I like the artist's style. It is both whimsical and dark at the same time. The art reminds me of The Moomins, which she lists as an influence. I wish I had a house/friend like Richmond.
Just read all the way through it in a couple of days. It's good, I'm interested to see where the story is headed.
I just powered through the whole thing within the past two hours. I had forgotten how much I liked it. The art is very pretty. I love Lumi and Tristan's character designs. Who would have thought that a three-eyed frog could be cute?I love the witchy theme. I like that the author didn't make witches scary or anything. They're just different.
Finished chapter 1. Was uncertain about it at the start but then got drawn in. The atmosphere and tone is really well done. Lumi's quasi-boredom at times and Tristan's distress combine to make the introductory stuff quite interesting.
The art's a little too dark and abstract in places, but is very good overall with a unique style. I agree with Kristen - the two main characters have great designs.

Read another chapter. Great storytelling and a ton of interesting plot points to explore going forward. I'm completely hooked now.
I finally caught up. And now I'm sad because there's no more to read (for now). The fourth chapter was fantatsic. Lumi is a very compelling main character and her relationship with Sindri wonderfully complex.
I feel the same mike. I'm really sad there hasn't been an update in a while. It was really getting good. I'm following the artist on tumblr, so maybe I will have a heads up when there is an update.
Oops! It's obviously been awhile since I checked tumblr or Hemlock for an update. It seemed like I was checking all the time and then I just gave up. So happy to have new Hemlock to read!!!
I don't think those updates were actual pages. The last I checked they were filler art. It's a bit disappointing every time Smackjeeves says there's been an update and it isn't a page. I do appreciate her letting everyone know what is going on, though.
You're right Kristen. I got all excited for nothing. But I do appreciate the fact that she let us know the reason for the delay.
It's times like this where I kinda wish I wasn't such a reasonable person. I'm not super happy about waiting to read new pages, but at the same time, I know that people have other more important things going on. If I were unreasonable, I could rage and yell and make myself feel better.
I try to keep those things in mind too Kristen. I also try to remember I'm reading it for free. I usually just make do with scowling and gnashing of teeth.
I share both the feelings of impatience and the reasonability that makes me remind myself to be understanding. That said, I'm really glad I came in when it seems like it'll be restarting soon...

Here's (more or less) the first page of Hemlock:
