It's not new by a mile but I'm going to see Depeche Mode next month, so right now refreshing on their catalogue.Depeche Mode - Heaven

OMG, Blurred Lines by Robin Thicke is in constant hum in my head.I love the version he does with Jimmy Fallon and the Roots when they are using Fisher Price toys as their instruments. It is so darned charming just watching them all. The guys with the kazoo and the little baby xylophone have the best facial expressions. And Questlove starts doing the Carleton dance.
Here's the video http://youtu.be/YOZjaqHioro

Yes Tina, Blurred Lines is my official song of the summer. That's a cute video. Robin Thicke is the sexiest thing I've seen in a long time.
This song is also the unofficial theme song of most the contemporary-good-girl-meets-bad-boy novels coming out lately.
Really like Robin Thicke. I'm a big fan of blue-eyed soul, moreso than a lot of modern R&B music, because it lacks musical quality nowadays. Just basically a track of beats and not genuine instrumentation.
Paganalexandria wrote: "Yes Tina, Blurred Lines is my official song of the summer. That's a cute video. Robin Thicke is the sexiest thing I've seen in a long time."Seriously. Anybody who writes IR needs a picture of Robin and Paula Patton taped to their monitor as visual inspiration!
Tina wrote: "Seriously. Anybody who writes IR needs a picture of Robin and Paula Patton taped to their monitor as visual inspiration! "Tina, so true. They are such a sexy couple and their random blond little boy is adorable. Genetics are crazy, Robin explained that her mother, his mother, and him being a blonde as a child contributed their sons tow head.
Talib Kweli feat. Miguel named Come Here. I've only heard the clean version so I'm not sure what's been edited. It has a very smooth beat. I only heard it for the first time last week.
Aaaarghhhh! my other earwig song lately is Daft Punk's Get Lucky. I swear this song is crying out for a Flash Mob!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FoB9Oi...

Emilie Autumn's Opheliac. There's just something awesome about her modern take on dark vaudeville. Also Wintersun's Time 1--eight years in the making. I need my Finnish metal fix. And Teemu Mantysaari is just soooo hot!

If Blurred Lines didn't exist, this would be my song of the summer. LOL

I downloaded both of the Pharrell featured songs off that CD.

I have been singing Ooo Lala by Robin Thicke the lyrics say You can have my money, you can have my time, You can have my soul off you want it too... Man who would not want a man to say that ooooo lalala!
I am really loving "Victory" by Janelle Monae. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-TrxrK...I'm about to play it out!
Tonight I experienced that awesome moment when a fantasy you weren't aware you even had was fulfilled. Just came from seeing Depeche Mode and Dave Gahan came back on stage shirtless, while wielding a flogger, and started out a sexier stripped down version of Personal Jesus. I forgot he was my Christian Grey decades before Fifty Shades of Grey was even dreamed of. He is definitely preserving the sexy very well.
Just came from seeing Depeche Mode and Dave Gahan came back on stage shirtless, while wielding a flogger, and started out a sexier stripped down version of Personal Jesus. Oh Jeebus, I think I just came.

A couple of weeks ago the podcast Coverville did a show on Depeche Mode covers. Still love 'me after all these years.
Currently listening to more Janelle Monae. And a big fan of Jack White (solo) and in The Dead Weather.
I should be embarrassed but this is the song I can not get out of my head:http://youtu.be/jofNR_WkoCE
I am not overly religious but this song was played at a funeral I went to this weekend and it's been on repeat in my house ever since. Marvin Sapp - The Best In Me
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U-UAP_...
This song touched my heart in such a way. It was exactly what my soul needed at the time.
Yasei Souseiji by ALI PROJECT: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=55n27z...It has a nice and unexpected rock feel to it.
And Soubikakei by ALI PROJECT, which I just found out was inspired by The Nightingale and the Rose: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=liFwAA...
Narcisse Noir: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jLIa-n...
Such a beautiful song. I listened to it so much. The feels of the music!(;_;)
Lolita in the Garret: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ym9yse...
Après le Noir, which I use for any sweet or romantic scenes in the movies in my head featuring Ashuton and Narcissus, and any character: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mkss4-...
The Maid Reading Aloud and the Little Miss, another ALI PROJECT song which is SUPREME! The classical ensemble in the beginning sounds divine to the ears: http://www.xiami.com/song/1772065788?...
And the Mausoleum Suite from Halo 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dXMbLL...
The Flood levels of that game still manage to creep me out. I love the atmosphere of the Halo series and I loved how parts of it were told from the Covenant aliens' point-of-view.

Wow, Pagan. I can't believe they even made that song up. I'm assuming there had to be a children's story to go along with that because no grown men are just going to pull that one out of their hats. :)

Connie, I know right. I actually put this song on my workout playlist *hangs head shame*. Did you see Kerry Washington when she hosted Saturday Night Live? She did a great parody: http://youtu.be/foMQX9ZExsE

Oh, I love 'What does the fox say' it is soo catchy. But it wasn't supposed to be a real thing. The guys who made it are a comedy duo, Ylvis who have a sketch tv show in Norway. They are kinda like the Norwegian Key & Peele. The video was a nonsense lark to promote their show. It went viral and the rest is history.
And yes the Kerry Washington parody was awesome!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SLJllk...Forgot to mention, Lux Aeterna, from the movie Requiem for a Dream (never saw the movie, too disturbing). But this is Utterly Gorgeous. Epic. It is kinda like Carmina Burana, it makes me want to go conquer something.

Finally! Someone loves Rekka's song.
I heard Oblivion by M83 and Suzanne Sundfor Thursday or Friday night and I love this song. I bought it and I've listened to it like four or five times since then.

I also love I Can't Stop by Flux Pavilion

For Dance/Electronica, I recommend the Ancient Colors series by Bermei Inazawa and my favorite singers: Haruka Shimotsuki, Chata and Rekka Katakiri.
Here is Volume One: http://www.xiami.com/album/511406
And here is Volume 2 by Chata: http://www.xiami.com/album/382268And Volume 3 by Rekka Katakiri: http://www.xiami.com/album/511405
Each album seems to be about certain aspects of life. The first volume is about forests and the universe. The second seems to be about Chinese mythology and the third is about modernism / our world as we see it now (modern society). A reviewer pointed out the colors represent ancient colors (by ancient I guess the reviewer meant Stone Age?). Interesting work.
For anyone that likes J-Rock, I recommend Awaking Emotion by Eiji Wentz: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x1rh...I remember when I first heard that song. Good times (^_^)

I listened to it some, and it's good. I think I would need to be in the mood for that kind of sound. I'm sort of a moody listener. Music is one of my true loves, and I get really focused on certain songs. And at times, I don't listen to music that much.

YAY!!! You liked it!!!!!!! I am so glad!
It takes time to train your ears to that kind of music. I've been listening to it since childhood thanks to YouTube. Ancient Colors is moreso a "sit and visualize a movie in your head" kind of album (for me it is).
On a calmer side, I can recommend the romance-oriented Secret Pleasures of a Dilettante by ALI PROJECT: http://www.xiami.com/album/305316?spm...
It's the fifth track. It combines classical with a modern style of music. It is my most favorite from them (besides Dead Prince's Portrait) and inspired my poem, Narcissus Dilettante and the Hapless Dragon. I hope you like the Dilettante song.
I hope you like this one too: http://youtu.be/TJ-wqzj88tIIt's another classical mash up by ALI PROJECT and their most recent and my top favorite from them. It inspired my 2012 NaNoWriMo Cringefic, The Dragonboys.
Music is my life, too. I make movies in my head to songs I listen to and turn those movies into stories. Thank God for Shimotsuki Haruka and all other music. Sorry for posting so much in this thread! I just love discussing my favorite artists and helping others find them.
