when finished with reading it i couldn't wait for part two and even if i didn't like Red Seas quite so much i still am curious how the story of the Bastards will continue.
It was really amazing, everything about the characters, plot line, writing style was made to captivate the readers attention. I really liked the caustic humor, and witty remarks thrown between the characters. Locke Lamora was an incredible protagonist, not exactly the good guy with the typical moral standards but with his heart in the right place, and a "devious little mind" that never fails to astonish the readers when they finally manage to follow his line of thought.
