As a child, I read a book that was a little morbid looking back on it, but it had a very happy ending. It's a children's book with really beautiful and colorful illustrations.
It's about a woman who dies, and her husband decides to be buried with her. When they wake up, they are in the land of the dead. This place is beautiful to the wife because she is dead, but the husband can only see skeletons because he is still alive. He goes back to the land of the living, and he somehow dies soon after and returns to his wife in the land of the dead.
It's actually a really happy ending despite sounding like a horrible choice for a children's book. I remember my parents read it to us to help with some grief that our family was going through at the time, and it actually did help. Anyway, it would be great to know the name of the book since it has such sentimental value to me.
