Alice (alice20) Name: Lucian Regem
Age: 25
Appearance:

Personality: He's a man of few words, but he is kind and intelligent. Years of reigning over a vast kingdom has hardened him and matured him. Although his job as a king is to act amiable and likeable, he is a closet introvert who doesn't like meeting brown-nosing people. As a king, he is a benevolent, compassionate ruler who makes tough decisions based on his own moral code. He tries not to let other people influence him, because he knows that he is strong and capable of independence.

History: His father, the former king, died in the hands of enemy assassins, leaving a 22-year-old Lucian an entire kingdom to rule over. His father was corrupt and gained many enemies from his selfish, harsh rule. Although he was assassinated, people of the kingdom who suffered because of him were still unsatisfied, so they formed a secret pact to carry out a revenge against his son.

After he took the throne, Lucian pieced together the kingdom that was falling apart through his charisma and intelligence. Little did he know that the group of commoners who had formed the pact had secretly infiltrated his closest circle of advisors.

Niran I'll start

"Now now, Drake. You know not to do that", Sienna said, pretending to be telling off the little boy. But she ended up laughing and giving him a little grin. The kids of the village gave her a laugh and then Sienna said," I'm very very angry with all of you-", she joked," You must run if you want to live!". She picked up her dress and started to run after them as they squealed and screamed and ran. The village people and parents were staring out, wondering what the chaos was about, they also ended up laughing.
The village was a little forest area with greenery everywhere, trees, plants, crops and wooden houses.
Sienna grabbed a little girl and caught her in her arms," I've got you!", she laughed and cradled the girl. She looked down at the rest of the children and smirked," Who shall save the damsel in distress?". Sienna loved playing with the children, she couldn't help but to be a child herself when she was around them. A little boy names Marcus stepped up nervously and stuttered," I-I will, M-My Lady".

Alice (alice20) The booming voice of his closest advisor Maximillian echoed around the grand court room and made Lucian's ears ring. Lucian pinched the bridge of his nose, his head hurting from sleep deprivation and stress. It didn't help that he was sitting in his uncomfortable, rock-hard, golden throne.

"Enough." Although he had spoken the word softly, his voice rang of authority and made everyone in the room look at him.

Maximillian stopped mid-sentence, looking slightly offended at being cut off. "My lord?" he said. "Is there a problem with the plan?"

Lucian suppressed a scoff. His plan involved killing everyone in their enemy's proximity to "intimidate the opposing forces" and "show them the extent of his kingdom's power". But Lucian knew better. Killing innocents would lead them nowhere. "Yes, Maximillian, there is a big problem with your plan. Decimating every woman and child in Argon's radius, just to show who has the upper hand? That will solve nothing."

Now, Maximillian looked full-on annoyed, though Lucian could see him trying to mask it. "Well then, what do you suggest?" Maximillian asked.

"Killing people will only show them that we are hot-headed and ruthless. We need to demonstrate control. I say we send our forces into Argon's forests, capturing the independent covens that are scattered throughout its borders. We don't kill them. We take them here and put them to work as servants. They will be too weak to fight back, and it will show Argon that we are capable of enslaving its people."

The room was silent. Even Maximillian, who usually had an arguement about Lucian's plans, seemed to find his plan a good one. Lucian stood up to his full height, towering over the advisors who were seated around his table, and he called forth his commanding general. "Reston, send our troops to the Argon Kingdom and survey the area. Take any covens hostage. Whatever you do, do not kill anyone. Understood?"

The general nodded. Lucian pursed his lips grimly as he walked off. Although he was glad that he had convinced his advisors not to kill, he felt saddened knowing that innocent people would be enslaved--their whole lives ruined in a matter of hours--just because of him.

Niran What was to become of the village, no one knew that. No one even dared to think about it.

"Good boy, Marcus", Sienna ruffled his hair and smiled down at him. The game was over.
But Sienna felt as if the game of battle was not.
She looked around as she felt that there was something wrong, something terribly wrong.

Everything from then was it was in slow motion, the kids running and screaming, the women begging and beckoning children to come to them, the men getting their weapons.
But there was not enough of the coven to beat the kingdoms knights. The knights trampled through the coven with big, muscular horses, expressions of needing to kill and swords in their hands.

"Men! Get your weapons and defend your land!", Sienna shouted. The men shouted back in agreement. Sienna immediately grabbed her knife from behind her back as one of the knights approached with a grin on his face, she quickly dodged him and stabbed him in the head. Sienna looked around to see her men fighting and being shoved to the ground, tied up and ready for slavery.

But it was all over in seconds.
The knights had snuck around to the children and women and had tied them up first.
"Drop your weapons or these little ones and women shall died by fire", the leader of knights viciously explain. Sienna looked over her men and nodded.

Before everyone knew, they were tied up in one line and forced to walk to the kingdom.
She looked aside to her old friend, a friend of her father.
"Galeus, they are taking us to be slaves aren't they?", Sienna said emptily. The ancient, white haired man turned to her with sad eyes and croaked out," Yes my dear, we are now scum to be toyed with".

As soon as they got to the kingdom they were already treated like slaves, lined up like someone was ready to buy them.

message 9: by Alice (new)

Alice (alice20) Lucian soon received word that twenty different covens had been captured and sent to the slave market to be sold off. He sighed when he heard the news. He hated that these people were being treated like trash even though they didn't do anything wrong. So, he decided to go to the slave market himself and show his kingdom that they were to be treated kindly. That they were not the enemy.

Without even notifying his advisors of what he planned to so, Lucian walked into the village with only one guard trailing behind him. People gasped as they saw him walk past. He rarely came out unaccompanied like this--he was always followed by a procession of court jesters, soldiers, and advisors whenever he came to town for a holiday. He smiled at the people who stared at him, waving to let them know that he was not there to send them to the gallows or punish them.

The slave market was a large tent with a single, large block in the middle where the auctioning slave would have to send. Now, it was filled with villagers shouting and cheering on whoever bid the highest. Lucian saw the long line of chained people waiting their turn, looking so dispirited that he wished he could do something to alleviate their pain.

He entered the tent, and--much like before--his presence was like a magnet, drawing everyone's attention from the little boy who was standing on the block. They collectively gasped. For a moment, they seemed to wonder if they were just seeing things. After all, the king would never come to an auctioning block like this.

Lucian walked forward, donning the air of authority and confidence that he always had in front of his people. "I am Lucian," he bellowed as people parted for him to walk past. "Your king. And I have come here to tell you: do not terrorize these people." He made his way to the auctioning block standing in the middle, where the little boy whose hands were tied together had been in the process of being sold. He put his arm on the boy's shoulders. "Treat them like you would treat your own people. Do not forget this: they are not the enemy. Through rising above our hatred, we can show the real enemy that we are strong, united, and in control. If I hear of anybody here threatening or deliberately harming these innocent people, I will personally send them to the gallows."

Everyone--including the slaves--looked even more shocked than before. No king had ever defended slaves before. Lucian walked away from the tent, satisfied that he had made his point.

When he got back to the palace, he was met by a swarm of his advisors, but he ignored them and issued a command for his guards. "Pose as buyers in the auction. You know the leaders of the covens, correct?" The guards nodded. They had seen who had displayed the most leadership among their people, and took note of their appearances. "Buy them and send them here."

Lucian knew that the leaders were the ones who would most likely dissent. He had to keep an eye on them in his castle to prevent any more hatred to arise in his kingdom. He waved the guards off, and they scampered off to the solace market.

Niran "Get your hands off of me!".
Sienna thrashed and growled at the guard who had man handled her. She saw her sister Levi and brother Thomas up on the stage, looking as depressed and torn as they had been when father had died. Sienna couldn't comprehend what was happening, the king had come out to explain that the slaves were not to be treated viciously. But Sienna had a feeling that some people would take advantage of the king hiding out in his cave never to see the truth behind all the lies.

Levi's blonde tight curled hair covered most of her face as she looked down in despair, her green hazel eyes filled with fear. Thomas was only angry, Sienna could see it in his eyes, his rage was incapable of being hidden. His brown red hair stuck up in spikes and his hazel green eyes showed that he would have his vengeance and vendetta. They were sold to an old man, he didnt seem as if he was going to hurt them.

Before Sienna knew what was happening she was thrown on stage, the dirty old men cheered and grinned as they caught sight of Sienna. It made her sick to her stomach that people were being sold and bought like goods in a market and all they could think about was women and what they could do to the slaves.
Sienna stood up, holding her head high and her face expressionless.

"I'll buy her for 500", one of the men shouted.
Some of the audience gasped and bided higher, as all of this happened Sienna looked around to the children, women and her men. Her family. They were all being taken and separated like cattle.
Suddenly a guard appeared and shouted," No one is buying her except the King!". Sienna looked around to the guard and looked at him with her eyebrows furrowed. The King?
"The King will take all of the covens leaders".
Some of the covens shouted and thrashed in disagreement, she turned to looked at her coven and shook her head, telling them to stand down and not cause trouble.

Sienna was picked up and thrown over a guards shoulder," Unhand me! I have legs, I can walk!", she screeched out.
But nothing, it got her no where.
She rode on the back of the guards horse and did not speak the rest of the way.

Alice (alice20) The guards led a short parade of battered-looking people into the palace walls, bringing them to the throne room where Lucian was seated. He sat, alert and watchfull, as--one by one--they filed in a single line in front of him. There were only five or six of them, but the manner in which they stared so hardheartedly at him sent shivers down his spine. He reminded himself that these were the coven leaders, who were most likely the most strong-hearted and willful of all the captured people, and that he had to be wary of their hatred towards him. He was, after all, the one who deprived them of their independence because of a silly dispute.

Lucian got up from his throne, walking down the steps to talk to them at their level. He had no wish to talk down to them.

"I know you must hate me," he started. "Quite frankly, I would hate me too. You have no right to be treated like this, as slaves, as animals lower than us. I am well aware of the fact that you have done nothing wrong and had no ill intentions towards me or my people. I am truly, truly sorry that we are in this position right now." He walked past the motionless coven leaders, who were still glaring at him with a force stronger than a dagger. He had to let them know that he was on their side to at least lessen some of their hatred toward him. "So, I have a proposition for you. I would like--"

A sudden wad of spit cut in him his tracks. Alarmed, Lucian looked for the source. A man with a face caked in dirt and filth was looking at him with disgust. "Why should we listen to you, eh?" He shouted at Lucian. "You have no right to tell us what to do. Give us our land back! Give us--"

Lucian immediately recovered from the derogatory action and interrupted the man, staring at him with the authority of a king and letting him know that such conduct was not tolerable. "Listen to my proposition first," Lucian said in his soft, authoritative voice. The man quieted down, albeit still fuming from his wounded pride. "I understand," Lucian continued. "Trust me, I do. This is why I am proposing a deal between us, something that none of my subject have had the privilege to be exposed to. I know that each and every one of you are loyal, hard-working people who would sacrifice their lives for their covens. If you could work for me, at least until this havoc dies down, I will personally see to it that you and your coven will get all the respect and financial aid you need."

Niran Sienna could not believe what she was hearing, the king wanted the coven leaders to work for him? Sienna looked to the other leaders and saw that she was the only women standing there looking at the king with hatred and despise.

She looked to the man who had spat at the king and then looked back at the king. No one was speaking so she looked to the king and said angrily," And what of our people? You give them away like cattle and auction them off. We were fine before your men charged and took our lands from us! We do not care if you give us aid, we have our own aid and our own way of living". The coven leaders nodded along and a few grunted, some looked at her as if she was a fool.
"You will never understand what you have done", Sienna said venomously, looking at the king with a scowl of hatred.
