Alright, I want to write at least 1,000 words today.

I was going to start my new story today, but I didn't have time.

I've got maybe half a page, so far. I've got my work cut-out for me, if I'm going to hit the goal for today, lol.

@Sierra: Two weeks, huh?... I'd been stuck on this scene since May, lol.

@Gwen: Yeah, I'm NaNoCamping. Are you?

Mojo- Yeah, sort of. I signed up. Haven't written anything yet. At least, not with that tale. I've thought of an intro, but every time I intend on sitting down to write it, I find that those spare minutes have disappeared. It's... well... not cool.

@Gwen: Cool. I thought I was the only one doing it this time, lol! I hadda forego cabins, couldn't get any interest in setting one up.

Business, and not enough time. Worse than writer's block, lol. Hopefully things'll slow down a bit for ya, and you'll get some actual free time.

What is NaNoCamping?

@Mojo, May? Wow, and I thought two weeks was a long time XD

Camp NaNoWriMo is a spin-off from NaNoWriMo proper (which happens in November). There's two sessions: April and July. The wordcount goal is adjustable, so if you're busy, you can have it as low as 10,000 words. There's plenty of room to work on a pre-existing project.

Lol, I once went about a month or two without writing. I write when I feel the time is right. Honestly, I have no idea what the main idea of my story is yet. Im just going with the flow. In some ways, I'm just as lost as my characters,lol!

@Sierra: Nanowrimo is National Novel Writers Month. Every November they host a challenge for writers to start a novel from scratch, and reach full novel length (50,000) words in just the month of November. They also do "camp nanow" a few times a year, which is a lot more relaxed. You can set your own word goals, and what not...
I did last November's nanow cause Gwen bullied me into it ;-P

Mojo- I also forewent cabins. I just... didn't care to be in a group of strangers. lol.

Yeah, I'm waiting on things to settle with job stuff...

If I'd of made more of an effort earlier, I'm sure we could have managed to find a few people to group up with. But doing it the last two days of June prolly wasn't the best idea, lol!

Yea, but this one Im writing now is way better than the others I tried. I had at different times, started writing four stories. This one is my fifth try. All the others I gave up on a while ago...

Yep, same here. I've got a bunch of other stories started, but none finished yet. This one is very, very close.

I had time but I was in a bad mood and I had to edit episode two of my series.

I have... a binder full of old writings, scattered notebooks and scraps of paper here and there, files on my computer, files on disc, files on thumbdrives... and I often forget about things I wrote in years past.

Yea, I just - lose the want for the story, you can say. But the one Im writing now has gone the farthest at chapter 7.... I like my characters better in this one as well. That's a key part too. If you don't like your characters, what's the point?

Yeah, liking the characters is key.

Okay, so I wrote about 100 words this morning of the new, noir style tale (I almost said "100 pages"!). So far, so good... You know, the typical, "The day I was born..."

I think I got close to my goal, but was watching tv with my family last night, so I couldn't focus on the writing as much.

I've... lost track of what my wordcount goal is, since I haven't really seriously been writing the past few weeks... lol.

I hadn't been paying attention to wordcount goals, but found that I wasn't writing much as a result, lol.

I'm within 140 words of hitting my NaNoCamp goal. Mojo, you should be shaking in your boots... lol.

If I had time to shake in my boots, maybe I would, lol...
