I like reading about all different races. I especially love when a book incorporates the cultures of character into the storyline. It makes the book more enjoyable.
The race of the character doesn't really matter to me, but I like a book when I can connect with the character in one way or another.
I feel that there aren't a lot of different characters out there. Or maybe I live in a very "white" goodreads world, but I haven't encountered many colored or people with different religions. I would love to read more of it though, since I find it wildly interesting. Especially interested in different religions.
Personally, I find that race/ethnicity doesn't matter to me, in terms of being able to relate to characters. In fact, I enjoy reading books that have characters of multiple ethnicities because, if they're written well, I might be able to learn something about a new culture! Also, I find that character development is what really gives me the opportunity to relate to a character.
