Anyone for a readathon?

Sounds interesting. However I think the time should be chosen well because ppl may be living in different time zones.
Yeah, like me! I wouldn't mind a readthon though, as long as I'm not too busy with the thesis and stuff. That being said, if it's a light read I'm totally in. I'm not in the mood for Dostoievsky and authors that leave you with a headache :P

Depending on what time and whether I have time for it, I could do it but will have to see whether I feel up to it when it comes to the start :)
I was thinking we could just pick a "reading weekend" - Friday night through Sunday night. I know that I'm never going to just read all weekend - unfortunately I don't have that luxury! But I can certainly dedicate my evenings to reading.
That way everyone *should* have someone to speak to during their daylight hours (otherwise we'd be very restricted due to time zone differences).
We don't have to all read the same book, though that could be fun - especially if it's one we don't like, eh Jeshu!? ;)
How would Fri 30th "evening" through Sun 1st "night" work for everyone?

Allowing it to span a weekend would greatly increase my ability to join it, even if it's just in the evening, so I'm all for that. :D

That said, would anyone be interested in a Basically Books readathon in August?
