Prawns for Patti
You'll have to ask Ignite or one of the others, my cooking isn't really up to anything more complex than toast
kid in our last school come in one morning and said daddy burned the toaster this morning.i said you mean daddy burned the toast.
saw her mum later
daddy had burned the toaster.
set it on a hot hob.
even that would be a lie, I'm probably closer to whatever the -ice word for 4 or 5 is. I usually just burn utensils though not appliances and haven't done it in years thanks to induction and gas hobs :o)
she had pork.great stuff Jim.
we're having dinner with the principle from school tomorrow night in Saigon.
got anything to say about meals with friends?

I'm English
Tonight I will eat with Nigerian friends, next week might be with Filipino friends, we've got a number of good Chinese, Indian and Thai places in town.
I'm also male and don't try to organise the cooking. I buy stuff when given written instructions :-)

First they looked at the spaghetti. They decided that it was obviously an elaborate practical joke because it was uneatable as it was. So before cooking, they just shattered it into spoon or fork sized lengths. The Bolognaise they felt was a great idea, but obviously whoever did the recipe had forgotten to mention the chilli, either that or assumed you'd know to add it so it wasn't worth mentioning, so chilli was added as well.
Once you got used to it, it was actually rather good, more like chilli con carne without the beans and with pasta rather than rice :-)
Yep, sounds like their take on it.We were allowed free lunches on the island from the camp canteen. They always offered a choice of either Nigerian or European food.
Nothing was edible.
I went to a Nigerian wedding over here where the caterers were Nigerians. (No other caterers could cope with the idea that there might be between 200 and 500 guests, no one really knew.)The food was fine, a common combination seemed to be some sort of bland mash, to which you added sauce/meat with appropriate levels (or inappropriate levels) of seasoning
I have to admit that they do lack something. Mainly flavour. I can imagine people turning to severe chilli addiction just to be able to taste something
Did they have meat on sticks? It's called suya. Forget about tasting meat. They just use the meat a medium for transferring chilli into their mouths.
I don't remember them.Prior to the wedding breakfast, whilst we were waiting for the photographs, we sat in the sun around picnic tables and there were 'nibbles' or horses douffers circulating.
None of them were named but they were all pretty good.
PattiI am
a) Male
b) have very broad feet.
Every year I walk into a shop and pick up a pair of walking trainers (normally the same type) which I proceed to destroy during the course of the year.
Other than that I have a pair of wellingtons and a pair of black shoes to go with the suit :-)
This year I cheated and decided to splash out on a pair of light 'boots' which are by the same firm that do the walking trainers, and we'll see how long they last.
But quite literally I wear through the soles of a pair of trainers in a year :-)
For me, the joy of new footwear is that it doesn't leak ;-(
Oh c'mon. You seem to take great delight in having the hair worn off your legs.Okay. I'll try and think of a better topic.
Don't worry, I've done itI was reading something in the paper and needed to rant
