This is where students have their lunch, or even breakfast, in between lessons. The menu mostly changes everyday except for the drinks. Here, students get to gather or mingle, chat or just read, almost anything is allowed.

Alec slumped onto his own chair, which he had dragged away from every table. Toying with his food and dragging it around his silver-metal plate with his fork and spoon, he eyed the Grey Griffins. All of which seemed so happy with each other. The sickening pang of longing returned again. Why was it that he never had any friends? He saw many arrogant ones with their own friends too, so how come he was always alone? Was it because of his grades? Three over everyone his own age? He guessed he would never know.
Elliot, stranded in the newbie spot, looked about for someone he actually thought he could sit with. Nobody seemed really welcoming. So, copying the person that always seemed to be the opposite yet reflection of him, Elliot dragged a chair away from its table and to a corner, where he sat eating his lunch. He watched everyone around him, the Grey Griffins and the other gangs. And finally, his eyes set upon Raven. She seemed to be eying something or someone longingly. So, following her gaze, his eyes fell upon Harley, a complete stranger. Did she have a crush on him? Maybe. And that, was what made Elliot very jealous.

The changeling sighed and looked away, locking eyes with Elliot for awhile. She sent him a mental message, telling him it would be fine and alright if he sat at her table, for she knew how hard it was, being a newbie. Then Raven leaned back in her chair.
Max joked around with Harley, when Ernie perked up, talking about Round Table. "C'mon Max! Yu have to join! You're going against Xander Smith. XANDER SMITH for gods sake." Ernie pleaded. Max, under pressure, obliged. "Lright, alright." he said out loud, receiving whoops of delight form his friend.

((Cool.))

Elliot read her thoughts and stood hesitantly. He made his move towards her table and thanked her mentally, regaining his quiet atmosphere. But he too perked up at the words 'Round Table', he had heard of it. Actually, he had played in it himself. He won most of the time, and that was how he used to make his living, playing the Round Table and winning. He needed to win, for if not, he'd be starving like his fellow beggars back then. Though, he did share his bread, rice and water with the little ones, who weren't old enough to play the Round Table or work yet.
Alec, who had always thought the Round Table was a huge waste of time, rolled his eyes and turned away from the whoops and cheers of Max, the Grayson boy, joining in the games.

She gave him a nod, getting his message. Then hearing Round Table, blocked it out, since she wasnt that good at it.
Max turned red from all the cheers and compliments. "Knock it off." he called out, blushing.
(( off ))

Elliot noticed Raven turning away from the Round Table conversation and guessed it just wasn't her thing. And though he couldn't say he hated the game, he couldn't say he loved it neither. But he turned to listen more anyway, it wasn't always ordinary that the Round Table was being brought up.
"Seriously, and you'd think this guy loves to show off," Alec muttered under his breath, turning away from the noise the group produced. He already despised the Round Table, even if he still had no idea what it was.

"These kids gamble?"
"I wouldn't say the Round Table is gambling, Li-Ar," Professor Dimitri said, grinning slightly and the sight of the students cheering on Max, urging him to join in the games. "Whatever," Li-Ar said, shrugging, "I heard some people earn money through the Table." "You heard from playing it yourself, you mean," Dmitri teased, raising his eyebrows and the youngest coach in Iron Bridge. Li-Ar smirked and looked into the eyes of Dimitri, "Bingo."

(( can you be Harley please? ))
Raven reached into her bag and pulled out a book. Her sketchbook, to be precise, and she opened to her last part. She was currently drawing one of Harley's inventions. Just then, another changeling, all popular, walked past her, purposely bumping her. The changeling walked off, snickering. "Goth." she snarkily commented. Raven sent her a huge glare, and bent down to pick her sketchbook.
Max and brooke were sitting awkwardly, as the others continued to cheer.

((Right so Harley is the kind and very-in-love-with-Raven guy that's a genius?))
(( he doesnt like to show Raven he likes her, therefore she doesnt know. He is a genius, who can make anything. ))
Elva snuck into the cafeteria and sat at a small table in the far corner. Then she got out her history book and started on the chapter of the Early Middle Ages.
(( sorry sarah but can you lengthen your posts please? ))
Raven heard an extra and another thought burst and clenched her teeth, keeping back a scream as the headache grew even bigger. She kept receiving stories from the clothes belnging to other students, and thoughts were practically zooming in all around the room, directed for the changeling. "Stop.." she said to herself desperately.

((Sure))
Elva flipped the page, and a large image of an armoured knight greeted her, labeled and surrounded by text. She watched for a while as the other students lined up to get food. They were shoving each other about, arguing.
She sighed and let her eyes flicker back to the page, not feeling hungry.

Brooke's eyes wandered around the cafeteria, before she seemed to find something interesting with the girl in the corner, reading a book. "Um guys, I'll be back." she said out loud to the griffins, who nodded amd resumed their chatter. Brooke made her way to the girl, and sat next to her. "Hello there. My name's Brooke. What's yours?" she asked, her bounder faerie curling itself around her shoulders.
Elva looked up, suddenly very shy. She cleared her throat quietly twice, unable to find her voice. After a while she said meekly as she looked up at the girl, "E-Evanescence." She nervously fingered with the corner of the page, then stopped after a while, realising she was bending it.
"Are you new here? I havent seen you around." Brooke asked curiously, looking at Elva. She looked oer the girl's appearance. She was really pretty. Brooke smiled a friendly smile. "Dont worry. I was also nervous here on my first day until i Met.. I talk too much." she said rapidly, her face flushing.
"Oh, um, yes- I- I'm new here." She smiled, then said, "I dont talk enough, or at least that's what my teachers tell me in class," she said, feeling the heat rise to her cheeks, she added, "I dont think you talk too much."
"I.. Uh.. Wanna join us at the griffin's table?" Brooke blurted out, feeling sorry for Elva, sitting all alone in the corner. "the griffins are very nice and friendly." Brooke added. 'and Max is the sweetest.' she wanted to add.
Elvas cheek reddened atthe offeer. "I um, well thanks flr the offer but I- Ive eneve been good at making frkends," she said quietly. She was ashamdd at herself but it was the truth.
"Come on. It will be fun!" Brooke laughed, smiling. "The griffins are friendly. They are really cool and they go along with others too." She said carefully, trying to persuade the lonely girl.
She sighed and packed the book away. "Alright," she said. But she uncertainly stood up. It was never easy to fit in.
"Okay." Brooke grabbed Elva's hand, and dragged her to the Grey Griffin's table. She sat down next to Max. "Hey guys, this is Evanescence. She's joining us." She announced. the group waved.
Elva went beet red, embarrassed. "Hello," she said shyly.

Raven reached into her bag and pulled out a book. Her sketchbook, to be precise, and she opened to her last part. She was currently drawing one of Harley's inventio..."
Elliot, to his own surprise, paid no attention to the other student but he used telekinesis to help Raven lift her sketchbook back onto the table. His attention was all on the Griffins, he sought to know more about the Round Table, if there was going to be any game now or somethings-like money, oh he needed money-to be won at victory. Cocking his head to the side and leaning closer to the Griffins' table he noticed a boy glancing over at both him and Raven. He knew the look of jealousy when he saw one.
"Um-hmm," Alec murmured under his breath as someone he knew he would always hate drew near. What in the world did he do to get the attention of him? Alec was about to dump his food into the trash bin and make a run for it when a firm grip set on his shoulder. "So, how's life?" the two voices of both Professor Dimitri and Li-Ar asked Alec. He swore aggressively in his head before looking up to offer a small and tight smile at both teachers. "Good, what about you guys?" Alec asked through gritted teeth. Professor Dimitri had always took a liking in teasing Alec but when did Li-Ar ever stepped into the game?
What in the world was she doing with him? Harley could feel the heat of jealousy creeping up his spine ever so painfully. He had always thought Raven liked him and him only. So why was that other changeling doing with her? He realized, to his own horror, that Raven had invited the newbie to her table... Could it be that Raven liked the other boy more than she liked Harley? He gritted his teeth together and turned away from them, he'd think about it later.
Li-Ar grinned at the sight of Alec's nervous and annoyed smile. Oh he loved making fun of favorite students. He glanced over at the Griffins table too, and smirked at the sight of two other of his favorites, Brooke Lndgren and Grayson Maximillian Sumner. He gaze then drifted to the other changelings, Raven and Elliot Selika James. His thoughts were interrupted when more cheers to Max upon the Round Table arose. Li-Ar eyed the students, crowding around Max, cheering ever so happily. He then realized Brooke wasn't at the table anymore, instead, she was guiding another new student to the Griffins' table. Evanescence Denna Starlet.
Dmitri followed Li-Ar's gaze and so did Alec, they rested they eyes on both girls. Clearly, the new one seemed nervous but who wouldn't? "You know, monsieur Sebastian Alexander Farra, you should go over there and make some friends. Who cares if Max doesn't relish your company, just make friends with anyone. Evanescence, Brooke, or even Harley. Harley is a good choice, he's as smart as you are," Dimitri said, patting the student he was talking to on the shoulder.
"Fine," Alec muttered before standing. Then sitting down again. He felt nervous, he didn't want to go up there and say 'hi'. Everyone would be staring at him, like he was a freak or something. And yep, people called him a freak more than they called Harley one, even if both their intelligence was about the same. Maybe it was because Harley was much more likable than Alec was? Or maybe it was just some- "Just go already," Li-Ar said, smirking. Then, being dragged towards the table by the Training coach, Alec tried to writhe and struggle out of the nineteen-year-old's grip. To no avail.
"Listen up people," Li-Ar announced at the Griffins' table. "You have two new and lonely people to make friends with now. Evanescence Denna Starlet and Mister Sebastian Alexander Farra." He then ditched Alec there, next to Elva and returned to his position next to the grinning Professor Dimitri, oblivious to the dagger-glares from Alec's behalf.
((HEY GUYS, I'M BACK FROM VACATION AND I'VE FINALLY FIXED MY COMPUTER!!! XD Sorry for the long reply, I have many characters to juggle.))

Eva buried her face in her hands and sank low in her chair. "God this is SO embarrassing," she murmured and looked back up, her face flushed.
"I know, right? When everybody is just staring at you and you feel like they're just going to throw some apples in your face. I can hardly contain myself from grimacing," Alec muttered, trying not to turn away and yell a very creative train of curses at Li-Ar and Dimitri. Sucking in a sharp breath, he awaited a reaction from the Griffins. He felt awkward, being the only one standing among everyone but that was the least of his worries after being turned into a wolf just know and drinking tons of wolf blood. Just thinking about the previous training made him want to puke.
Harley turned to face the newbies. "Hi," he said, "I'm Harley." He pointed at Elva, "You're Evanescence and..." He pointed at Alec, "You're Alexander the smarty-pants like me." He smiled a little as Alec rolled his eyes. "Is there something we could call you for short, Evanescence?"

Elva muttered, "I get that feeling all the time." Realising she was being spoken to, she murmured, "Um, yes there is. It's ELva for short, I guess. You can call me either."
Smiling more, Harley shrugged and stood holding out his hand to Elva. "Well, you're now officially one of my buddies, Elva," he said, awaiting her hand-shake.
"Oh- um, thanks a lot," she said, and shook his hand. She sat back down quickly next to Alexander.
Harley turned to Alec and they both shook hands, though the two didn't exchange a word. But in smarty-pants 'telepathic' language, their gaze transferred the message, "You are like me. I am like you. But you better not get in my way from getting top in class." The two then let go and avoided further eye contact.
Elva watched the two of them and looked around the table again. She still had doubts about fitting in, and she had a certain feeling Alec and Harley weren't going to get along very well.
((hellooo))
Raven nodded her thanks to Elliot for getting her sketchbook. She still kept looking at the Griffin's table, wishing she could go there. She kept receiving many strange thoughts, and she pushed them away, keeping only her thoughts, so she could concentrate on what she wanted to think about.

((I know, right? Let Raven sense the jealousy or something?))
Harley leaned back on his seat and averted his gaze away from Alec. At first, he thought he could make friends with the other genius. Actually, he always had, ever since Alec stepped into the school. But after all the glares and times of humiliation by Alec, Harley had decided he wanted to stay away from the other guy. Turning to Max and Brooke, Harley acknowledged them to say something.
"Look, he's already made a new enemy! How perfect," Li-Ar smirked as he whispered to Dmitri in the shadows. Dimitri grinned back, "You're newer than Alec, Li-Ar. He's as old as a river here and you're just a dewdrop, like Elliot Selika and Evanescence Denna." Raising an eyebrow, Li-Ar looked at Dimitri, now curious about Alec and Harley. "You see," Dimitri said, taking on the history-teacher tone, "Sebastian Alexander and Harley Davidson are both geniuses. They're always best in academics and they're rivals in such areas. So you see, they kind of hate each other."
Elliot sensed the Round Table topic was over, so he leaned back on his chair and started eating. He peered over his plate to see Raven concentrating. Most likely trying to grip onto her sanity. Elliot could sense everyone's thoughts, Harley's, Max's, Brooke's, Alec's, Elva's, Li-Ar's and Dimitri's, but he knew reading humane thoughts was much more easier than listening to objects that probably never lived before. "You alright?" was all he said.

Elva just watched them with her wolfish eyes, mute, and then decided this was way too much for her to handle. She picked up her heavy backpack, slung it over her shoulder and stood up. "I- I think I should go." She turned on her heel and started to walk.
((yupps))
"Other than the fact everything is yelling their thoughts and stories to me, fine. Completely fine." Raven replied, blocking out all the other thoughts that were screaming at her. Even the food were giving out thoughts. "I hate toilets, wood, cement, everything that is not living." She muttered softly. She then sensed different feeling, coming from Harley, and looked up, accidentally locking eyes with him.

Shit? Alec didn't know how to react to Elva's sudden departure, but since he didn't want to be stuck with the jealousy-stricken Harley (yes, it was written all over Harley's face) or the ever-so-confident Max, he stood and followed Elva, though he was sure she didn't need company.
Harley was looking over at the newbie and Raven. Clearly, the newbie could sense that Raven was uncomfortable and just asked her if she was alright. Jealousy filled his eyes and face as he glared at the other boy, who was now oblivious to Harley. Then, when Raven looked up and locked eyes with him, he knew she could see his jealousy of the newbie. turning away, he tried not to scream.

Raven shook her head, and looked away, turning slightly red. She couldn't believe she had just looked at Harley, and got the thought he was jealous. Why would Harley be jealous? she thought. Even though she was a changeling, she was pretty blunt, and didn't understand things like this.
Max fiddled with the Codex, and blankly looked at the table, admiring the blank design. I must be going insane, if I think tables are interesting the boy thought, laughing to himself all of a sudden.

Elva stopped suddenly as she sensed someone following her. SHe spun around and saw Alec. "Oh- hi," she said.
"Hi," Alec answered awkwardly, walking up to her but leaving them almost a metre's distance apart. He took some time to think of what to say, for his socializing skills were really rusty. "So..." he murmured, "you're new here?" He thought that maybe showing her around the school would be good, if it meant getting far away from Dimitri, Li-Ar and Max.
He resisted the urge to answer her question. Elliot thought it was so obvious. Raven was strong and fearless, who wouldn't like her? And most of all, even a newbie like Elliot could tell Harley had a crush on her. And worse, Harley was jealous of Elliot. I don't want to be interfering with Harley's relationship with Raven, do I? Elliot thought to himself. He was about to stand and maybe leave the table if it would make Harley feel any better but no. Elliot realized he didn't want to leave, not to make Harley jealous but because... I can't be serious. I can't be having a crush on Raven, can I? Elliot thought, slightly panicked. He knew what happened in triangles. And he felt deeply helpless when he realized he just pulled himself into one.

"Yeah, yeah I am..." SHe sighed. "It's hard to fit in, it's all so big and new and confusing and humiliating-" SHe stopped herself, feeling the heat rise to her cheeks.
Alec stood silent for awhile. He had came into the school years ago, and he tried to remember what it was like, coming into Iron Bridge Academy with his two elder sisters. He remembered his scared face caught in picture inside Bridget's phone. He remembered how lonely and scared he was when the teachers left him to go make some friends without his sisters. He remembered how everyone was staring at him, when he skipped two grades in his first month. It was all so confusing and awkward back then. Not that it wasn't still awkward now.
Alec decided to just comfort Elva, "Yeah, I know the feeling. Don't worry, it's normal. Need some help, though?"

"Um, sure," she said with a smile. "So what are your favorite classes?"
Alec returned her smile, the first smile he ever gave another student. He shrugged and thought of an answer, "Well, people call me the Smarty-Pants for a reason. I like academics, you know, like Math, History, English, Science and those stuff where you don't have to go running and shedding sweat."
