The Untreed Reads Podcast is officially a reality!

With the assistance of author Kevin J. Cunningham, Untreed Reads has completed production on the very first episode of The Untreed Reads Podcast. The goal was to create a podcast that feels like you stopped by a Borders to see an interview with an author and listen to that author read an excerpt. We're calling it "a booksigning for your ears." Relaxed, casual and unpretentious.

Untreed Reads is one of very, very few independent publishers doing a podcast today. The idea is to do a new author interview every other week, and supplement in-between with a podcast covering new releases. All to be available to listeners around the world.

Effective immediately, you can listen to the podcast from any of the following:

1. iTunes! You can listen to it on any Apple device or any computer that has iTunes installed.

2. We've also had the podcast added to Stitcher Radio. This is a pretty fantastic accomplishment, as Stitcher is one of the most popular apps for streaming podcasts. It's a free app for either Android or Apple devices, and is also available in about 4 million automobiles. You can download the app either from iTunes for all Apple devices or from Google Play at http://goo.gl/JWK8YQ for all Android devices and tablets.

3. Don't want to mess with Stitcher or iTunes? No problem! You can listen on the Internet. We will also begin embedding the podcasts as they happen into both our website and making them available on our Facebook page.

There are lots more podcast directories and apps to come! We've submitted to an additional ten podcast directories already!

To Hell With Fate; or, Why The Best Valentine's Gifts Come From Mini-Marts by Kevin J. Cunningham:

Young love is a myth.

It’s something we’re conditioned to expect by movies and stories. It’s something we all wanted but could never find. And even when we get older and know the truth, we still wish, just a little, that we had it.

When two young cousins find themselves bored to tears at a family funeral, they find another cousin willing to tell them a little story about his young love: how a simple Valentine’s Day gift from a mini-mart became one of the best he’d ever given.

It's a fine story on its own, but as the girls dig deeper, they find themselves enveloped in a longer saga, told one story at a time. One about the difference between a crush and love. One that challenges their notions of fate and perfection. One about how our own worst enemies can be ourselves, and how in the end, we’re all just a little messed up.
