Souls with Sketch Books/ Art Group discussion

okay so Dauntless came up with this awesome idea to do a art contest. so here is what it is. we both post a picture for to draw or paint or whatever. you chose between the two and draw one of them. so then me and dauntless chose 1 winners each team. then the 2 of you face off. except this time u dont get to chose ur picture u draw or whatever. we give u one and you try your best to turn it into ur art. then of course one person will win. you'll have a week to get each one done and if its not posted by the due date your post will not count and you wont win you'll be booted out until the next contest. we do tht not to be mean but so we can keep traack of who is in the contest or not.
thats what it is..... NOW FOR RULES.

okay these are my set of rules, dauntless can make her own set of rules but im sure they'd be somewhat the same. READ ALL OF THE RULES FULLY OR YOU WONT UNDERSTAND

1.) no fighting or bickering with your oppents, no complaining either. (and if you dont like the pic we chose for you to do, then don't come complaining to us - me and Dauntless.)_

2.) if you are going to enter a contest, you need to post under this disscusion. which drawing your going to do and if your in or not.

3.) me and Dauntless are probably gonna have to have a even amount drawing or whatever on each side. So if there are too many on one side we will RANDOMLY put you on the other side to try and even it out. if you dont like the side your on and start complaining you will also be booted and tht makes it worse with your group ppl cause then we have to move someone else and tht just puts the contest off that much longer. so NO COMPLAINING AT ALL.

4.) Your artwork will have a due date. That is to help keep up with everything once again. So if your art isn't posted by the due date on time, you'll be booted out. once again its to keep everthing moving. (now, if something happens and you cant have it post on time. Just let me AND Dauntless knw so we can work it out. That even goes if you have problems getting it posted.)

5.) When you are posting your art you can do one of the two. 1. post it on the group (plz do tht one more so if new comers want to look they can see your art.) 2. post it on your pofile BUT you have to send me AND dauntless a link to it (NO SPAM) but you have to send us a link or again your out of the contest. Also, when you post it. put under it- in the discription - which person your going under (Me or Dauntless). ur own discription of the art - how long it took, what you like about it, what you don't like, blah blah blah. and also put the date you posted it (art can be posted early too, just have it in by the due date tht me and dauntless will agree on) and when you post it tell us when its posted or if ur having a problem with it and thhem we will check it out. so if u like ur art and want to keep it on something put it on ur profile and here. becuz we have to delete the ppls who didnt win cuz space gets filled up and we have to keep the contest going. so keep in mind tht if u dont win ur pic will be deleted. and if u cen post it here then post it on ur profile and give us a link and we will check it out.

6.) NO DIGITAL ART. This competion is for YOUR skill NOT the computer. this has to all be done by hand. You can paint, draw (which is probably the most common), spray paint. Anything on paper. But no computer stuff. if you do so once again you'll be booted out. AND no finding another drawing on the internet that is similar.

7.) NO COPYING ART FROM THE WEB. or using older art of yours. And to KNOW this is your art and not someone elses. at whatever corneer of the paper put your signature like I do. EX: (this is my sig.) K.L.R.G. something short and sweet and to know tht it is yours when your entering a competion tell us where your sig is going to be and what it is. if no we will have the idea tht you copied it and you'll be band from the competion.

8.) HAVE FUN, comment what you like about your oppents art and what you dont like (dont be nasty or rude. no fighting like i said b4 you'll be band.)

9.) and please just join we probably need like 10 ppl in the competion at the most not like 4 we need atleast 6 ppl. so if you talk to a lot of ppl on here or knw another artist thts not in the group invite them to the group get them in the competion.( so we can just see how the competion goes. and see if we will keep doing it. so its all up to the first competion)

10.) if you have ANY QUESTIONS feel free to send a message to me or Dauntless we will happy to answer them.

11.) WATCH THIS DISCUSSION, THIS IS WHERE WE WILL POST WHO IS ON WHAT TEAM WHAT YOUR PIC WILL BE AND WHATEVER ELSE WE FEEL LIKE SO WATCH THIS PAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AUG. 1ST. your art needs to be in by 1st midnight if it is not ur pic will be deleted and you will not be in the comp.

Please as of now chose who's pic you are drawing or whatever. but please know tht if there are to many one one team we will switch you over quickly. we will send a mass message leting everyone know who's team you are on. so please dont start the comp. until tomorrow. thank you!

Cool! I'll do it. I guess I'll go under Kendra, I don't care; I'll do whatever pic y'all choose. I do have a question though... when you say anything on paper, it can be on cardboard or canvas or something else, right? just as long as we make it and not the computer?

yes, it can be on anything as long as its not on a computer or photo shopped. and thank u for even repling to my message no one else has. so now i need another person to enter or well i guess we'll just get to see what you make.... if u talk to any of the artist ppl on here plz get them in on this!

Okay. I'll see if I can help get more people. I was once in a writing contest like that where I worked on my writing really hard and was really proud of it, then realized that I was the only one participating. I really hope that there are at least a few more people.

I understand wanting to ensure it's drawn by hand, but why the blanket assertion of no digital art? Almost all my art is digital, either on my note 2 with the stylus or at my desk with my wacom. I can post stuff if you'd like to see it, but it's obviously hand drawn.

i know thts annoying to most digital artist but i've done lots of comp.s like this and lots of it was digital art and some of them cheated but... i'll tlk to dauntless. but u have to ensure tht this is ur art and no one elses. its not to be mean its to ensure everything is fair i'll tlk to dauntless but if u will send me a message what your signature is and where its going to be please
