Kendra Simmons | 2 comments Veronica Roth revealed at ComicCon that it will be in Tris AND Four's perspective! So psyched! Especially after Insurgent's annoying ending. :P

Night Owl Reader (allnightreading) THANK YOU for not spoiling anything, I was afraid that this might not be a safe topic to look at, but I couldn't help myself. So thanks! I am excited for Allegiant too, though I am still working on finishing Insurgent! I'm getting there, I'm like 2/3s through...

Someone on youtube suggested that what is beyond the fence is probably just societies like us. You know, where they don't have factions? That seems to be a possibility now! And I've finished Insurgent now.

Oh awesome!! Did you love it?

DID THE ENDING COMPLETELY DRIVE YOU CRAZY?

message 15: by Night Owl (new)

Night Owl Reader (allnightreading) Yes, it certainly did.

Evygirl01 | 6 comments Is anyone else just DYING about it being confirmed to be in both points of view?! I absolutely LOVED reading "Free Four" in his POV, and can't wait to hear how Veronica does it.

Also, the cliffhanger ending is bound to be continued directly in the first chapter of Allegiant. That ending was scream-worthy, I swear! It's so exciting to think that we're about to know what happens next!

I knowwwww!!! It cam in the mail today but MY MOM WON'T LET ME READ IT UNTIL I FINISH MY HOMEWORK >:(

Evygirl01 | 6 comments Who has finished the book? And what did you think of the ENDING? I seriously cried...

Emily (dance-live-orch) | 1 comments I read it, and I hated the ending.
One thing I do have to say for the series though was that Tris and Tobias' relationship was my favorite out of almost all of the books I have read. It was just sad that Veronica Roth had to close up the book that way. I would much rather have read that they both lose their memory, which would be tragic, but at least not as desperate and lame as the real ending! Over all, I thought the entire book was a bit over-explained and redundant.

Kira | 1 comments I cried for 10 minutes just saying!!! i liked the ending though!

Evygirl01 | 6 comments ***SPOILERS IF YOU HAVEN'T READ IT*** I see why Veronica Roth had to end it that way, whether I we like it or not. I mean, she had brushes with death multiple times in the series, and most of the time it was because she put herself in danger for the wrong reasons. She spent all this time trying to get back to her parents, thinking she was doing what they would do, when in reality she wasn't. The time she did something truly Abnegation without the reckless, desperate desire for death was the time that she finally did make it back to her parents.

Rachel | 2 comments ** SPOILERS **

I know there are a lot of people who disagree but I personally, really liked the ending!

Now let me add to that... It broke my heart when Tris died! I had to re-read the end of that chapter about three times before it finally sunk in. I get fully invested in the books that I read and the characters become my friends... so when Tris died I was devastated. With that being said... it was the right ending for her character. She finally learned what true sacrifice was. She was, in these last moments, finally the character that she had been becoming the whole series. She swallowed her pride and forgave Caleb for what he had done... she showed him that she loved him enough to give her life in his place.

I don't like what some people are saying about how they wish Caleb would die... I just don't get that. He made a mistake, but we all do. Tris saw past that and loved him anyway!

I am sad that Tobias has to live without his love now :( But the way he ended the book was so beautiful and I actually have the quote hanging on my wall... "Since I was young, I have always known this: Life damages us, every one. We can't escape that damage. But now, I am also learning this: We can be can be mended. We mend each other."
Tris' death damaged him but we will make it through. He will be mended!!

When I read Veronica Roth's explanation for why ended the story this way she explained that them riding off into the sunset wouldn't have been a good fit; I agree! Does it make it easier to read it? Haha, not at all!

i agree, the ending of insurgent was very frustrating. because the gal giving the message was not named. in the book she says who she is. in the movie she's left with no name. very frustrating. i wonder how allegiant will begin. in the movie everyone is walking towards the wall. but in the book, tris (and others) are detained. does anyone have any thoughts on that? also, anyone have any thoughts as to where the movie will be split? i think the movie will start off with tris & four being detained by evelyn before they even get out of the building. just my opinion, tho. feedback appreciated.

message 28: by Diane (new)

Diane Snyder | 5 comments has anyone seen the official trailer for allegiant? just saw yesterday & it looks awesome! SPOLIERS unless you've seen the trailer. tris, four, christina, peter, tori, and caleb are leaving chicago & climbing over the wall. so i have a new theory about where the two movies split. tris, four, christina, peter and tori, stay in chicago to "rescue" caleb from the firing squad (i.e. being tried for treason). after they rescue him, the six of them escape over the wall. don't know why they go over the wall, when the walls opened in the last scene in insurgent. but anyways............i think they have to fight their way through evelyn & her co-horts to make it to the "outside" world. they end up meeting david in the white room, wherein david asks tris for help in saving the world. i think that's where it ends. the 2nd movie will begin with david explaining to tris why he needs help in saving the world. just my opinion thought. anyone else care to weigh in????
