To claim to explain "how the mind works" is blatant false advertising and sensationalist drivel.
But, excellent anatomical, physiological, biochemical and histochemical data are available to construct a comprehensive description of how the brain works - but, please, don't be so arrogant as to imply that the brain and the mind (whatever that is) are synonymous.
Consider this:
In my "mind" I decide that I hit the ] key of my keyboard. I can describe the response path from the appropriate motor neurones of the brain to the action-specific muscles, but how do i describe the stimulus path, i.e. what is the nature of, and the origin of, the "mind" , the decision, stimulus?
A Nobel Prize for anyone who can correctly answer that question.
