So many great quotes.
"If I ever shoot you, you'll be awake, you'll be facing me, and you'll be armed."
"If I ever shoot you, you'll be awake, you'll be facing me, and you'll be armed."
This one was funny: Inara: So, are you going to lecture me on the wickedness of my ways?
Shepherd: Actually, I brought you something to drink, but if you'd prefer a lecture, I've got a lot of them about fire and brimstone planned.
Inara: I think I'll pass.
And this one:
Simon: Kaylee, can you move your legs?
Kaylee: Are you asking me to dance?

Hahaha!
Mal: "Besides, I don't plan on any shooting takin' place."
Jayne: "Well, what you plan on, and what takes place ain't ever exactly been similar."

Ha ha. I'm 19 so those things don't bother me. I wouldn't recommend that little kids watch Firefly though, it's too mature for kids
Whenever I recommend a show like Firefly to another Christian, I kinda have to give a caution for those things. Wouldn't want to cause someone to stumble.
I can't remember this quote exactly...
Book: "Do not take advantage of that girl. There's a special circle of Hell reserved. It's for those who commit such acts, and people who talk at the movies."

Yeah, pretty much, lol!
Anyway, the show's made by Joss Whedon, and he's a pretty terrific tv/movie writer.

I like how each crew member has a distinct personally, making them seem like a ragtag family. Mal is what you would call the average character, just trying to figure things out, Zoey is the tough, no nonsense partner in crime, Walsh and Jayne are the class clowns of the ship, Inara is the seductive personality, Kaylee is the cheerful one, always looking at the bright side of things, Simon is the smart and tech savvy one (Well, Kaylee is also tech savvy but you get the idea). Then you have Shepherd Book, and as for River, she's hard to define. She's the most mysterious one on the show.
Just remembered this one:
Mal: "It's nothin'."
Simon: "I expect there's someone's face feels differently."
Mal: "Well, they tell ya, never hit a man with a closed fist, but it is on occasion, hilarious."

I only watched the movie, Serenity. I loved the movie though and my mom loves the TV show. She said it was a pity that they only did one season. I get frustated when they stop awesome series like that. I loved Stargate Universe and was horribly peeved when they stopped it. LOL
Yeah, it really sucks when good shows get stopped.
Stargate Universe was okay-- but Stargate Atlantis was so much better.

Oh, yes! Stargate Atlantis was awesome! And it is funny that I got into it so much since I could never really get into the original Stargate series.

Haha, nice.
I could never get into Stargate anything. But scifi stopped aring the Andromeda reruns, and I wound up Getting into Atlantis cause I was going through Andromeda withdrawals and needed something scifi to watch, lol.
Then I got into SG-1 after going through Atlantis withdrawals...
@DH: oh, cool! I love comics.

LOL! I got into Stargate because I'd watched the Star Trek (DS9, Voyager, NG) series too much. But, once, when looking for a Star Trek substitute my little brother made me watch Farscape. And, oh dear, it was SO CORNY! Yet, somehow I got addicted to it and had to watch all four seasons of a sci-fi TV show where some of the main characters were puppets! LOL
LOL!!! And I thought I was the only dork who got into it! I like the weird humor of that show. It made me laugh so hard.

Ha, nice! Such a cheesy show. Great throwback to old-school science fiction.
