"Hmmm...it smells good enough." He took a hesitant bite

"Are you mute? If you are, don't say anything." he asked
"Okay." He said happily "I'm blind by the way, if you didn't notice."
She nodded and made sure to remember that
He laughed "I think we are going to be friends."
She sent him a message in his mind, I'd love to be friends
"Oh cool! You talk mind speak!" He laughed again

He smiled "I'm tired, so i'm gonna take a nap. Is that okay with you?" He started walking towards the stairs, and bumped into the railing

"Thanks, but you don't need to help me. I probably sound like I'm talking to myself, right?" he said, grinning
"I don't need help." He tried to be gentle, but he was starting to get angry.
He sighed, thankful that he didn't get angry at her.Fern opened her door "Are you having a one sided conversation?"
"Yes." he said, sarcastically, closing his door to his room and falling asleep
Clary sat on the couch and stared at the ground
Fern walked downstairs, and looked at Clary. "Are you okay? I know you don't talk, but can you tell me through your mind?"
I'm fine. It's just that I think August is mad at me
"He's always angry." She said comfortingly "Trust me, I've been friends with him for so long..."
