Conclusions/Book as a whole

As sometimes happens here on Brain Pain, I read this book alone. Luckily, it's a favorite of mine. Spanning the centuries of male-female struggle, Grass gives an amazing view of life in Baltic Europe, as well as many recipes for all occasions - social, political, or otherwise.
