I had to say that I liked this manga. The main character Noriko is very likable and throughout a few volumes Izark is pretty interesting and also a lot of fun. I will admit that even though there is nothing much spectacular about this manga, the story is still pretty good and the characters are simple and don't need to be complex in order to be liked.Noriko is pretty likable. She's probably one of the most likable "damsels in distress" that I have ever seen. She's kind, shy, has a good heart, and does her best to help others when she can in order to make up for her being rescued all the time. And seeing how she is out of her normal environment, it makes sense for her to be rescued. I also like the fact that she's NOT STUPID. She doesn't make dumb choices that get her into trouble. She thinks things through and it usually comes up with good results. She's also clumsy at times but I still like her.
Izark is also a good love interest. (I don't think I'm giving anything away when I say that.) He has this mysterious air about him and he's your typical lone warrior. He also seems to have this inner conflict with himself that appear in later volumes and I won't spoil anything but I will say that it makes him so interesting and incredibly wonderful to like.
The only thing I would like to see are more interesting villains. In the first four volumes they appear once in a while but it's not until later volumes that they show up. They're aren't interesting and their motive and goals are pretty predictable and clichéd. But despite all that, this manga is good and I look forward to finishing. I have about 5 or 6 volumes more to go. I believe I'm on volume 9.
Which reminds me . . . Note to self: Write review on volumes 5-9.

On her way home from school one day, Noriko is unexpectedly plunged into a strange and extraordinary fantasy world. Her troubles compound exponentially when she is rescued and befriended by a handsome young man by the name of Izark. He may be brave and courageous, but inside lzark lurks the darkest evil imaginable. And according to an ancient prophecy, Noriko possesses the power to unleash that evil. Now, inexorably bound together, these two unlikely allies must navigate a world both wondrous and hostile.
