Read the Movie discussion

I saw the movie first and loved it. I just recently found out that it was based on a book series. Interestingly, some books were written after the movie, based on Griffen and his back story. Griffen wasnt originally part if the series, and was only created as a character for the movie. Many people liked his character when the movie came out, so the author of the series wrote his story. I havent read any of the books yet, but I just thought it was interesting. Thoughts?
