[This thread is the Rise Up Story!!! Thread *applause*.... It'll work similar to the Word Game Thread... But we'll write a story with each poster, writing one line at a time.

If you'd like to speak outside of the story, please use brackets as I've used here...

I'll start us off with a classic...]

It was a dark and blustery night.

A girl was reading in a meadow.

She was very enthralled in the story.

She turned a page when all of a sudden a dog came and sat by her.

She turned to the dog "what's your name?" She asked.

It sighed, then settled, laying its head on her lap.

The girl saw a collar on the dog.

It read: Gabriel.

The girl decided that Gabriel must have gotten out of his owner's fence by accident.

She saw no phone number, or address on the tag.

Then, she looked down at an illustration in her book, she was surprised to see it looked exactly like Gabriel.

She looked again at the girl in the book, seeing a sudden resemblance to herself.

So she thought, hmm this is really strange.

The dull heat of dread started spreading through her stomach and chest.

She heard her mom call her in for dinner, but she wasn't feeling all that hungry.

And she wasn't feeling like leaving the meadow either.

So she ignored her mother and put her book down, and lay down to take a nap in the meadow.

As the dog settled next her, an idea struck her like: The book! What happens next?

She quickly sat back up and opened the book, searching through it's pages for what came next.

A purple dragon came riding out of the pages.

What the- Her thought was cut short by an ear splitting roar.

She tried to tell the dragon to calm down, but it didn't, it put her on it's back :O

To say that she was terrified would be a vast understatement as the wind ripped her back, and gravity threatened to suck her off the dragons back.

The dragon was flying faster and faster.

"Hold on tight," it said, then dove for the ground at breakneck speed.

{Lol!} So she held on with all of her might. {Wait, shouldn't the girl have a name?}

[I was thinking that, but I didn't wanna have to be the one to name her, lol!!]

The dragon leveled off, flying inches above the treetops of a vast forest.

He asked, "Where do you want to go?"

She tried to catch her breath, gasping and heaving.

"What's your name?" the dragon said.

[Hah!]

I'm Brielle {Hee hee} the girl answered.

[Sky Sailing, nice!]

"Brielle," the dragon said as if trying a new food. "Nice name."

"Thanks," she answered.

The dragon grunted, then dove into a clearing, landing lightly on the ground.

Brielle got off and looked at the scenery around her.

The sun dipped slowly below the tall trees, casting dark shadows all over the clearing while the sky remained a two tone blue and indigo.

She saw a stone pathway and a waterfall.

"Come," the dragon said, walking slowly towards the waterfall. "We have much to discuss, and this forest may have ears."

"Well, ok" Brielle said.

Still confused but she followed anyway.

She wasn't sure she wanted to follow the dragon, although she knew that she could not run from it.

The dragon led her to a big cave hidden behind the waterfall.

She tried to shake herself dry, earning a hearty chuckle from the dragon.

The dragon moved a boulder aside, revealing a glowing object.

Brielle reached out toward it, then snapped her hand back. This is all happening too fast!

The object got brighter and Brielle suddenly awoke, realizing that it was just a dream and that the sun was rising.

She took a few breaths, and rolled grudgingly out of her bed.

She could smell bacon cooking.

She stepped toward her bedroom door, but as she did, it disappeared, and she was back in the cave again, looking at the shining object, then just suddenly as it appeared, it disappeared, and she was back in her room, staring at the door.

(Oooh! I'm glad you have this; I was going to suggest it!)

Suddenly she heard an explosion and two scenes played before her simultaneously; a tremor led the ceiling of the cave to fall and her bedroom to collapse.

Oh, crap! she thought.
